Fat kid behind the bar that works the Sat. Afternoon shift was rude and messed up quite a few orders. Needs new staff

I wish it was possible to give zero stars. I don’t go to Starbucks expecting to get the best cup of coffee, because let’s face it they don’t have it. I typically will only go to Starbucks for the convenience, since they are everywhere! Now I know Starbucks changed their routine a while ago. Trying to change the experience, blah blah blah. Huge mistake, it shouldn’t take more than five minutes to get a damn cup of coffee. Starbucks offering food, wine or beer is ridiculous. Know your niche and stick with it. Starbucks should be nothing more than a quick and convenient place to get a cup of coffee. This particular Starbucks in Burlingame is worse than most. I’ve stood in line for 15 minutes before I’m able to place my order. Now don’t get me wrong, I understand places get busy and lines get long. But when you’re standing in line and it’s just not moving, it’s ridiculous. This has to do with an incompetent staff and a horrible layout. What’s more, after standing in line just to order your drink you have to wait another 10 to 15 minutes to get your actual drink. It’s absurd. They usually have one person making the mediocre drinks. And what seems to be a whole lot of other employees walking around doing nothing.(Are they cleaning? No. Are they helping get drink orders started? No.) Most of them seem to be talking about their upcoming plans for the night. I believe it’s the organizations fault for having a horrible layout and design to make their drinks. Add the incompetent customer service, it’s a nightmare. If you want a cup of coffee in downtown Burlingame skip Starbucks, Peets is down the street.

If there was a possibility to give zero stars to such an establishment, I would certainly givth one to thy. This starbucks is an abomination to all starbucks across the western coast of the east atlantic. There english crumpets not only are toasted too much, but also have american cheese instead of fine Gouda. By the words of young baby jesus, «goo goo starbucks sucks goo goo». The manager is not even attractive and owns a prius. Not only does this prius look like a piece of untoasted flatbread pizza from starbucks, but tastes like garbage. In conclusion, the more you think about it, its not that bad.

These jokers have me standing there for 10 mins after I pay for my «Mango Black Tea and Lemonade». Then, they tell me, ‘oh yeah we’re out of lemonade’… How do you sell a Lemonade drink and not have lemonade?

Came here for a short work meeting today and the barista(Asian male, 20s or early 30s) decided to be comedian of the month. At the counter, I ordered an iced green tea for my co-worker and he walked over to interrupt and said, «lemme guess, no sweetener?» This was probably after he overheard me speaking to my co-worker and wanted to join in on our fun. Later, we planned on moving from our bar top to a table after 2 moms and their screaming babies left crumbs all over the table(seriously, how have people been excused to be TOTALSLOBS in public?) and asked Asian comedian if he could please help us wipe the table. Asian comedian decides that we’re in China or a boba drink establishment and tells me INCHINESE, «yes I’ll be there in a minute to wipe that table.» Thanks dude but I’m really not interested in hanging. Here for work SPEAKINGENGLISH the entire time and don’t appreciate assumptions or eavesdropping on customers. Thankyouverymuch. My chai latte wasn’t good at all(lukewarm, cloyingly sweet and obviously made from premix) and an older creepy dude sat down at our table and spent the majority of his time either staring me down or staring directly at my laptop while I discussed business with my co-worker. Clearly doesn’t know what peripheral vision is. This was a gross experience overall, don’t know what else to say about that. Won’t be returning.

I live in Burlingame and anytime I go to this Starbucks in the morning, it takes twice as long as anywhere else at the same time, to get coffee. They need to revise who they have working in the morning versus slower periods of time because this isn’t working. From the reviews I see that I’m not the only one who is highlighting the slowness of their service. I do want to note that the employees are not bad people. They are very nice to interact with and are always respectful. It IS possible to have efficient service and maintain the politeness. Let’s step it up a notch, Starbucks.

Warning!!! DON’T ORDERCLOVERCOFFEE60MINUTESBEFORETHESTORECLOSES. Apparently, Starbucks has a rule where employees are not allowed to. You have been warned. Just so you know. FYI.

