This is by far our favorite local pizza place… reserved for pizza and salad night each week. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. Thin crust, thick cheese, wonderful tomato paste. We normally order ½ cheese, ½ pepperoni large pizza and a garden salad. The portions are large and delicious. Tonight we ordered a side of garlic cheese bread, which was awesome. Highly recommended restaurant.

We have been patrons of the restaurant for years– both locations– never a bad meal. Pizza is outstanding, dinner salads best in the city– and the pasta dishes have a gourmet quality– it’s all about the sauce– vodka and marina– some of the best you will find. And, go for the roma bread over the garlic bread! The ambience at the 126th street location is lacking a little, but the food is the main attraction. Enjoy!

Made our first stop last night, but not our last as we enjoyed the best pizza in Carmel IN. The staff was accommodating, attentive and treated us like long time customers. We will be back to this great neighborhood restaurant.

Love their pizza, but their customer service over the phone stinks. Not to mention they don’t deliver just a few miles from their location. This just pushes customers to their competitors. They had my business…

Went here because Pizzology had a private party. Was looking forward to trying the much touted lasagna, but they were out. Instead ordered a BBQ Chicken pizza. I believe they must have been overwhelmed that night, as service really suffered. I had to get up and fetch silverware for myself and family. My beer glass sat empty for most of the evening. The BBQ Chicken pizza was dredged in BBQ sauce to the point that it was barely edible. Thankfully the other couple at the table ordered a pizza that came out tasting better and they let us pick at it. I am a big pizza fan and was hoping for a more stand out experience. If you find yourself here, you may want to head to Pizzology.

Quite possibly the best pizza and fresh food I have ever had! The 5 meat is GENEROUS with its toppings. The BBQ is a must! The Santa Fe is amazing! Spicy but sweet! Would recommend Some Guys any day of the week!

This place flat out rocks. It’s our go-to pizza place but the other food is great too. Staff is friendly and efficient and they have a great selection of drinks. It’s not too big so it fills fast on Friday and Saturday. No reservations is a slight bummer but not a biggie. Definite must try place in Carmel.

I love the Some Guys on Allisonville, so I was excited to learn that there’s a second location closer to where I work. I’m hoping it was just an off day. And I’ll be more than willing to go back and try again… But the day I went the food and service was just lacking. My salad was great but my pizza was sub par. Also, there were only two servers for an entire full dining room during a busy lunch hour. The atmosphere of this location isn’t as cozy as the Allisonville location either. Blah. I’ll try it again and hope there are more staff on hand to handle the crowds.

My reviews for pizza on the north side are all starting to sound the same. That’s because all of the pizza I’ve tried has been disappointingly the same, and Some Guys is no exception. Maybe I’m just not the target consumer of this type of pizza that Carmelites and other northsiders seem to enjoy(matzoh-cracker crust, flavorless sauce, pizza cut into squares). If you like Puccini’s, then you’ll love Some Guys(and vice versa), because they are indistinguishable. Bazbeaux is very similar is taste and texture, too.

I think«Meh» is the best way I can describe our visit to Some Guys. We had tried to go two other times not realizing the weird, to me anyways, hours so I don’t know if this had any impact on how I actually felt about the meal. Just so you are aware they do lunch from 11:30−2on weekdays, we got there at like 10 after 11, and they don’t do lunch on the weekends, we assumed they did after knowing they had it during the week. We started with garlic bread and Cajun shrimp bisque which were the best parts of the meal to me. My wife had the«Bomb» pizza(Pepperoni, italian sausage, black olives(she didn’t have the black olives), red onions, mushrooms and green peppers) and I had the the Stromboli. Both of these looked great when they came out but neither of them had a great deal of flavor. While it wasn’t bad nothing was great either and being, for us, in between Pizzology and Rockstone isn’t somewhere we will probably go back to since we like both of those better.

