This is a very cool store in Clay Terrace in Carmel. Took me awhile to go into it because I assumed it was an ultra-​high end boutique. It is a boutique type store but not as high end as I thought I would be. They have really cool and unique boho-​chic pieces as well as word art décor, cool jewelry pieces and other accessories. I will say for what it is, the items are over priced and the sales aren’t that great. I make a lot of wish lists but never purchase because I just can’t justify spending $ 40 on a scarf. I’m hoping for some more budget friendly prices soon. With Charming Charlie across the street at cheaper prices for nearly the same items it’s hard to beat.

Beautiful clothes fun trinkets. I always leave sad and empty handed though. I never pick up a single item under $ 50, even in the sales room.

This store is an Anthropologie lite; the vibe is a tad precious, although they have lots of nicely presented clothes, jewelry and home decorations. If you’re into home décor that has words on it (Live, Laugh, Love; etc.), then Altar’d State is your store.
The clothing is similar to what you’d find in a boutique. Very cute, trendy pieces, though the store looks like it skews a little on the young side. LOTS of jewelry here, too — I saw many earrings and necklaces I wanted!
