Great respite from a long day studio hopping in SoWa. Pick up a something from Asia in the shop… good coffee and tea. relaxed atmosphere… this is what makes Harrison ave arts district so inviting.

Not bad, liked it a lot more maybe a year or so ago, since then they’ve changed their salads for the worse and raised all prices for food. So… when does increasing prices while decreasing quality work out? Rarely. Head to Whole Foods or Foodies instead if you’re in the hood for lunch. Full disclosure I can’t speak for the coffee and stuff, maybe that’s a better situation. Staff is often nice, I’ll give them that.

The food is good, however most of the time the coffee is Luke warm. It seems like they don’t rotate coffee with fresh batches throughout the day. Nothing worse than coffee that’s been sitting there for a few hours. Service is pretty good, but nothing to write songs about. Overall, solid café, just wish the coffee were fresher and not served luke warm.

Adjacent to their furniture showroom, this café was hard to spot at first. In addition I didn’t even know the name for awhile until reading the small print outside. A decent lunch spot, plenty seating. Typical South End prices for food which is definitely rising.

This is a large coffee shop decorated in a rustic fashion. I ordered a few coffees, tea, and apple cider for some friends. It’s pretty good! My coffee was decent although beware or the cream dispenser which they put in a hot water dispenser type container. I basically loaded a ton of cream into my coffee. It was still good but my cream tolerance is high. Seemed like a great place to get work done on a weekday.

I absolutely love this atmosphere here. I love how it’s very inviting and people of all ages can sit and lounge, read newspapers and sip on some Nice cool lattes on a Sunday afternoon.

Is this a café with a store in it? Or a store with a café? I could not figure it out. The food smelled delicious, but we had already eaten so we got coffee and tea. I didn’t love the chai here, but it was ok. I also got a chocolate-dipped biscotti which tasted fine, but was very crunchy, even after soaking it in my chai for a bit. Not sure what that was about. I like the atmosphere here: large tables with varying types of seating, featuring copies of the day’s newspapers to read. The store itself carries interesting furniture to peruse on your trip to the bathroom or while you sip your beverage. The line can get very long and there’s not sense of urgency, which lends itself to the tranquil atmosphere, but can get irritating. In addition, it was so quiet when we arrived, and then suddenly someone turned on an ipod with soul music. Awesome, but confusing. I think they may have been short-staffed for a period of time. As we were leaving, we noticed the crowd had grown, with lots of large groups who had shuffled chairs around and blocked the exit a bit. I think they could rearrange the seating so this doesn’t happen.

They have the best iced mocha in town. I am not a fan of any iced coffee except theirs. Their sandwiches are great too. Also love the vibe and the furnitures. If you are taking the T, stop at redline broadway station. It’s only 10 mins walk. They take credit card.

I love visiting this café anytime I go to my company’s Boston office. They have a wide selection of loose leaf tea. My favourite is the rooibos. And it’s only $ 2.50 a cup, regardless of the size. I also appreciate that they have many vegan snack options. The café is inside a shop that sells décor imported from Asia, and it’s fun to check out the showroom. The staff are friendly.

Surprisingly good breakfast as my expectations weren’t very high. Things: 1) Took FOREVER to get the bacon egg and cheese 2) Coffee was realllly good to me because I like weaker coffee 3) The two people behind the counter had super tension… made it a little awkward 4) Cool stuff to look at while you wait 5) Decently priced This place is A-OK.

Such a nice little surprise coffee shop to have on the block. My only problem is there is no wifi :-(which was explained to me that someone was hacking into things using their wifi name so it is totally understandable. But I do love the vibe in there and of course the COFFFEEEEE! Yummy iced mocha yes please

I love Mohr and McPherson for many reasons– very convenient location, great sandwiches, good ice coffee. Also has a lot of seats so there is always a spot open(unless it’s during SOWA market on sundays in the summer). The turkey avocado sandwich is awesome– highly recommend! I also appreciate the mix of normal corner-store candy and local high-end sweets. A few of the not-so-good things: Medium ice coffee for $ 3 is a bit pricey in my opinion. They occasionally run out of very key items– a few weeks ago they didn’t have any bread left to make sandwiches! I was disappointed. Overall, great place to stop by and grab a coffee or sandwich… and try the turkey avocado, you won’t regret it! :)

Coffee is so bad. Period. You’re basically going to get coffee flavored water in a grimy, unsanitary setting. Nothing about this place is appealing. I was desperate for coffee so came here but will never be back.

I love this café. It’s a neat little place tucked away in the middle of the SOWA district, and it totally feels the way you’d expect a store/café to feel when it’s surrounded by art studios and boutique shops. Beyond the vintage/global décor and cool people behind the counter, they provide a good service to their customer base(free wifi too!). Quality food(veggie & gluten-free options available), conveniently located for a morning coffee pit-stop, and reasonably priced. It’s always busy with regulars(it doesn’t exactly jump out at you from the sidewalk), and that says something about the business they do there. Most people like it, and they keep going back. Whether you’re there for breakfast, coffee, snacks or lunch, you probably end up going back, too.

This café looks cute from the outside but the food and drinks were awful and overpriced for what it was. I got a hot chocolate that tasted like straight milk and a sandwich that took way too long to come out. The chicken souvlaki and the reuben tasted fine but they were tiny and unimpressive for eight dollars. They should have come with a salad or something substantial on the side for what you’re paying, but what we got was the smallest shriveled pickle you’ve ever seen. Very disappointing.

Great sandwiches, laid back vibe. Essentially perfect. Friendly, Bohemian staff to go along with their Bohemian & eclectic furniture store upstairs and in the back. Great place to meet for breakfast or lunch, read the paper or your tablet news, or get some work done using their wifi. I love the place so much I almost hate to give it this good a review, but it deserves the business!

I found out about this place while attending a soccer game at Roch field. Why a furniture store has a café, I couldn’t tell you, but it’s actually a pretty good idea. I was told this was«The Best Coffee In Boston» by another parent there but I’m not sure I’m convinced. The coffee was good. What I especially loved was their odd collection of random items that I remembered from when I was a kid, like French fruity hard candies in a tin. A nice little place to escape for a bit. I didn’t look at the items for sale but they seemed cool to my cursory glance.

Great sandwiches(Iggy’s bread FTW!) to refuel with after wandering through SOWA. I got the Roast Beef and it was enough for 2 meals. My friends got the Tuna Melt and the Portobello and loved them. No complaints here!

Great spicy chai to warm up a winter afternoon. Very relaxing café with lots of gorgeous furniture and textiles to peruse if you’re in the mood. The worldly home goods are too rich for my blood, but the chai really hits the spot!
