I love love love this place. It is small, it is BROWN and it is delicious. In a world of Brooklyn gone mad and an over abundance of «coffee shops and hip bars» it is nice to be in a place that reminds you of all the culture and flavor the Brooklyn offers. To be absolutely frank my appeal to this place was a combinations of all the brown faces seated and the live jazz playing in the background. The place is small but the atmosphere is comforting and the service is good. Because it is a smaller establishment the wait time for food is LONG but I will say there was no issues once we received our food. Keep doing your thing Brooklyn Moon !

Favorite place to eat at in Fort Green. Their jerk wings can be overly spicy though. The Mac is good… The waitress was nice enough to tell us when Happy hour was closing if we wanted to get more drinks in at an affordable price.

A friend and I went to this spot on the strength that I couldn’t be bothered with the shenanigans taking place at a nearby restaurant. The food here was pretty darn good, very darn filling, and yea the food was great. The drinks were priced well, and though tasty not too strong. The service was kind of slow and there was a mix-up with our appetizer order which was quickly resolved. The servers were friendly and well-mannered despite this. The bathroom was a nice size and had all the necessary toiletries but that thang was not clean enough, at all. The band that was playing was really good but I don’t think they fit the vibe of the afterwork food and drinks scene. I’d come back but on a less crowded day.

Visited on a Saturday, lovely spot. Not much seating so there was a wait.(About 40 mins) Food was fresh. There’s a great brunch menu. Food did take a while to come out about 1 hour 15 mins. 1.00 mimosas got me! With a extensive list of flavors! Parking is good however parking is 1 hour max 25cents per 15min. Great neighborhood. Spot is recommended. Just be prepared to wait on your food!

Found one thing negative. It’s highly rude to rush paying customers out of their table because another party is waiting. We were at the table 1hr 30 mins, finished eating and we’re talking while finishing our drinks. The staff comes up and says another party has been waiting long, can you finish your drinks. Excuse me? Isn’t happy hour to hang, have drinks and socialize after a long day. I wasn’t going to tip but he wasn’t my waiter and that wasn’t fair to her. I was going to be petty and place another order of fries(their real good).lol

$ 4 Margaritas and Martinis. How can you beat that? Met up with my cousin to finally try this spot out. Ordered a few drinks, calamari(clearly I have a thing for fried squid tentacles) and their Mac and cheese which looked so good in the photos. Everything was great. The drinks were nice and strong. The best part? After 6 drinks, and 2 appetizers, our bill was only $ 39!!! #Winning

Soul food as well as Caribbean. The jerk chicken is insane. Or try anything fried with mac and collard greens. I could drink the hot sauce by itself. And they have music and comedy on some nights too. Check this original Brooklyn spot for the real deal!

@eat24 @yelpnyc #foodporn I LOVE this place! It’s has a small setting for those romantic nights and it also have a great atmosphere. If you desire to listen to soothing mellow tunes during your stay and eat tasty food; I would say do not hesitate to visit this establishment. Did I forget to mention the $ 1 mimosa’s? Yup, it cost only $ 1 and it taste refreshing. So what are my favorite dishes when I visit this Resturant? I have to say the Mac & Cheese and chicken & waffles. I know there are probably many other selections to choose from the menu, but I wanted to try something recommended by my waiter. I am truly happy with his selection. Scanning around I have noticed there’s a mini stage for performances. I had to confirm if this is true. The manager have explained and confirmed it’s accurate. So I decided to re-visit and experience something different. I can say I had a wonderful time. My recommendation is to reach out to them and see what on their plate regarding special events. I would give the 5 stars by far. My ratings can change if experience a change in customer service.

I went to Brooklyn Moon for their weekend brunch, and everybody knows brunch should equal unlimited mimosas! Here they have $ 1 mimosas in many different flavors, that definitely get the job done just as well as any of the bottomless options out there for an even better price. To eat I had the Chicken & Waffles. The portion size was great and the chicken was well seasoned. The only downfall is their menu is limited, but I’m sure you can find something on there for the sake of those $ 1 mimosas. I will definitely be back here and look forward to trying other dishes on the menu.

As far as weekend brunch goes, Brooklyn Moon is an underrated, quirky, and casual spot. Although it was pretty empty, decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the level of service as well as the bottomless mimosas at $ 1 a glass with a brunch entrée purchase. The flavors were Mango, Guava(my favorite), Pineapple, Grapefruit, and Cranberry… very sweet and worth the slight mimosa headache. The French Toast was decent, and was served with fresh fruit and berries. If you’re really looking to indulge, they serve mac & cheese at all hours, which was reasonably good. Overall, it was a comfortable place and alternative to typically trendy and crowded brunches.

I really enjoyed the few starters we got here but I agree with the 3.5 star rating because service was a bit off. My party of 4 showed up close to 10 on a rainy Thursday evening and with plenty of tables to spare, the hostess/whoever greeted us was nervous about giving us a table because we only planned on getting drinks. She ultimately gave us the table but told us we’d have to move if it got busy. Seeing as how it was raining and they were closing up at 10:30, I don’t think there was any need for that. Once we sat down, our appetites got the better of us so we ordered food as well — jerk chicken wings and spicy fries to be exact. The wings, 7 per order, were cooked perfectly and well spiced, and the meat was melt-of-the-bone tender. The fries, which were more spiced than spicy, were addicting thanks to whatever spices they were coated in and their accompanying Caribbean ketchup. It was also a pretty sizable plate of fries. In terms of drinks, I ordered the Red Rum. It was tasty but small. The denser mango nectar sits on the bottom of the cup and doesn’t mix well so I kinda sipped the rum/red wine and mango in a silly up and down motion. I also had a sip of someone else’s grapefruit beer. That was delish.

Easily identified amongst the hustle and bustle of Brooklyn. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the warmest smiles and the plant life surrounding the outside gave me a feel of authenticity in the palette adventure that was about to take place. There are about 6 different champagne and juice combinations offered at $ 1.00 a piece… even better than bottomless prices at most places, you would agree I am sure. I had the BBQ Chicken wings(naked) with Mac and Cheese/Greens…someone’s grandmother from down south is back there cooking — SHEHASTOBE, the food was phenomenal without a need for any other seasoning. I would definitely go back for the eclectic décor, great table service and prices!

Everything she recommended was amazing and she sure know how to up sell cause there are soo many worthwhile things on the menu. And if u say something’s good we’re ordering it. We ordered: Jerk wings mmm spicy Mussels Fried whiting –great batter Spicy fries Collard greens –sooo good Spicy shrimp– great texture but not spicy Mixed veggies Drinks we had that green drink and let me say I could taste the alcohol so two thumbs up for that.

Will probably never return. I made my order and was charged almost $ 20 extra and was told it was because the online menu is totally wrong. I could understand that I didn’t bring this to her attention until after she swiped my card but I assumed she would try to rectify the situation in some way. But no, I ordered two drinks after that and she promptly reminded me about that bill as well. Even with this mistake behind me I still wouldn’t return. The roasted veggies are seriously disgusting and oily, and the crab cakes are sub par at best. Idk whose in the kitchen but I don’t think they’re Caribbean or southern judging by the taste of the food. However, I have 3 stars cuz the drinks were good and the people seemed nice.
