A-ok sums up my experience here, as I didn’t have a bad one nor did it blow me out of the water despite the good reviews and a recommendation from my friend; plus I thought each dish was overpriced by $ 2 – 3. I took one of my friends here for his birthday so we ordered a couple of dishes to share and had a glass of wine each, so I feel like we had a chance to try different things across the menu. Roasted Maple Bacon Almonds: 3⁄5. They were tasty but the almonds were kind of stale and not all that crunchy. Plus for $ 8, the portion size was pretty meager. Creamy Truffle Mac & Cheese: 5⁄5. Although the cheese could have been creamier(it was quick to get lumpy) it’s hard to mess up a mac and cheese and this was the dish we enjoyed the most Smoked Salmon Bruschetta: 4⁄5. Tasty but expected more than 5 small crostinis for $ 13. Maybe if the pieces were on a sliced baguette instead of small crostini. Meatballs: 3⁄5. Not bad but the meat could use a bit more seasoning/spice. The sauce was overly sweet for my liking. Shrimp ceviche: 2⁄5. onions and herbs in here lacked flavor and shrimp wasn’t all that fresh. Overall it wasn’t a good ceviche. Their wines all come from Regale Winery in Santa Cruz Mountains, very cool that they keep it local. I sampled the petit syrah, zin, and malbec but wasn’t a huge fan of any of them even after letting them breathe for a couple of minutes. I also made a note on the reservation that it was my friend’s birthday but they didn’t do anything to acknowledge it. I don’t expect a free birthday dessert or the entire staff to drop everything they’re doing to sing, but a simple«happy birthday» at the beginning or the end of service from our waiter would have been nice.

Review is solely based on HH. HH is just OK. The drinks are OK, but the HH food was blahhhh… I was so disappointed. We ordered the following: 1) Malbec: 3.5÷5 2) Layered Greek Dip: 2.5÷5 3) Traditional Bruschetta: 3⁄5 4) Meatballs: 3⁄5

Brought my friend here for her birthday. Not busy for a Saturday night, so there was no wait. Our waiter was courteous and helped us out on which wine to choose. We ended up sharing the Chardonnay wine flights. Loved their white wine. My friend got a complementary glass of sparkling wine for her birthday. We ordered the cheese & meat plate because we just had to. It’s a given when you’re drinking wine lol! We also ordered bbq sliders. Food was good, wine was good, service was good.

Came here for a girls get together. We shared the bruschetta(has goat cheese instead of mozzarella), meatball, and hummus/pita appetizer on the happy hour menu. They tasted okay, but not out of this world. I also ordered the Freddy’s special which had prosciutto, salami, and provolone cheese on ciabatta bread. This tasted good. Our server was very attentive. Overall, the food was okay, the selection for appetizers and entrees were limited(might be because they focus on wines). Likely would not come back for just the food, but maybe the wine, service, and atomosphere.

Came here to celebrate a girlfriend’s birthday and was super happy with the service, food, and wine. Our server Sean was very helpful in helping us make our decisions. Also, their happy hour specials are pretty good! Their happy hour is from 4−6pm during the week. Roasted Bacon Maple Almonds: Good but was hoping it was more bacon-y :) Traditional Bruschetta: SOOOO delicious. The thin layer of goat cheese made a huge difference in this classic plate. Shrimp Ceviche: This dish was okay but it didn’t blow my mind. Meatballs: MUSTGET. These are sooooo yummy, we ordered two plates. Their wine flights are served in regular sized wine glasses, which makes the tastings look HUGE. I had the Pinot Noir flight and was very happy with all three wines it came with. Would definitely come back here! Actually… I can’t wait to come back here and try more food! *The only CON is that I inquired about a private party a few weeks to a month ago and got a very unhelpful and brief response from the event coordinator. I replied with more questions and a better description of the event I wanted to have and still to this day have never gotten a response.