It’s a good restaurant. I stuck with the pasta– sausage lasagna was this visits choice. Watch out, it comes right out of the oven with bubbling cheese! Portions are large for the price. I always leave with a box. Pasta comes with a salad & bread(choose the Roma every time). I got the garlic this time, just to try it. Not one of my best decisions. Customer service is great. I favor the Indy location due to the more intimate setting(darker room & booths). Great restaurant, though!

We’ve been on the search for the perfect pizza for months… we did not find it today. If you like a smattering of sauce and bread with your sheet of plasticized cheese, this the place for you. Gnawing on that wad of cheese gum like a cow gnaws on cud really soured me to the whole experience. We felt let down by the Unilocal community as a whole that any meal this disastrous could be from a place rated four stars … then we remembered that we live in Indiana and that everyone is overweight and dying of heart disease and the popularity of flavored cheese saucers made sense. We took our leftovers to go because my wife has a kinder heart than me and didn’t want to leave 2/3rds of a pizza abandoned, we threw them away as soon as we reached our driveway as the weight of our poor choice weighed on our stomachs foretelling of them wrath our insides are sure to be feeling for days. Less cheese please. Our waitress was nice though!

First time buyer, like time curious onlooker. It was a Friday night everyone wanted pizza. Tired of the norm, we thought to try Some Guys. We ordered a large House Pepperoni, a medium Margherita, and an order of Roma Bread. It was a call in order and the, what sounded like a teen, phone technician was somewhat short, rude, and didn’t repeat my order to confirm full understanding. I knew they were short because I am taller than the average human. Luckily at pickup, a very nice woman was able to pull my $ 45 order together. The House Pepperoni was awesome. The Mozz and ricotta was well distributed. The hand cut pepperoni was very thick with just the right amount of spice. Basil was also present, adding my favorite flavor combo to tomatoes. The margherita was equally impressive. Unlike the square cut large pizza, this was a traditional slice cut. The tomatoes were indeed romas and very evenly sliced. The Mozz cheese had a nice chew. The garlic was a little unevenly distributed but easily corrected before consuming. The Roma bread is pretty basic and seems to be made from the same dough as the pizza. Dry herbs dust the top. Dust is appropriate as the bread is dry and crunchy. I drizzled a nice extra virgin olive oil and some sea salt to help add balance. My only real complaint is that the crust is lacking in flavor. Preparation is very nice as It’s a thin, crispy crust but very dry. The char on the bottom was an even golden brown. The dough is docked to avoid oven rise so adding some sea salt to the mix wouldn’t hurt texture. Even sprinkling some around the edges with a brushing of olive oil would do wonders. To be honest, it’s reminiscent of a saltine cracker without the salt. Overall, we enjoyed the pies and would order again. The price feels a little high but this is a mom and pop shop that’s not cranking out frozen dough so it’s worth the price. Just be ready with some oil and salt:)

This place used to be a weekly must-go when I lived a few blocks away. Moved out of that area in 2004 and had not been back since. I had something going on over on this side of town last week and decided to stop in to get dinner for carryout. It’s just as good as I remembered it. Had just a simple angel hair pomodoro with their fantastic dinner salad. I remember their pizza being excellent and will have to come back again for that. So will this be back in the rotation? Oh yeah. One reason I had not been back was because traveling across Carmel is so time consuming with all of their 20 and 30 mph speed limits and so many traffic lights. Now that the US31 corridor is open I can get from Westfield to Some Guys without hitting a single traffic light. Down to 8 minutes !!

