As much as I enjoyed the first couple of slides from the pie I ordered today, the third had a METALPIN in it. Melted right into the cheese! Never going there again.

I really like their pepperoni pizza(ordering it often over the past couple years on football sundays). My deliveries have always arrived within a reasonable timeframe.

It’s a good slice o’ cheese. I was satiated and satisfied. I came here LATE night… We had already biked a ton, already ate dinner and dessert… but we were STILL hungry. So, we tried Mario’s since it happened to be open at whatever time it was we were biking down DeKalb Ave. No complaints. I didn’t expect jaw dropping perfection and I hoped for pretty good. It was a stop above pretty good — which was PERFECT for the time/place/situation we were in.

This place is pretty decent. They have a lot of options, the food is cheap and it’s also very good. I recommend their pepperoni roll, calzone, and mozzarella sticks and garlic knots are always good. The order did take a bit to arrive but everything was great.

If you’re looking for good pizza in Fort Greene, then stop by Mario’s. Their slices are thin & offer a crispy yet soft crust, the sauce is semi-sweet, & the best part of it is the cheese, which is perfectly melted. The calzones are massive & freaking delicious. They are stuffed with ricotta & mozzarella. Add some pepperoni to it & it will change your life. And the best part is that it’s only $ 5. The Chicken Parmigiana Hero is also good & it’s a big portion that can be shared between two people. It has a good amount of sauce & the right amount of stringy cheese. After reading awful reviews about their delivery, I did not let that stop me from trying the service. I have called Mario’s for a pie delivery a few times & I was not disappointed. They were quick to deliver & the pizza was hot as if it just came straight out of the oven. Mario’s Pizza is now my go to spot when I need to satisfy my craving for a good slice in the neighborhood.

It’s not the best pizza you’ll have but itll do. 2.50 for a standard cheese slice as well as for that fatty deep dish. You can ball out and get Sicilian style pizza on an unemployed college dropouts budget. If you’re not satisfied just take it home and throw some Sriracha on it papi!

We’ve ordered pizzas delivered from Mario’s and had good experiences in the past(though they once delivered the equivalent Pepsi products of the Coke products we’d ordered, which is not at all cool). But this last order contained the single worst plate of wings I’ve had in my entire life(and that’s saying a lot). Not much meat, what little meat they had was dry, chewy, and/or burnt, and the sauce was nothing like a decent Buffalo wing sauce(and yes, I’ve been to several wing joints in Buffalo), more like BBQ sauce with a hint of Tabasco. The wings were literally unpleasant to eat. At least they sent enough blue cheese dressing(but no celery)! Delivery took 75 minutes on a Seamless estimate of 35 – 50 minutes. The lasagna, cheesy garlic bread, and pepperoni pizza slice were all decent(though not remarkable), hence three stars.

The food is great don’t get me wrong but the delivery guy sucks ! The first time I ordered the pizza was warm and the delivery guy was waiting at my gate, the 2nd time I ordered it was raining and the delivery guy act like he didn’t want to get out the car I was waiting for him to get out the car in the rain for 2 minutes then the third time I ordered the delivery guy called said he was outside and still took 2 minutes to get out the car ! All 3 times pizza was warm not hot but good, 3 strikes your out I’m done ordering from this place

My boyfriend is born and raised in Brooklyn and he can be so picky about his pizza. He likes a classic New York pizza, regular slice. We order from Mario’s a couple times a month and they do the job. The pies are tasty and at a great reasonable price. We always get large half pepperoni, half regular, well done. MARIO’S is definitely our go to for when we need a quick dinner and they deliver pretty fast. Boyfriends note: «Yeah, it’s a decent slice, not bad, but not great either. This ain’t New Park, I’ll put it like that.» ANYWAYS, I’m hungry.

I’d like to review the pizza but I never got it. After several phone calls and asking to cancel delivery and be given a refund I was told«call the company» and hung up on. Their claim was I didn’t supply an address. After several tries to give an address and being ignored I got pissy. I’d like to say perhaps I made a mistake, but it was though the Unilocal app which requires an address. It appeared to me they didn’t want to make and deliver a pizza 20 minutes from closing time.

To each his own. I say Mario’s is great and others like luigi’s better. Well I liked playing luigi more than Mario on Super Mario brothers and all I gotta say is sometimes you want to play Mario too! The cheese here is a lot thicker than the cheese at luigis. Also the owner himself told me he makes the sauce from scratch. He doesn’t put any fillers, sugar, or flour to thicken the sauce. He understands that a healthy pie is a happy pie. I like that. Luigis has less cheese and bakes their pies a bit longer. There’s a difference but it all depends on what you are in the mood for. Also their baked pasta is to die for. Seriously it’s the best hidden gem in the neighborhood. Get it with the cheese on top too, you’ll go to bed happy.

The food is actually pretty decent, but I’ve not had one good delivery experience. The food is either incredibly late(and cold) or the delivery person insists on me coming down to street level(since elevators are terribly difficult). This is literally the only restaurant in Clinton Hill that I’ve had issues like this with. It’s sad, that the delivery issues have gotten so bad that I’ll never order from them again… cause the food is pretty good.

I’m afraid that pizza was absolutely awful! I regret wasting the $ 10 coupon I got from GrubHub last night. And because I only spent $ 4 I didn’t bother to walk over there in the snow and hand it back to them! All the slices were soggy, tasteless, and simply gross. Cheese like plastic sliding right off the pizza watery sauce… I couldn’t believe it! Threw the whole lot into the garbage. What. A. Waste,

Fast & free delivery, $ 13 for A real Italian medium pizza with two toppings you can’t beat that. Being half Italian I’m partial to anyone that can make a good egg plant pizza the pizza was fresh the sauce was extremely flavorful the crust was soft and squishy because I happened to not like thin hard pizza. I just don’t recommend the garlic knots maybe it was because we ordered it closer to closing time they weren’t fresh but they really have no flavor. Overall good Italian pizza and I would order from this place again

I wish I had read others’ reviews before ordering. The pizza was horrible. Canned mushrooms, awful cheese and too much of it, garlic from a jar that looked thrown on to the pie and basil that was cooked *with* the pie. I’m going to try to choke down the rest of this pizza just so that I don’t feel like I wasted my money but at the end of the day… I did.

Mario’s on Dekalb may not be the trendiest slice in Fort Greene, but it definitely is the greasiest, messiest(especially when you order with double cheese) and tastiest slice in the neighborhood. The sauce is layered on light to moderately, but I don’t like clumps of sauce on my pizza so this works for me. The dough has always been very thing and folds perfectly to where you experience the taste of the cheese and toppings more than the dough layer. Prices are very fair and they always have specials. I haven’t tried their sicilian pie, but I hear its great. I highly recommend Mario’s to anyone in Fort Greene who wants a simple pie done cheesy.

Not my favorite, but not a bad slice of pizza either. This is one of the pizza shops that is close to the Alibi bar and an inexpensive option when one needs to get some food in their stomach. The pizza is usually nice, hot, and gooey, the way I prefer it, but there could be a bit more cheese and spices on the pizza and the crust could be a bit softer. The service is nice though, and while there is really no space to stay to have your slice(it is railroad thin and shelf along wall with seats are crammed with large garbage can, ATM machine, and deliver bike) you can squeeze in if you like. A nice go to option when you do not want to eat at all of the expensive restaurants on Dekalb Avenue. The only other down point is that it is not open late at night when you really need to get your after-drinking eating done!
