BESTSERVICEEVER!!! Came here with a group of girls for my birthday and they told the men at the bar to get up so we could sit there — I KNOWSONICE… But we sat at a table had the best drinks and when my friend wasn’t a huge fan of her wine they replaced it for free! Gave me a happy birthday Nutella pizza it was delicious! Love this place will defiantly be coming back ASAP!

I ate here last night with a friend. We were seated promptly in between two tables, and were pretty cramped until we were moved to another section. We asked about the menu options and received very helpful comments about several dishes, as well as recommendations from our server. While we waited for our food, we were served bread and olive oil/balsamic vinegar, which is great because we were STARVING. Our food came out after a reasonable wait, and my chicken was absolutely delicious. It was tender and flavorful. I would argue that it was a bit overpriced, but many of these restaurants tend to be overpriced. We opted to not get wine or dessert with our meal, and promptly received our bill. I don’t know if I’ll be back, but I did have a good experience.

I’m Italian and this is by far the best pizza not only in Boston, but in Italy too!!! Donatella is the best server there and every time I go in I always ensure that she is there… she is always very happy, positive and she always treats me like I’m the most important person ever!

Best pizza I’ve had in Boston! Was in Italy in September and the pizza at MAST tasted almost just like the pizza in Italy. I didn’t try the pasta but my dining mates loved their food. Also great for groups, we had 20 and the staff and owner was so nice. Great wine list, good prices, will be back again soon! The eggplant pizza was my favorite

Been here quite a few times since it opened(I live in the building) and I really want to like this place. Pizza is good, as is most of the food. Service is just so unprofessional — tonight was the worst. I sat at the bar for five minutes with no bartender in sight. Finally asked a waiter if there was a bartender working and Ronnie finally appears. The bartender basically texts and leans against the bar. I finish my wine and wait for him to ask me if I’d like a refill. I wait and wait. He just keeps leaning against the wall directly in front of me and I’m forced to lose my personal battle and ask him for another wine. But the nail in the coffin — he starts pouring shots for him and two waiters. I wouldn’t expect this here. I know it’s hard to find good staff, but find someone who doesn’t lean with his arms crossed and look beyond bored while texting. After my entrée was delivered, the entire staff disappear for seven minutes. I literally looked at my phone for the time. I think they all went downstairs to the lower bar. Maybe a cigarette break? Bartender still MIA. Would have been nice to get a refill on the water or someone asks how the entrée came out. If anyone from the restaurant reads this, feel free to check the video around 7pm. No one is there and anyone could have just walked behind the bar. I thought about leaning over to refill my water. I hope they figure it out. It’s a nice space with a very impressive pizza oven. Staff doing shots at the bar shouldn’t happen. With new restaurants like Yvonne’s, Mast’ needs to be better than ever. As I’m about to ask for the check, Ronnie makes himself a cappuccino with two sugars.

We are were happy to find a treasure hidden on a side street by our downtown hotel that was actually open late into the evening. The place was busy, so we sat at the counter to watch the pizzas being made. What a grand show. The blue berry cocktail I ordered was delicious as was the Caesar salad complete with anchovies and vegetable pizza some sort. It had eggplant in it which was superb. Service was fine as as expected in a busy Saturday night. My husband and I loved this place and plan to go there one more time. It is our favorite Boston dinner place so far.

Came here with people from work, and was pleasantly surprised. I have no frequented many places like this, so it was a new experience. My drink was VERY strong, I was not prepared for it to have such a bite, not intolerable, but WOW. Our server was very slow in getting our drink orders throughout the night though, and more then once we had to ask another employee if they had seen her or could help us with our drinks. It was shocking that drinks, from ordering to receiving was taking about 20 minutes. We ordered a plethora of appetizers and pizzas to share, the food was amazing and I loved the rustic feel and taste of the pizza. The Marinara pizza was so good, and a great option for me since I am unable to have the mozzarella used. It is a good place, not AMAZING, but worth trying out.

Outstanding dining experience. Our bartender Ronnie made my friend & I unbelievable drinks that tasted like heaven! We ordered the entrée Gnocchi– and it was absolutely delicious! I give Mast five stars in every aspect. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody. The atmosphere. Service & food/drink were beyond my expectations! Love it!

