This is the kinda place where people get drunk and leave with your jacket. I really love this place. It picks up around 12ish dance wise and the dj’s always kill it. That said, they desperately need a coat check. The first time I went there me and two other people had our jackets lifted. This last time someone took my roommates jacket. I don’t know what it is about having a good time at this place that turns people into jacket bandits but it’s not chill. Die very slow jacket snatching doofuses.

My friends and I love this place when the DJ is good. Great vibes for fun dancing. The other times we went though the music wasnt too dancy and it was overcrowded with people just standing around. I much prefer it when it is a dancy scene.

The décor is what made to want to visit and it seems like thats the only good thing about it. They were playing rock music. blah. Why put in all that work to make the place look retro and then play some crap rock music. Ordered a drink. They didn’t have grenadine. Didn’t really care. Asked if they had a wifi password and the bartender hands be a framed piece of paper with the wifi password written in sharpie. Couldn’t read it. Tried to enter it in a few different ways then he just took it away from me while I was still trying to enter in the password. Then the bartender talked to some girl a ton. It was a sunday night. Around 7pm. There was another girl there and a couple. Waste of time.

If I lived in Brooklyn(and this neighborhood), I suspect I would be a frequent patron of One Last Shag. My group of friends arrived early-ish on a Saturday night and tucked ourselves into one of the booths right near the front door. We all immediately loved the music(great R&B, hip-hop, and pop hits from the 90’s/early 00s). I hadn’t tried any of the draft beers before, so the bartender poured me a sample of one of them and gave advice, which was appreciated. For my second drink, I ordered one of the seasonal cocktails — the Winter Gimlet(Titos with thyme, brown sugar syrup & fresh lime). The cocktail had a great blend of flavors. The brown sugar syrup was not overpoweringly sweet, and the lime came through nicely. I wish we had stayed until it got dancier, but it was still a queer-friendly space that had great music, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere.

I’ve been here a few times and each time I’ve come they’ve had a different person behind the bar. They’ve all been super nice. I love their custom drink selections. My favorite is «on fleek» so good. I love the music they play and they definitely have room to a dance a bit. They do take cards as well! I definitely recommend this bar of you’re in the neighborhood

This bar used to be so.much.better. The dance scene and bartenders are FUN but the bouncer ruins the entire vibe. He is sexist and out of nowhere will yell at you for NOREASON. Trust me I have been yelled at when warranted but this guy is absolutely insane. He is so rude and so unprofessional… I have had him say I was banned before and have zero reason why and then the next time I come not say anything. THISGUYNEEDSTOBEFIRED. I know several friends who refuse to even step food in this bar due to how horrible and aggressive the bouncer is. If they found a new guy I would love this place again but he has truly squashed that possibility.

I came here with my girlfriend on a Friday night and had a BLAST. + SUPER queer-friendly! There were several other queer couples hanging out, which made me feel comfortable and happy. + The DJ played an awesome mix of hip-hop that was heavy on both Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. So much love. + I saw people dancing harder than I’ve seen at any bar ever. Someone was using a beautiful combination of flailing and slow-mo that I don’t think I’ll ever get to witness again. If I could write a Unilocal review of their dancing abilities, it would be five stars. –A bottle of Modelo was $ 6. The fuck is this?

I am giving this place 2 stars because it was nothing that wow’d me. Yes, the drinks were pretty cheap but the crowd was meh and the music was meh. I wouldn’t go back. My friends and I left to go to another spot

+Arty, hipster. Pleasant ambiance on a Sunday evening. Not too quiet, not too loud. –Service was so-so, with the bartender studiously ignoring me. (My friend and I literally started waving our arms in the air to get his attention. It was not busy. We were sitting at the bar.) –They were out of all bottled /canned beers except some terrible $ 3 «cream ale» ? +Free condoms!

Fun. Good for dancing. Good crowd of artsy hipsters. Good cocktails. Reasonably priced. I would call this location«hood-adjacent,» which doesn’t warrant the removal of a star but just a heads up. All in all it’s a fun spot with good drinks that’s great for dancing.

I used to boogie here when it was Sweet Revenge, but was glad to hear the dancing was still going on now that the bar has been reborn as One Last Shag. What I wasn’t glad to hear was that there was a cover fee to get in, when the bar was impossibly packed to begin with. I sucked it up, I paid the cover, then I waited 15 minutes to get a High Life and try and find a spot to dance. I will say, the music was fun and the crowd was into it, but I was sore about that cover fee. Might be better to come on weeknights and enjoy the backyard, or come early on weekends to avoid paying to try to dance.

They have some fun DJ nights that are worth going to. The bartenders are nice but I usually end up waiting a really long time to order a drink. This goes for when it happens to be relatively empty there too. It’s just kind of odd. But it is a nice clean bar with friendly bartenders and a pretty big outdoor space.

The dreadlocks bouncer was the worst person I’ve ever encountered in NYC. I’m so appalled at an asshole bouncer like him. I will never, won’t, cannot, and shan’t come back because he was so rude. I will NEVER come back, and this is my friend’s favorite place. I feel like I can’t be clearer about my terrible experience. The female bartender even apologized for the shitty bouncer.

Had a really great birthday party here in August — the vibe was fabulous and great for those who love low-key, friendly get-togethers but enjoy the option to dance. And best of all, I bumped into some neighbors at OLS. Nothing feels more like community than unexpectedly finding friends tucked away in some local venue, especially in a city like New York. The dance scene was totally comfortable(and queer-friendly!) with great music. If you dance extra hard, it’s pretty easy to make friends on the dance floor :) This is the only bar I’ve ever given a 5 star review and I’m looking forward to going back.

I love this spot. Not the biggest or most well rounded selection of beers but I think they try to keep the taps appropriate for the season(because drinking a stout in the summer time isn’t the best idea). This is my at any time spot(if I’m broke I can drink, if I feel like cocktails I can drink, if I’m waiting 5 minutes for my take out order across the street I can have a quick drink) The bartenders have amazing taste in music and are very friendly. I never feel out of place if I come here alone or with a group of friends. The space can accommodate all. There is also a nice backyard.

One bar that we visited was in Brooklyn, and it was entitled«one last shag.» Who doesn’t want one last shag? They are 21 and up, and I loved the sign that reiterated that you can’t be 16 years, 6 years, or even 6 months old. I actually thought this bar looked really chill and like a fun place to hang and chill with friends. I had one whiskey and water. It wasn’t too expensive. I think it was $ 6. This is a bar that I would like to spend more time in.

This is my favorite bar. They have good Dj’s and it’s really fun when everyone starts dancing. The staff is great. The outdoor area is amazing in the summer. And the weird table with a curtain around it is the best place I know of to kick it with a group of friends.

The outdoor section of this place is the bomb. So what if the area is gettin’ all gentrified and what not? This place is a cool bar. The staff is cool, and the name is so great. I wish I still lived in the area so that I could get back here more often.

Just my opinion, of course, but I went there on a crowded weekend night and the music was cheesy and awful and too loud. A group of people who all seemed to know each other were dancing and they were kind of goofy but looked like they were having fun so good for them. Bartender seemed nice and professional that night. But I went there earlier on another night and although I liked the music the bartender was playing on his ipod, he was a dick. Better for a younger crowd for sure. Like perhaps even college-young. When it gets warmer I might go back and check out the back patio but if it sucks again that’ll be my last shag.