I recently went to Rendezvous Wine Bar on a quiet Saturday night with the bf. I saw that it had great reviews, so I figured I’d give it a shot. I was looking for a wine bar that had a good selection of wine with an equally great selection of tapas. The menu is fairly extensive, but a little on the spendy side. When we arrived it was about a little over an hour before closing(11 p.m. on a Saturday), so we quickly ordered a wine flight and a cheese board with salami. The white wine flight was kind of boring. I don’t think there was one wine in particular that stood out as my favorite. The cheese plate we got had brie and a butteryish Gorgonzola. I thought the brie was fine, but that the Gorgonzola was a little weird. I typically love Gorgonzolla, but I wasn’t in love with this one. I don’t even think it tasted anything like Gorgonzola. The Salami was good, and I think the feature of the three items. The plate also came with a few pieces of bread, seasoned olive oil, and balsamic. There was too much cheese for how much bread they provided. The bathrooms are on the lower level, and are just fine. The overall wine bar feel was nice, and quiet, probably a good place for a first date. However, when I walked in I immediately smelled bleach. That reminded me of my college days when you’d walk into a pub that has been scrubbed down with bleach to cover up the vomit and beer spills from the night before. I’ll probably give Rendezvous another shot and try a couple different glasses of wine, with a different item on the food menu. There were other items that interested me, so hopefully those do not disappoint. I especially was excited to see they have a truffle mac and cheese. mmm!

Great wine selection and flights! Our server allowed me to custom build my own flight when I mentioned I liked whites and sweets. Our food was tasty — the Mac and cheese is creamy and flavorful. If you’re super hungry and you’re getting the sliders, you can order more(comes with 3 small ones). The place is great for conversation and catching up! Also, the cheesecake? So great. We were all fighting for a bite!

3 ½ stars — Unilocal doesn’t allow halfsies. A very cute wine bar. As another Unilocaler pointed out, one of the better ones in South Bay. More under $ 10 a glass wine options. Several menu items need more accurate food descriptions: Example A: Pine nuts in the Tomato Carpaccio. Management: Pine nuts are not mentioned anywhere for this item on the menu(I don’t have a food allergy, just despise pine nuts, my food nemesis), I see a lot of these coming back to the kitchen because of that. No, everyone does NOT like pine nuts. Meatballs are the bomb. All the food is really good.

Cute little wine bar to chill and relax. I enjoyed the bubbly and white wine flights. The charcuterie plate was delicious as well. A much older white crowd that comes here.

IMO, one of the better wine bars in the South Bay. I had dinner here last night with a girlfriend and we literally felt like ordering everything off the food menu. We came for wine… we left with tons of grub calories in us instead. FOOD: Spring Salad w/Grilled Chicken — Loved the feta and light balsamic vinaigrette Meatballs — Beef meatballs with this amazing sweet tomato sauce(one of my faves) Tangerine Prawns — Came with garlic, parsley, orange zest, lemon zest, olive oil, chili flakes and chipotle aioli(so juicy and plump!) Creamy Truffle Mac & Cheese — Came with white cheddar and gruyère, black truffle, buttered bread crumbs(holy foodgasm, tasted very homemade) Grilled Cheese & Bacon Jam Panini — Came with fontina and housemade bacon jam on grilled sourdough(I would come back again and again just for this one) WINE: They offer featured wines from Regale Winery and Vineyards(located in the Santa Cruz Mountains). I had a taste of the Regale Pinot Noir and wasn’t the biggest fan of it. But then again, I’m a Cab girl so I went with the Rustic Reds Wine Flight instead. My fave was obviously the Cab out of that selection. This is such a great spot for a date night or a girls night out. Ambiance is very calm so you can carry on a conversation without yelling across the table. Actually, this place would be perfect for business meetings as well. All in all, I had a fabulous time wining and dining here. Will be back here very soon to try some other wine flights and of course some of their delicious grub!

I love this wine bar, especially the name! The staff here are very knowledge and there are many wines to choose from as well as small eats. I really enjoyed the live music, ambience, and the spacious seating. Our group ordered two bottles of red wine and a cheese/meat plate to share. I definitely recommend this place for date night, outings with your girlfriends, and even large groups. 5STARS

This place is just wonderful. I checked out the Unilocal reviews before I made the reservation online for me and girlfriends Monday night(very easy to do that through help, I recommend that). The place is a great size and all the staff that works there is just SO nice and gentle. Yes it was pricey but honestly, we got a bottle of Pinot Grigio; we were debating between 3 different types of wines(all different tastes) and they let us try all 3, without even us having to ask. Major plus. The bottle came to $ 55.00 I want to say, but split 3 ways was no biggie at all. I will come here again with it a doubt.