I ordered the branzino with shrimp and clams and it was pretty good, also a fairly large portion. But the service was very slow and our waiter seemed distracted. The layout and décor of the restaurant is not great, which is surprising because the restaurant seems new and trendy from the outside. The whole experience was very mediocre. I might go back because I did enjoy my fish but I wouldn’t bring a group or go for any kind of occasion. I might actually do takeout so I don’t have to sit there. Not related to the food, but… I made my reservation through OpenTable, which has a points reward system. The hostess needs to verify you show up for your reservation to claim the points. The hostess couldn’t verify I honored my res(even though I gave her my name when I arrived) so Mast asked I show my receipt to OpenTable because they couldn’t verify I was there. It’s all a lot of work to claim some points for an unsatisfactory dining experience.

Went here for a friends bday party. We sat at the outside patio which I have mixed feelings about. It’s nice to sit outside when the weather’s nice but the view is either tall buildings or a back road where you can see ambulances riding through. The service was really great and the food was just okay. We told the waiter we were sharing and was interested in what was the best salad. We ordered the caprese salad which was good but sortof wished that he told us it wasn’t shareable between 8 girls. The wild mushroom pizza was good, I would recommend that. We order two plates of pasta and it was not the best. Tasted undercooked. The highlight was Nutella pizza which was a great substitute for a birthday cake. Very delicious. So not the best place but if your another the area and want some pizza go for it.

I went with my husband and one year old at around 10:00 pm for dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Not only did they make us feel welcome, they made us feel taken care of. From helping us stow the stroller to adoring our daughter, from the host to the manager, these people were fantastic at customer service. This was a trendy place that did not make a family with a child feel distasteful, and try to seat us by the kitchen, as has happened to us a few times now. The food was excellent. I had A’ Zupp e Cozze Fort’ — mussels sauteed in olive oil, garlic and finished with fresh pressed chili oil; a side of sauteed broccoli rabe(a bit too bitter); and Pappardelle con Ragu’ di Cinghiale — braised wild boar and fresh pasta(done *perfectly*). The atmosphere was dark and pleasant. Acoustics were good. Pretty rustic, with a ton of little alcoves and nooks for intimate dining for two or a large party. The only drawback was that there isn’t a diaper changing station. But the elevator(much nicer for a baby in a stroller than stairs) more than makes up for it! Wonderful!

Was here for a quick drink with a few girlfriends yesterday. They had ordered a pizza(don’t remember which one, but it was delicious and had a hint of truffle oil on it) And for drinks, I had a few Nutella Martinis which was amazing! Will def. come back here again for dinner one night!

All around pretty impressed with MAST’. I wanted to make a reservation for a huge group of 35, which, surprise, is not the easiest thing to do around town if you don’t want to go the private dining route, but MAST’ really came through and said they had enough room for everyone. We were given the entire downstairs lounge/bar area that was perfect for the occasion, with plenty of seating but also lots of space to walk around in for social events. The staff could have easily been overwhelmed with such a large group on short notice, but they were very professional, friendly, and approachable throughout. And even better, the food was great! A couple of us shared the Saporita and O’Mast pizzas — thin crust, generously cheesy, both delicious. I LOVED the Saporita… even my sister, who is a notoriously picky eater, devoured her share. The others around me really enjoyed their dishes as well, from the Mast burger to the lamb. The price is a tad steep, but everything considered, definitely had a good experience here.

Stopped in here for a beer and a quick bite. The pizza was fantastic! Can’t remember the name but it had arugula and prosciutto. If your unsure, get that. You won’t be disappointed.

MAST’ has the Boston ‘P’ trifecta: Pizza, Patio, Past midnight(kitchen’s open late). Their pizza is seriously out of this world. Perfectly chewy/crunchy crust, tomato sauce that tastes fresh out the garden, and delicious, high quality cheese to round it out as some of the best pizza I’ve tried in Boston. It’s a tad pricier than your average pie, but worth it given the high quality ingredients and superb flavor. And with the oven burning past midnight, you can get your late night fix without having to settle for the subpar pizza of the local competitors(sorry, Felcaro’s). MAST’ is the real deal. The staff will be happy to tell you the story behind the authentic Neapolitan wood burning oven brought over from Naples… along with a pizza chef to fire it up! It burns super hot so it only takes about 90 seconds to cook a pizza to perfection. And perfection it is! A bit off the beaten path, make sure you find yourself on Province Street real soon. I know I will so I can try the highly lauded Nutella pizza!

