The Corner

Came in to get some good, waited twenty minutes before being asked what the name on the order was. He went in the back came back out said the salmon takes a while. Right after, I saw the cook put the salmon on the grill. More focus on closing early/​on time than on customer service. Food is good, awful service

Definitely my favorite food spot on the hill — everything I’ve tried here is amazing and fresh. I love their salmon, fish tacos, Caprese sandwich, latin and paleo bowls, and sweet potato fries. It’s also cool that they serve happy hour drinks too!

Pretty trendy and modern restaurant situated very close to campus on the hell. Very affordably prices salads and sandwiches. Highly recommend the chicken pesto with the house sweet potato fries! They sell Boylan sodas (the cream soda is awesome) and various beers. An awesome place to stop in for a snack or a casual meal.

Great food, Poor service.
Upon ordering a breakfast burrito on a saturday morning I had to wait 20 minutes while the staff served everyone on line behind me before I got my order. Once I realized this was happening, I mentioned it to the cashier who was a guy that said he was new so I really didn’t mind. Then, after putting the order in again they continued to serve food to people behind me. The worst part was that they didnt mess up my buddys burrito and made us both wait. After I got the «manager’s» number I called after being told I would be able to get a refund if I provide my receipt. After calling to no answer, I left a voicemail and have still yet to get a response. Really poor management and service at this place. I will not be coming back and will not recommend to anyone looking for a quality dining experience. This place sucks. The worst part is the horrible management which probably don’t even care about the customers that it is their job to serve. Pick your $hit up.

I’ve been going to The Corner pretty much since they’ve opened.
Needless to say I may stop going altogether as service has started to be questionable at best… sometimes good, but more often than not bad.
Let me just say the quality of the food, when it is right, is pretty darned good for the price.
I usually call to order breakfast before I go to my office. A couple weeks ago I was on hold for 18 minutes and no one ever answered. I called back twice and no one answered. I can only assume they were SO busy to forget and then never answer the phone. Prior to that, I had to tell someone how to make a hot chai (no, it’s not always iced) as they wanted to give me a tea bag because the other chai was «always iced.» But I didn’t mind that so much.
Lately my orders have been wrong. The veggie breakfast bagel is supposed to have avocado and tomato, not avocado or tomato. For instance, today is very dry with some avocado. Lately, it’s usually one or the other. I’d like to get what I pay for and that just has not been happening. How disappointing to watch The Corner go «down hill.»

Oh my goodness! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!!! The only sad thing is that we are there just before driving to the airport to come home. The Corner is my new favorite restaurant in Boulder for when we come to visit our college boy…
Our meals were amazing! I had the Paleo Bowl… Fresh greens, quinoa, avocado, steak and chicken breast, grilled onions and peppers with a chimichurri dressing. Every ingredient was fresh and flavorful and well put together. The chicken and steak was perfect… My son had the salmon sandwich with salad and my husband had a nice big bowl of steak soup with fresh bread… YUMMM!
Everyone was very helpful and informative with a great attitude! Since I have never eaten there I had questions about the things on their menu and did not feel like I was putting them out. Their descriptions were very helpful and made me want to order one of everything! We will be back to try the other wonderful dishes on their menu.
Thank you for an awesome meal and we look forward to coming back when we are in Boulder. My husband is really looking forward to trying their breakfast burrito.

The options on the hill for healthy food were limited and I was determined to eat healthy.
So we stumbled across The Corner.
It was busy so we figured that had to be a good sign.
Checked out the menu and there were salads and healthy looking bowls that you can customize a variety of ways — choose your protein — white or brown rice or quinoa — sauces– paleo or vegetarian.
So we gave it a go without checking the Unilocal reviews — which I admit we rarely do when trying out new places or when out of town (both of which apply).
After I ordered — while waiting for our food, I looked on Unilocal and was fairly disheartened at some of the reviews…
I thought, well you get what you deserve, you know better than to go somewhere without checking in w my fellow Unilocalster foodies.

So I started reading the reviews and was sad to see 1 and 2 star ratings w comments such as great food but too expensive, or took too long.
This time Unilocalsters you were wrong.
Come on folks, you say you want healthy, it takes time to cook fresh — although ours was out in 10 min or less.
Don’t ruin a good healthy option because you are disgruntled about the cost.
Shame.

So The Corner has a great atmosphere, It seems to have both that late night urban coffee shop vibe and a sunny day breakfast or brunch appeal. However, I was not very impressed with the quality of their breakfast sandwich. It looked like it was slopped together quickly. The combination of avocado, egg, cheese on a sesame seed bagel sounded delicious on the menu but for some reason it had just a plain, kind of boring flavor to it. Besides the so-​so sandwich the customer service was great, I really felt appreciated by their friendly staff. Also, the outdoor seating on the corner is a great place to kick it with friends and soak up some morning rays.
I would try it again for lunch, they had some options that looked appetizing. However, if the quality of those meals are the same as the breakfast sandwich I had, It wouldn’t be worth the $ 10 plus price tag.

Landon was super personable and friendly! Even with the line out the door he remained calm and collected. I also think the breakfast burrito is life changing.

The bowls we ordered were the equivalent of a microwaveable veggie bowl you could find in the frozen section of the super market. The veggies had definitely been frozen before and the rice was essentially old mush. The prices for the garbage you get are way too high and so are the wait times to receive your food. The restroom was DISGUSTINGLY DISGUSTING and the drink dispenser area was an absolute mess and not well stocked. This place obviously gets swarmed by college students so there’s not really an incentive to keep the place or food top notch. oh well.

Had lunch here while on a visit to Boulder. The Roasted Beet & Goat Cheese Salad was fabulous! Everything is fresh, staff was great, and prices affordable. Highly recommend The Corner and look forward to my next visit!

Great, fresh food. I found it very affordable for the quality of food. You must try the bowl with shrimp. Excellent customer service. A new fav!

Mmm Mmm! Delicious breakfast burritos, particularly on those lovely mornings when you wake up hungover. I would give them a full five stars on their burritos alone, but I’ve only ever eaten burritos there — so I can’t give the whole place a true review. But hey, if you are looking for bomb breakfast burritos, go here!

I asked for no tomato and they gave me extra tomato. Their Mayo also tastes like a wet dog.

Awful. Made me wait 40 minutes for a bagel that wasn’t even what I ordered. The worst part was they didn’t give two shits. This place sucks.

A must go location pre-​concerts. Love their coffee and hot chocolates.

I could give zero stars if it was possible. The worst breakfast place in Boulder. The cashier was so incapable of understanding the orders, the pumpkin bread was moldy and disgusting, vegetarian burrito was dry and very unflavored. As if all these are not enough, the coffee was ice cold and sweetened which I did not asked for.

Great food. Terrible service and management. I have had my order messed up countless times, and have had ridiculous wait times.
Management change is eminent if this place wants to survive.

It’s a real shame because I like their food but I’m sitting here, wasting away waiting for my food … 30 minutes and counting… No acknowledgement from the staff… One guy running the whole kitchen
Update: Food arrived… 40 minutes later… forget that I said I like their food. Burger and chipotle steak sandwich were both lukewarm and medicore and the sweet potato fries were limp, rubbery and lifeless.
I want my damn money back… no, wait, I want that hour of my life back.
I emphasize it really is a shame because I loved them when they first opened, but clearly the thrill is gone.