I’m really digging this new-ish addition to the neighborhood. The ambiance is open and fun, with awesome local art by the owner. I found it odd that the max capacity was about 46 but there were way more than 46 seats inside. It wasn’t even cramped at all. I have to admit, while there are many wine bar choices in the campbell area, Rendezvous has the best dining options. Usually, I want dinner with my wine and this place really does that part right. The first time I visited, my friend and I split the pulled chicken sliders– those were so amazing! This week I ordered the spring salad with chicken. The chicken was so flavorful and the salad was light and complimentary of the wine. The prices are in the«trendy» range, where you won’t find a glass of wine under $ 11. The young professional struggle is real. If you’re indecisive, I find the flights are well worth the $ 20 and gives you a sample of a couple different wines.

Very knowledgeable staff and beautiful bar. I love the wines… so delicious. The batrop is really pretty .white with silver sparkly stones in it. Very unique. The flights are a little pricy but you get what you pay for because the wines are delicious. A definite gem in the heart of Downtown Campbell.

Walked in to be greeted by a friendly hostess and noticed a very warm, clean and modern atmoshoere. There was a live music artist singing and playing an acoustic guitar. The music was soft and enjoyable throughout the meal. My girlfriend and I made the reservation through Unilocal, which was very convenient and we were seated right away. Based on reading other Unilocal reviews we were expecting to have an amazing experience. Nothing was bad but our expectations were not met. Although the server was friendly it took a while for her to arrive to take our first order. Then to come back for our main dish. And even longer to bring us the check or process the card. We ordered the tomato, basil and burrata salad to start. The tomatoes were sliced thin, burrata was creamy and delicious, and it was evenly(pet peeve) topped with basil, vinegrette, croutons and seasoning. This was unanimously chosen as our favorite dish. For the main dishes we ordered the shrimp with chipotle aioli and the truffle mac. The shrimp had okay flavor but nothing special. Some of the shrimp tails were left on and others had been removed. Odd. I enjoyed the chipotle aioli, which was unique and only a little spicy. Wasn’t sure how it fit in with the shrimp, though, because the shrimp had its own sauce, flavor and seasoning. The truffle mac was highly anticipated and equally disappointing. The shape of the pasta was very unique but came out way overcooked giving it zero texture. The consistency was very nice, creamy and stringy. The flavor of the mac was okay but very mild and although we could taste the truffle it was quite muted. My date liked it because she’s not a huge fan of truffle. But, c’mon, it’s truffle mac n’ cheese! I would have given this place 3.5 stars if it was an option. However, I don’t feel like it was worth 4 stars. The total price of these 3 dishes was $ 45 and the portions were quite small. Combined with the slow service I’m not sure we will be back. We left hungry and brainstorming the next place to eat.

Long overdue review of this place! I went here back @ the beginning of the year. It was for an event to meet new people and enjoy this place lol. Plus I remember seeing this place come up, so it was nice to finally check it out! This part, 5 stars! BEFORE the check came, our server was nice. [Just keep reading to see what happened] When my drink came out he told me the guy @ the bar accidentally poured me a full cup instead of half and he just gave me it. I thought that was really nice of him since there is a price difference, so @ that moment I was jumping up and down in my head lol. That was all going to go away when the check came… This part 1 star! We got here just mins before happy hour was to be over. So we thought. I placed an order for two drinks like TWO mins before happy hour was to end and it didn’t count cause I ended up paying full price. WTF? I even tried asking our server and he argued with me saying it wasn’t happy hour price anymore when I placed my order. I know it WAS cause right after I told him I checked the time. I didn’t speak to a manger cuz I was on a time frame, but I couldn’t believe that 1. He argued with me about it. 2. You work @ a nice wine place, have a better attitude, and don’t argue with customers. 3. Remember that saying«customers are always right». Even when they aren’t. :] This part 4 stars. Getting to our drinks. They were good. You could taste the alcohol a lot in my boyfriends wine lol. He’s not a fan of that or wine, but he had a to get a drink. You don’t come to a wine place and not order something! The drinks we order were Veedha Douro, Portugal Blend ’11 and Antico Fuoco Amarone Rosso Veronese IGT, Veneto, Italy ’12. Both red. This part 3 ½ stars for downstairs and 4 stars for upstairs. It’s a cozy wine bar. There’s the bar downstairs with seating, but it’s really cramped. Like people get in your bubble and then you have to always check on your purse. It’s annoying. Don’t bring a purse, bring a wristlet or just your wallet. Something to put on your lap. Just a suggestion if you want to have a good time. There’s a small stage for live music. Then there’s upstairs which was where I was @ most of the time. It’s very nice up there, however it gets warm! I like up there cause it’s like your own little special area. The lighting is on the darker side compared to downstairs and just really nice. But it needs more air. I would go back, since I couldn’t stay long the first time. I didn’t get to try any of their food either so that’s a must next time I go! Overall I would give this place 3 ½ to 4 stars, but I’ll put 4 on my review.