I spent hours researching restaurants near the Omni Parker hotel, looking for trendy, but not too expensive, and with an expansive menu. Mast’ fit the description perfectly. An easy Opentable reservation for 7:45 on a Saturday and we were seated on the comfortable outdoor deck without a problem. Both the atmosphere indoors and outdoors were classy and casual. The cocktail menu is very reasonable for Boston at $ 10-$ 12 a drink and the spicy negroni and gin cocktail were strong and tasty. The menu literally has something for everyone and we decided on a 4 cheese pizza, a fried zucchini appetizer and an arugula salad. Thick, chewy, delicious bread and olive oil quickly arrived along with the fresh salad. And then things went downhill… Quite frankly we had the worst server that I can remember ever having, anywhere. Let’s call her The Italian, because she had a thick accent and may not have fully understood English. She completed the usual checklist of poor service, such as leaving us unattended for 20 minute stretches at a time, forgetting to bring silverware and not even introducing herself. But 45 minutes after we ordered food she came and asked us to remind her what the order was again. I never ask to see a manager, but this pushed me over the edge. The general manager Nicholas Garoufalis was the nicest, most understanding and honest GM I’ve ever met. I wish he would open a restaurant in Portland. He explained the story of how he used to own nightclubs in Boston and his dream was to open this restaurant. It took almost a year of wading through city hall and construction to get Mast’ open last fall. Hiring servers is much harder than it seems. Even with hundreds of applications and dozens of interviews, some hires don’t come as advertised. Nicholas comped our entire dinner(must have been $ 75) and brought us another free round of drinks. To say this goes above and beyond is a massive understatement. I was just hungry for our pizza. The pizza and zucchini then came and both were delicious. I was expecting a personal size pizza but this was easily enough to share. Mast’ is the ideal compromise of upscale food and atmosphere with reasonable prices. It’s in a great location near Boston Common and has plentiful outdoor seating. One bad server didn’t ruin our experience at all, and knowing the restaurant has such a great GM leaves me eagerly awaiting my next trip to Boston for more.

I had no idea what to expect at MAST’ after checking the reviews in advance of dinner. I was prepared to be disappointed; I wasn’t. MAST’ is a great place to kick up your«pizza and drinks» or «Italian food and drinks» meal a notch. It’s one part pretense(we’ll apply that to the cocktails and beer list — both satisfying), one part good service, one part location location location, and one part food. A pizza, 2 drinks, and an appetizer, plus tax and tip came to a bit over $ 50, but I felt I got my money’s worth in terms of an enjoyable meal and evening. I also happen to love broccoli rabe, which is featured prominently here both as a pizza topping and a side dish. They feature innovative twists on cocktails and a beer selection that includes a nice variety of international and US, but I was happy to settle for Ipswich local Clown Shoes Galactic IPA. MAST’ is a nice add to the variety of pizza/Italian in Boston. There’s plenty of good places I can go for good pizza and a pitcher of beer, and plenty of places — such as North End — for traditional Italian. MAST’ is just different and trendy enough to be a destination when I want something a little more unique.

Pretty good pizza. The dough is nice on the crust. It’s a little thin and soggy in the middle of the pizza. I’m only giving 3 stars because it’s pricey. $ 17 for a four cheese personal pizza. And it didn’t wow me.

First time I came here was for drinks after having dinner at a local pub nearby. The hostess was incredibly helpful in checking whether the bar could accommodate us while there was a private Christmas party that was on its way to ending. One of the floor managers came down to greet us and took us to seats at the end of the bar apologizing that we had to sit at the very end as they still had residual guests from an earlier party. It was kind of him to do so although we were fine with the seats we were given. Tip to remember this that only pizza can be ordered after 10pm as a friend who later joined us wanted to order the frites(as it was the only vegan dish they had she could nimble on as she herself came from another party) and we were informed of this tidbit. I came back to this place for dinner a couple of days later. A friend and I ordered the wild mushroom pizza and calamari. The pizza was orgasmic delicious! I bit into the crust first to try it out and it had the right amount of crisp and chewiness that makes the perfect fire stone pizza. The only problem we had was that it wasn’t sliced which required us to use not so sharp butter knives to try to make an incision. After a bit of struggle it didn’t matter that it took a few more seconds before we were able to enjoy the pizza. The calamari was cooked to perfection; it had good crunch to it and it was not overly chewy.
