Great for a quick, casual, and inexpensive Cantonese meal. Wontons, duck, curry, and braised meats(beef brisket, tendon, tripe) seems to be the backbone of this restaurant. First and foremost, I loved how simple their menu was and how every item is depicted in photos. Such a smart way to increase their sales and it makes a diners life much easier. In no specific order, we had: SALT&PEPPERWINGS($ 6) — Delicious appetizer. Crispy yet tender wings with finely chopped peppers to add that extra kick. Yum. MASTERBRINEDUCK($ 10) — This reminded me of Teochew-style braised duck similar to Bo Ky’s infamous country style duck but on a sweeter scale. The sauce is so flavorful and comforting along with a hot bowl of white rice. The chili-vinegar dipping sauce provided was also good. A must get especially if you love duck! CHILIOILWONTONS($ 6) — The wonton wrappers were thin and delicate without being too doughy. Each wonton filling had the perfect portion of the bouncy & juicy pork along with their crisp shrimp. The«hot» chili oil lathered atop added body and really enhanced the flavor of the wontons. In fact, for some that can’t take spice… it was not spicy at all! I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best wontons I’ve ever had, but it’s the closest thing in Brooklyn. We all know the best wontons are always homemade. JAJAABURAMEIN($ 7) — Essentially, ja-ja mein(meat-sauce noodle) thrown into a simple yet tasty broth. Be sure to request the broth on the side so that you’re able to adjust the level of savoriness to your liking. The meat-sauce is layered over a bed of noodles and veggies(cabbage & scallion). The noodles were stringy and slurpable with a buoyant texture. Their rendition of the meat-sauce is sweeter and lighter in color than your ordinary ja-ja mein. Perhaps it’s the bean paste they use. If meaty and rich is of your essence, then go for it. The service was excellent. Our waiter(fluent in Chinese, English, & Spanish) was extremely attentive and friendly. I’ll be back for you soon Duck Wong!

Wontons in chili oil, you’d think its spicy but it’s not spicy… JUSTRIDICULOUSLYDELICIOUS. Takoyaki is also great, dumplings are handmade. Reminds me of my mums food, walnut shrimp is ok. If you’re used to dining Chinese traditional style, don’t get the shrimp. Pork chops be on point. I come here every so often and order too much food and end up leaving with the buttons of my pants undone. Love this spot, only setback is that they’re cash only, I just want them to take my money.

Didn’t think I was going to like this place since they specialize in a specific subset of Cantonese cuisine that I am not too fond of but Duck Wong ended up being alright. It’s a pretty small restaurant and the décor is very plain but the tables and plates were all very clean. The service was superb! They greeted us the moment we walked in and were very quick in taking our orders and getting us our food. When we asked for the check, they took the initiative to ask us how the food was and when we left, they even said bye. That in itself is commendable! They also serve this lemon infused tea which I found very soothing to drink, especially since I’ve been having an upset stomach the past few days. Wontons in spicy chili oil– I think this is one of the items that they are known for and I thought it was delicious! The wonton skin was not too thick and the filling had a huge piece of shrimp in it that I actually didn’t mind eating since I normally don’t eat shrimp lol. The sauce was great! It wasn’t too spicy and it also had a nice sweetness to it as well, which I enjoyed. Definitely the best spicy chili oil wontons I’ve ever had! What is White Bear… Curry braised beef noodles– Ehh not the best I’ve had. They try to make it look like a fancy Japanese ramen dish but it sort of backfires because skimpy ingredients and copycat ramen= unhappy me lol. I think they should try to stick with the traditional Cantonese method of making it. The braised beef wasn’t bad though but the other ingredients were kind of mediocre. Salt and pepper chicken wings– Very crispy and delicious! Overall, I thought the food here was alright, nothing mind blowing. But that’s probably because I’m not a huge fan of these types of food. If you like this kind of Cantonese food, definitely give this place a try since the prices are reasonable($ 25 for 2 people). I commend them on having excellent servers though!

Delicious! So glad they added more items to the menu since they opened. I think I found my favorite spot on 86st. Cheap and yummy options. Chili wontons is ofcourse a must get! We also had the walnut mayo shrimp which was a smaller portion that what Chinese restaurant would normally sell which is perfect for two people as an appetizer. For mains we had the mabo tofu which you can skip. Not spicy or traditional. I had the mince meat noodle soup which was what I was craving for. I can’t wait to go back to try more items!