What an amazing night! My girlfriend and I decided Tuesday was a good night to discover new wines and a new scene! This place is fabulous. Ordered: A red flight from the sommelier(ugh, hate the fact I didn’t even get his name!) — I asked for him to just choose what he liked. I told him I like California cabernets and he ran with it! Great choices and I enjoyed all three of his picks! I was really happy to experience some of the Regale wines. The charcuterie was great and he added some olives for us as well! One of the owners also was kind enough to add in a couple complimentary tastings with our dessert chocolates. Let me say, this place compliments the area and the menu for the food choices look perfect! Can’t wait to experience more wines and the food! Thank you for an amazing Tuesday night!

Twice in one week! This new wine bar is an awesome addition to Downtown Campbell! Came here for Happy Hour, and then again for dinner and the Thursday night live music. Love the décor and the artwork on display. There’s plenty of space for larger groups at the bar level and up above in the loft. The service both times was on point, and Shawn, the bartender, was really great, as was our waitress Virginia. Both were very friendly, patient, and eager to help us truly find wines and food that we would love. The«I shouldn’t get this, but I have to!» Rosemary Truffle Mac-n-Cheese is amazing! Cheesy, creamy, sinful goodness! The rosemary was distinct, then the truffle kicks in, and the whole bite just melts in your mouth(as your eyes roll to the back of your head because it’s sooo good!). Other standouts: Beet Salad, Garlic Cilantro Shrimp, and Brussels Sprouts(which I ordered minus the pancetta since I don’t eat meat). I love how the food is divided into 4 categories: Conversation Starters, Social Lights, Hearty Affairs, and Social Bites. Gluten-free options available as well. Happy Hour wines I loved were the Sparkling Cuvée Rosé Brut, McManis Vineyards Pinot Noir, and Honora Vera Granacha. You can order by glass or half glass, which is also a plus!

LOVE this new little gem in downtown Campbell. I took my daughter here last night and we both thought it was«swanky». Okay, so everything with sparkle seems to catch my eye and this place has an ultra swanky SPARKLY bar top. Yes folks … it doesn’t take much to make me go «AWE» lol. Anyway, Renezvous has great high ceilings, plenty of tall bar tables, a separate space for small events and a GREATBIGLONG Bar that sits … a lot. We chose two stools at the end by the window and I was on happy mommy. Great place, great people watching and even better company. Oh, and the wine was pretty tasty too. My kiddo has an impressive palate already an ordered the Bordeaux. She loved it. I had a half glass of the Chenin Blanc and then a half glass of the Chardonnay. Both were good but the Chardonnay was the winner for me. Yummy yummy! This place gets hoppin on Friday night so come early if you’d like a seat at the HUGESPARKLY bar. We has seat stalkers waiting to swoop in as soon as I got the bill. Then again, I think we had the best seats in the house so I’d probably do the same. We didn’t try the food here this time but the menu looked yummy and the wine was great so I’m sure we’ll be back soon. By the way, the service was great! I don’t remember our servers name but she was super friendly, suggested great wine options and dealt with an old bitter woman with grace and professionalism. Why do some people feel they are entitled to talk down to wait staff? It’s REALLY irritates me. Anyway, we’ll be back. Cheers!

BESTNEWPLACEINTHEAREA!!! Aaron is the manager and he made sure my birthday was amazing and Holly was awesome since I was asking for a lot of things last min, during the holiday season and the night turned out beyond perfect! Every staff member I met was nice and seemed happy to be working there! We had an array of appetizers and everything was fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to try some of the main courses.