Went in a couple times over the holidays while doing Christmas shopping on Burlingame Ave. took over 15 –25(!!!) minutes each time to get one drink. So slow. They only had one barista working each time too, and the last time he was so passively aggressively slow it was mindblowing. He clearly did not give a crap. How can you staff only one barista over a Saturday before the holidays??? Acoustics are way too loud, esp when all the kids from the high school and middle school stop by. Gets very crowded and the layout is also super awkward so you have to fight your way through all the people standing around waiting for their drinks to get into the line. Unpleasant. Plus I got a parking ticket for the last time I was there since it took so damn long to actually get my drink!!! Thanks Starbucks and city of Burlingame!

I’m not a regular Starbucks customer, but I love their mocha and latte drinks also their nice selection of pastries at reasonable price. It’s a small location and busy, however they get you in and out with agile and friendly service. The location is great — you can order your drink and food then sit and people watch or hook up to the internet and browse. It offers a good range of seating options, including outside table for laptop users. Very relaxing after shopping. All in all, a good cup of hot coffee can warm you up so wherever you are Starbucks is always a must visit for coffee lovers.

Just to start off, I want to justify my three star review by saying the service here is extremely slow and despite the remodel I find the layout is quite congested. That said their drinks are always pretty good and sugary and I guess reasonably priced. I got the truffle popcorn from their new Starbucks evenings and they were awesome. Almost almost worth the fact that they charged me for something that they didn’t have.

Not cool Starbucks! I showed up tonight at 10:30pm to get a pastry and coffee and you had already packed up ALL the pastries. 30 mins before closing! That’s not okay. As long as you are open all pastries should be available until closing. And I think it is legally required to have all employees have their hair back or up, including the men too.

always freezing cold in here, unbearable. the line is always always so long — it’s loud and overly crowded, and I feel like the employees are so stressed out. It’s not an enjoyable experience. Meh.

Good service and a good location. Right in the middle of the buzzing Burlingame Ave. The coffee shop is kinda small and it can get pretty crowded specially on the weekends. There’s a few outdoor seating for sipping your coffee while people watching. Lots of parking spots around so parking isn’t an issue.

I feel that the only good thing about this Starbucks is that it is open late. Apart of that, coffee is mediocre and no local vibe at this place. But I’m not a Starbucks fun in general. There is an outside seating and fee wi-fi that mostly overloaded with students laptops.

The service was just fine but the cleanliness could use a little help. There are a lot of seats next to the bathroom and boy it did not smell great at all. I usually don’t notice these things too much but this was unacceptable. How do you expect people to use Starbucks as a third home!

~ Soy Chai Latte ~ This has been my go-to drink over the past several weeks. I do ask for non-fat and a bit less on the chai pumps because more chai from Starbucks is actually more sweet than actual Chai.

Bad Customer Service! I wanted to order a simple green tea frappé. The man making the drink was Benette. As he was making another woman’s drink, he wasn’t even looking at was he was doing because he was talking to another lady. When he finished the drink, the woman who ordered asked: «Is this soy milk? Is this sugar-free?» He responded: «Uhhh I’m not sure, but you can try it.» This was so unprofessional, not even knowing what he was making. Then as he was making my drink, the green tea sat in the blender for about 2 minutes. *STILL* talking to the woman, my friend proceeded to say«Hurry up, chop chop» in a friendly manner. The barista had the audacity to say, «I’m gonna go slower now.» This was very unprofessional and straight up rude. The drink on the other hand was good. Just wanted to say how the customer service was horrible.

I have been going to this Starbucks for awhile now. I was surprise how many local«retireeers» frequents this location instead of Peet’s. It is so much fun to see, two old men, sitting outside, truly enjoying their moment! When I live to be 80 years old, I want to be as happy like them. Enjoying the zest of life! :p This location is narrow and bathroom is located way on the back towards the other entrance, opposite Burlingame Ave. Yes, two entrances! LOL Service have been upbeat, and the staff gets you in and out! It does get very crowded here after 3pm when school gets out, and parking can be a challenge so I recommend parking at the lots with a 2 hour parking! If you have an hour to chill, I also recommend checking out Rue Du The( ) They are fantastic with«High Noon Tea» and they have an outdoor seating that is very dog friendly! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Conveniently located in downtown burlingame near lots of shopping and restaurant options! Line moves quick and the cashiers here are super friendly and helpful. I haven’t used my card in awhile and the cashier helped me reload my card and also charged my drinks individually so that I could my stars! Nice spot to grab a quick coffee then head to sephora ;)