Everything is good here! It’s so different from your typical noodle congee joint. They make everything with a little touch of goodness or something special. All the dishes are not average they are above average. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

3.5 stars. This may be the closest thing you can get to a decent wonton. I came here to grab an early dinner during the weekend. It may have been early, but they were already putting different dinner parties together at tables to save tables for anticipated customers. The interior is simple and the seating could be a bit tight, but you don’t come here for the ambiance. We ordered the takoyaki, fried wontons, wontons in soup, bitter melon salad and wine chicken. I don’t know why we ordered the takoyaki here, just ok. The fried wontons were lacking in filling, more like wonton chips; you can probably pass on it. The wontons in soup were pretty good, as they use fresh ingredients for the filling. I personally thought the bitter melon salad was probably the best dish, but that’s only if you like bitter melon. The wine chicken was pretty disappointing, the chicken was lacking in any wine flavor. It tasted more like they just poured wine over the chicken… Anyway, I wouldn’t mind coming back to try their wontons in chili oil or beef stew noodles!

Yes! Their wontons are cheap and flavor is good! The service was nice and friendly! But do you know how much pure«fat» you have consumed for 6 wontons? Only ate 4 wontons and I already got enough fat for them to make another wonton! If you decided to come, maybe you would either just ignore them or do the same as me to have a fat finding adventure!

I have visited this place many times and this has to be one of the best dumplings I’ve had thus far. The staff is super friendly and the dishes are very affordable. They specialize in simple /classic dishes and their home made hot oil sauce are amazing ! Try and you shall see !

Why are you so far?! If they’re located in Manhattan, this will certainly become my weekly staple. They know how to make wonton and they make them really well. The skin is silky smooth and doesn’t break apart easily. If you come here, wonton is a must. Other dishes like the tendon stew(must get also, super good, I can eat the sauce all day) and deep fried tofu are also really good and gives variety for shared items. Now, price is a little pricier than typical Chinese noodle joints but I think their quality food and nice service make it worth a visit. Bring a sweater, Ac is full blown.

Good inexpensive Chinese food! I ordered the Master Wonton(Shrimp & Pork) Noodle Soup and the wontons were HUGEE! It had shrimp & pork as fillings. I ate the wontons and I was already full. You can definitely taste the shrimp and it is fresh. This bowl of noodle is definitely worth its price. My boyfriend ordered the braised beef combo. It came with a bowl of soup, two dumplings, and a bowl of rice. I finished the soup before the other things came, so I couldn’t take a picture of it… whoops. The soup was really good, hence I finished it beforehand! LOL. It was very flavorful and had a lot of ingredients inside. The beef was so tender and delicious. I don’t usually eat beef and I had no complaints. We also ordered the salt and pepper tofu. That was an interesting dish. I have never tried something like this and it was pretty good. The skin was very crispy like chips and the inside was soft. It also came with seaweed that tasted pretty good with my noodle soup. I tried eating the seaweed without putting it inside my soup, but it was too salty for me. Apparently, they only serve one type of soup noodles here: the thin yellow, wonton noodles. But I heard their jia jia mein was good, so I want to come back and try that. Overall, I had a good experience. The food was cheap and good, so what’s not to like right?! Ahem, their service was alright. The restaurant closes at 10pm. Considering we just got all our dishes at 9:15pm… I was not a fond of the waiters coming over telling me they’re closing soon. So like. did you want me to shove the food down my throat and get out of here so you can leave. or was I suppose to enjoy the food that I ordered? Although, I took my time anyways. I did not appreciate that.

This is not the first time here and I seldom write review on Unilocal. But tonight I was so moved because I ordered a congee for take out 10mins before they close the store. And while I was waiting, I was informed that the congee was sold out. Then I told them I have a toothache, and that’s why I need a congee. Then the chef showed me an OK pose and said he will try his best to make a congee for me. I was so touched and the congee really taste very good! Strongly recommend this restaurant! The best food, best service and best chef are here!

Duck Wong Wonton Restaurant is amazing! The wonton noodle soup is only 5 bucks and it is delicious. Can easily be more expensive but glad that it is not. The kyoto ribs were a good substitute for your typical chinese restaurant ribs. The glaze has a great tang and the pork loin is done right. You get a generous portion which makes this a dish that can be shared by 2. The wonton in chili oil is a famous dish of theirs and now I know why. The taste is amazing and it does not burn your mouth in an uncomfortable way. 5 nice sized wontons come in this dish. Also had the braised beef brisket. Love it! Especially the gelatinous fatty bits in the dish. The broth it is in is delicious and meat is nice and tender. Also tried the tso’s chicken which is the best tso’s chicken I have ever tried. Cripsy white meat chicken with a nice glaze to it which does not kill you with heat. Accompanied by a nice helping of pure white creamy slaw which is cool to cut through the heat of the chicken if your mouth is sensitive. I highly recommend Duck Wong restaurant especially for 4 – 6 people who are looking to share a bunch of dishes. The staff here are super nice and friendly. Will be back soon.

