Came for the buffet. They had a good selection. They had the things I like too. I’d def return!

The service was excellent from the moment we walked in, however there was a little confusion about how many of us were actually ordering the lunch buffet but that was cleared up easily. There was lots of food to eat at the buffet and it was all you can eat which was nice. I couldn’t help but go back for seconds. The had a great selection of food and I felt full and taste buds satisfied when i left. I would recommend their lunch buffet and I’ll definitely be going back.

I went here years ago for lunch and it was so so. Went back two years ago and it was much better. Now I go for lunch at least once a week, sometimes twice. The lunch buffet is tasty!!! Friendly people!!!

WORST Indian food I have ever eaten. My wife got a chicken tikka masala, lamb biriyani and 2 samosas. The Chicken tikka masala was creamy as hell no taste at all felt like I was eating plain boiled chicken with yogurt, the biriyani was so Dry with no vegetables and again no taste, the Samosas were soggy and very blan no spice nothing. Indian food is so much more flavorful. I have tried many Indian Restaurants in Boulder and by far this is the Worst I have had.

When we arrived, there were less than a dozen people in the restaurant(the time was 12:40). $ 8.99 for the buffet lunch not including tax or tip. Supposedly the the Royal Peacock closed did it just reopen as the Royal Clay oven? It’s identical inside… is the peacock on the door a reminder? The lunch buffet includes raw vegetables, Salad, and dressings. Hot rice, Naan bread, vegetable samosas, Chicken curry, birwani, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, donuts and fruit. We have missed a few other dishes. Mild Indian food. The flavors were hit and miss. We had to wait for naan bread and samosas. It seems the other patrons had been waiting for a while. When it came out it was very quickly gone and the wait was on again. Considering we were there for the traditional lunch hour, waiting for Buffet food is never a good sign. In the chicken curry and chicken tikka masala you had to search for the chicken in the sauce. Service was very attentive, but The server needed to wait until we were finished before removing our plates. We couldn’t agree between a two and a three and a 2.5 is not available.

Very good quality food and well prepared. A bit mild for my taste but is good for those who can’t handle spicy food…

I love this hidden gem. Just off 28th and arapahoe this Indian place makes amazing food including vegan dishes. The vegetable karahi is amazing. Highly recommend the lunch buffets as well.

As far as Indian goes, this out-of-the way spot is a hidden gem. We were disappointed to be one of two tables an empty restaurant(just feels awkward, ya know?) but that was quickly forgotten when we were served an out-of-this world Dahl soup and onions battered and fried in chickpea flour. For the entrees, we had lamb saag and lamb kabob Tandoori style from the clay pot. The lamb was tender, lean, & perfectly prepared, a great mix of flavor all around. The staff was attentive and polite, but the food here is the reason to come back. Highly recommended!

I came here per recommendation for the lunch buffet and it was wonderful. Everything was flavorful and not too spicy(can add heat yourself). I especially loved the fresh samosas that had a light, thin crisp(not overcooked). Also, the spinach was amazing and great vegetable korma. The staples of Indian cuisine were available at a good price and very kind service.

We had delivery from here. The food was bland and was delivered at room temperature. The delivery man did not take long to arrive, so I assume the food was precooked and sitting in a not very warm warming tray until we ordered it. The samosas had a nice crispy crust, but this is the only thing that stood out. Their filling was bland and generally not memorable. The lamb kebabs were also bland and did not have that gamey lamb taste. Instead, they tasted of nothing in particular. The vegetable pakora is described as mildly spiced and they do not fail to deliver. They are a level of mild that can only be described as bland. Many Indian restaurants fail to properly spice their food, but most err on the side of too much heat. This place seems to have lost all its spice jars.

I came towards the end of the lunch buffet so it looked a little dismal. The food was okay but didn’t amaze me. Not too spicy which was good. The naan bread was good but I was really hoping that they would have other varieties of naan such as cheese naan available at the buffet. The buffet itself was much smaller than I had anticipated. I also never saw anything with lamb. There was ONLY chicken and vegetable items which was really disappointing to me. The only samosa there was filled with potatoes and peas, which isn’t bad but it was clear that they were cutting costs by not having more variety. They had only two desserts, the soaked donuts and the rice pudding and that was it. They also had the saddest looking salad bar I have ever seen. I would still come back but come at a time when the buffet was more frequented so the naan bread wouldn’t run out and maybe there would also be more items. The people who worked there were nice enough.

Sure, it’s in a small strip mall, as many other reviews have noted, but I’m not going to hold that against them. The inside of the restaurant is clean, colorful, and attractive. I’m not Indian, but I grew up with great Indian food and fantastic family cooks, so I’d like to think I’m a decent judge. The food is great, and the consistency and flavor of the dishes are always fantastic. It’s also reasonably priced. I’ve done dinner takeouts more than I’d like to admit(though never their lunch buffet), and I’ve never had a problem in the literally dozens of times I’ve ordered from them. Their saag, tikka masala, and korma are what I order most, and I haven’t been disappointed the few times I’ve ventured to other parts of their menu. The staff is pleasant and attentive, they’ve always had my food promptly prepared, the prices are reasonable, and the food is comforting and wonderful.

I really think this is consistently the best Indian food in Boulder county. Samosas and pakora are crispy and light for fried food. The entrees are always plentiful and highly tasty. The servers are very warm and welcoming. Indoor and outdoor eating options are great. Easy parking front and back. No hassle east boulder location is also a plus. I have never tried the lunch buffet but imagine it is great considering how good the a la carte menu is. Enjoy!

We found this place unintentionally but we’re glad that we did. I tend to judge an Indian restaurant on the taste of their saag, and this saag is very, very good. It’s the perfect creamy consistency, with good flavor from the spinach and mustard greens. It tastes fresh. The chicken tikka masala is great too. The waitstaff was prompt and attentive, and the manager checked to make sure everything was perfect. A+.

The lunch buffet here is where it’s at. It’s not exactly presented well, but everything from the curried lamb to the cauliflower will satisfy anyone who enjoys Indian cuisine. At only 8 dollars, it’s the best deal in east Boulder for lunch. Combine it with the Unilocal deal for even more savings.

This meal truly knocked my socks off. It was by far, the best Indian food I have ever had in my entire life. The location was a little weird, but the service was excellent. It was so good I might even ride the bus up from Denver so that should tell you just how delicious it was!
