Lillies – Boulder

Lillies is now my go-​to for organic, fair-​trade and socially responsible products.
I think the selection for certain aspects of the wardrobe is represented well. However, I was hoping to find more simple and basic products. Though I do believe this has to do with the limit of suppliers who provide non-​slavery products.
The interior of this boutique makes you feel at home. The floor plan may be a little cramped but you can find plenty of merchandise by other individuals ready to make a change in this world.
I am super excited that Lillies is present and I hope that more individuals stop into this feel-​good general store to find products sourced with integrity.

Overly rigid return policy. I bought my niece a size 6 dress for her 6^th birthday. She tried it on, it was too small, so I put it right back in the box. Unfortunately, the receipt inadvertently got thrown away with the wrapping paper. I brought the dress (with the tag) back to Lillies asking if I could exchange it for the next size up. The dresses were hanging right by the register, and the next size up was right there. But because I didn’t have the receipt, and didn’t know the exact day I purchased it so they could look it up in their system, they wouldn’t let me exchange it. I understand that they have a policy, and I didn’t have my receipt, so my bad. But they were more concerned with their record-​keeping than customer retention. I purchase a lot of gifts for people, but I won’t be purchasing them at Lillies.

I had recently heard about the opening of this little shop near the hardware store that I visit so regularly. It has taken over the vacant space of a former long time import décor store. But this is a very different selection of good, mostly handcrafted, well sourced items, from clothing and jewelry to home décor and gift things.
I found some garden décor items that I purchased, different than most I have seen in other places, small scale enough for my tiny yard and clearly hand made of recycled metal objects. There were several other things I plan to come back for, that will be of interest to some children I know for their birthdays coming up this summer. And something else I think my husband will appreciate for father’s day!
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The store is just packed with so many things, it is worth the time to thoroughly browse it.

I stumbled upon Lillies during a recent grocery shopping adventure. To myself I thought «I don’t recall this store sign», «what was in here before?». Looking down from the sign I found myself drawn in by the goods displayed on the sidewalk (lawn décor — both decorative and functional).
The store is just massive, so many things to look at and discover (I’ve been in a couple times now and keep finding new things).
Near the front door I found a ready to go mini house which turned out to be a chicken coop. My favorite find has to be the «Bee’s Wrap» which is an alternative to plastic wrap. The product is hand washable and re-​usable. I’m definitely going to be picking some of this stuff up for gifts (Mom if you just read this please erase it from your mind as you are the one I plan to gift this to).
I think this store can just about cover any gifting needs one may have. They have clothing, decorations, jewelry and funky candles (funky as in fun). My favorite candles were made by a company called MANdle and have scents like «Mr. Mom», «Hipster’ (I deeply regret not smelling this one), and «Treehugger».
I’ll most definitely be referring friends to this store and visiting/​exploring it again soon.
I gave this store 4 out of 5 stores as I have been in a couple of times and have yet to have any interactions or receive greetings from the employees.