QUACKQUACK! There’s another restaurant on 86th street and it’s about to draw customers in wonton at a time. It’s about as casual a restaurant as it can get — throw some tables and chairs that match with the wall, a good bowl of wonton noodle soup, some tea and you get Duck Wong. The huge wontons here are amazing and at five bucks for a wonton noodle soup, that’s an absolute steal… and get this… they also slide in a sheet of seaweed… Sold. If you like spicy wontons, you can have them drowned in chili oil as an appetizer. Other notable dishes include the beef tripe in chili oil, and braised beef brisket(w/or w/o curry) served with noodles. I wouldn’t recommend the other classic dishes and would you suggest you get them from your other favorite chinese restaurant instead. And just to accommodate people who don’t like surprises, they also provide an accurate HD photo for every single item on the menu. Service is good and quick — no complaints. All in all, great wonton done right.

This place is a little bit more expensive than other wonton noodle places, but the pictures on the menu and the service made up for it. We came here when the place had been opened for about two weeks or so. The food was pretty good, but nothing extravagant. However, they did give us a free plate of fried dumplings to try, which was really nice of them. The green tea was actually one of my favorite part of the meal. It was very strong and aromatic, and I would gladly come if they sold green tea in a to go cup

I’m sad to see that the previous sushi restaurant couldn’t survive past sake, but this restaurant certainly can! With cheap wonton that’s generously filled and quick service, I can see why this spot does so well. I came here with my mom and dad for lunch and waited 10 minutes to be seated. Our food probably came out in 5 minutes and was piping hot. The restaurant gives you a sense that you’re dining in an extremely clean establishment, which is what most Chinese restaurants are lacking. You will have to pay tips when you dine in here, but I’m sure the wonton will not disappoint in its size and fresh stuffing!

Quick service, relatively cheap(cash only though), and everything was pretty good. Also liked that they had a picture menu so you knew exactly what each dish would look like. Only downside was the a/c wasn’t strong enough, especially since I was having noodles in hot soup. Sweated so much! :( We had: — chili oil wontons(yummy, and not too spicy — I can’t handle spicy food at all and I was able to eat it) — fried rice with jaja meat sauce(delish) — Chinese dumpling noodle soup(good, like any regular wonton noodle soup, except with dumplings, extra scallions, and a piece of seaweed) — Kyoto ribs(crispy, but the meat to bone ratio could’ve been better. These were basically«ging do gwut»

New canton restaurant on the block. Serves mostly noodles, fried rice, wonton & dumplings. A lot of the dishes contain duck, brisket, tendon, and tripe. Ordered choy sum, hot & sour soup, bitter gourd salad, wonton in chili oil and fried rice with 3 different meat cuts. Their hot & sour soup was on point and differ from the ones you get at the fast food restaurant. Thumbs up for the wonton in chili oil and bitter gourd salad. I like the way they lightly braised the brisket, tendon and tripe because the flavor wasn’t too salty but was still tasty. Chinese food usually makes me feel tired from being greasy but surprisingly, I don’t feel sluggish after eating their food. This gives me a reason to come back and try the other stuff on their menu and not feel like i’m eating unhealthy. Pros: –Complimentary self serve genmai green tea in a bamboo handle teapot. –Interior was pretty clean which is a plus; seating was spaced enough to not feel too cramped. –Food and service was quick. –Dishes were seasoned well and not as greasy as I imagine Chinese food to be. –Just the right portion; decent enough to finish and not have left overs. Tips for improvement: –The male waiters could have been more friendly and enthusiastic. –Drink section on the menu could be more noticeable. –The red awning does not match the interior design and gives off a cheap quality restaurant vibe.

Woohoo! A new Cantonese eatery in Bensonhurst. WONTON, NOODLES, DUMPLINGS! GET: 1) The wontons in chili oil were my favorite — each wonton was STUFFED and SO tasty! 2) Noodles with tendons and addition of braised beef — SOSOSOOOOODELICIOUS. Their wonton noodles were pretty darn tasty! DON’T GET: 3) The chive and meat dumplings could’ve been better — they only fried it on one side and the other side was soggy, but it was still good. 4) I did not like the curry chicken with fried rice — the curry sauce was good, but the chicken was breaded and fried… not the tender juicy chicken meat I was expecting. Definitely coming back for their dumplings and more wontons!!!
