OS Cafe

Such a lovely café. Brewing the wonderful café grumpy, and they make quite a good cup of coffee. Shortbreads of all kinds and pastries including the awesome magpie pop tart. Service is warm and friendly. Downstairs they offer a sweet kids music program on Fridays. Great addition to the neighborhood.

This place is lovely. The owners are warm and welcoming, the coffee is good, and they have super cute little shortbreads and things. And wifi.

Their coffee is the perfect safe haven for those moments in life where you need either a stimulating pick me up or a relaxing break from life. The ambiance is quaint and is warmly comforting, the service is very friendly and attentive, and the coffee — the taste makes time stop and effortlessly guides your senses to all of which is in that cup of deliciousness.

Really excited about this new addition to south slope! Great coffee and americano’s (Café Grumpy beans) and great service. It’s the only place I go now for my wife and me. We live on 14^th street so it’s super convenient. Haven’t had any food yet but the snack stuff they are selling is top notch so I am sure the food is great. Fresh bread from Balthazar daily. Anyway, I highly recommend Os to anyone in Park/​South Slope.

The coffee! The coffee! The coffee!!! This is it folks, some if the best coffee I have ever had. The cappuccinos and lattes are out if this world because they feature Café Grumpy’s Heartbreaker espresso and Battenkill Valley. The rich flavors of Heartbreaker espresso get enhanced by the decadence, creaminess and sweetness of the milk! It is true synergy. Also, the barista’s, Javed’s, attention to detail is phenomenal.
Now I come to OS Café every morning to grab a coffee and sometimes pick from the assortment of Balthazaar breads and pastries, Chocolate Room goodies, and shortbread imported from Short Bread House of Edinburgh, Scotland! I’m also excited to try the vegetarian sandwiches they just added to the menu.
Wow, haven’t even gotten to what really makes OS great! If you’re like me and you love to have spots in your neighborhood where you can come for great vibes and a homey feel… this is it. I chill here, I do work here, I dash in and out if here for quick cup’o’joe because OS is a more than a café. OS is Park Slope’s home away from home. Thank you Javed and Tasnim!