Some guy’s got ‘er wrong. I’ve been wanting to try Some Guys ever since moving to the area based on the Unilocal reviews. We went around 1:30PM and after placing our order realized they closed at 2 on weekdays. That’s annoying in itself. Who wants to feel rushed to eat when you know they’re ready to lock the doors and prepare for the evening crowd? The pizza? I’ve experienced better. It’s not bad, but it’s not great either. In fact, if you asked me how the pizza was I probably couldn’t come up with many adjectives to describe it. Great pizza has a flavor signature that burns a memory in the pizza area of your brain. Overall, meh. The Roma bread was dry. Lather it up with melted butter or something. Give it life. My biggest peeve is their prices. The pizza doesn’t command the price that’s charged. It falls short. Not to mention their wine. I’m talking $ 7.50 for a glass of wine! Are you kidding me? Does this place think they’re ballers? I’ll tell you something. Restaurants that CAN charge $ 7.50 for a glass of wine don’t have food embedded along the booth backings. The place needed a good scrub down. I will say that our server was extremely friendly and enjoyable. She should be working at the restaurants on the upper echelon and not at Some Guys. Would I go back? Nope.

Best salads in Indy. A delicious assortment of pizza. This restaurant is a MUST try. It’s average price. I don’t recommend the cannolis for dessert though.

I don’t know why but I always seem to forget about this place. However, when we do go I’ve always enjoyed the pizza. When I first moved to Carmel over 7 years ago this was the first pizza I had. I’m ashamed to say I’ve probably only eaten here maybe 5 times since then. Its located in the plaza at Grey and 126th street and I just don’t go by there often enough to think about them. Despite not going often, I really do like their pizza. Its a bit different than most chain’s and in a good way. I really need to come here more often.

Awful, awful awful! I try to forgive a lot of mistakes in service because I know these dudes are making like two bucks an hour. I will always forgive a small mistake here and there, because we’re all human and I’m not going to yell at some poor kid for bringing me the wrong drink. I do get upset when my waiter comes off as a petulant brat who antagonizes me for correcting his mistakes or, god forbid, asking to split a check. The woman who sat us down and took our drink order was good. Unfortunately, she didn’t stick around and we ended up with some kid in basketball shorts. He forgot parts of our order and didn’t bother to apologize or look like he even gave a shit when we asked him to bring the forgotten elements back. Two drinks were refilled and *slammed* on the table(what the hell dude), and I was never even offered a second drink. Plates were obviously set off to the edge of the table and weren’t cleared, the menus didn’t even get picked up! Look kid, these are fundamentals. When we asked to split the check, he sighed audibly and said, «Look, next time you should let me know beforehand.» Many mistakes followed this, but the biggest one was assuming there would be a next time at all. It took about twenty minutes of hemming and hawing before we finally considered just paying for our meal at the hostess stand. The waiter finally came back and rattled off the prices we would be paying, without any itemization or indication that he didn’t just make up the prices from the top of his head. Great! We didn’t even see the price of our meal in writing until he brought us some crappy little receipt slips to sign. I didn’t really comment on the food because it was bland and completely forgettable, if not outright bad.

Uuuuuummmm. YUM. Yumalongadingdong! Sooo soooo sooo good. I love their pizzas. I’ve had several of their specialties and I“m always happy. The crust is not too thick and not too thin. Their salad is woooonderful with fresh veggies including olives(none for me please), green peppers, roma tomatoes, red onion all piled on a fresh lettuce with white cheese. There are tons of house made dressings and I love the vinaigrette and ranch. YUUUUM. Buuuut my MUST eat is now their pasta. Holy cow — so delicioso! The vodka sauce comes in three«heats» and I get the mild. It has a nice little kick. They also are very generous with portions and I literally get to eat it three meals in a row. NOT that one needs to. You get to choose the kind of pasta, the kind of sauce and then add meat if you’d like. I like the grilled chicken and it’s always very tender. I also REALLY enjoy their pesto garlic bread and the marinara goat cheese appetizer. SERIOUSLY good. I had lunch in the restaurant recently and the service was a solid B+. The delivery is always right at 30 – 45 minutes even on Fridays, which is pretty good around here. The food is just so good. I will say this is one of the more expensive pizza places in town but OMG. I just love their creative flavor options, vast menu and awesome appetizer choices. My advice SHARE — get one pasta, one medium pizza and one small salad and four of you will have at least two meals(unless someone gets REALLY hungry, which is possible with this awesome-sauce food). Yuuuuuuuuumalongadingdong!
