Love this Gant shop.
Gant is an interesting brand, begun as a New English (New Haven, CT) college-​sports-​inspired shirt line, then expanded to more broadly cover collegiate-​inspired casual clothing, then sold to their Swedish partner, now in the hands of Swiss investment company Maus Frères.
The brand seems better known in Europe than the States these days (probably explains the frequent sales this Boston location runs).
For me personally the Rugger line is an all-​time favourite, modern designs cut slim that you can wear weekend or business casual. I often run into Gant in airports like London Heathrow and Frankfurt, those shops pale in comparison to the inventory and deals available right here in the Back Bay on Newbury Street. I recommend signing up for their mailing list to stay current with their calendar.

Pretty awesome styles. You can really see Americana here. Got this cool pink and black shirt. Probably the only black I saw in this store.
I don’t remember seeing women’s clothing. Which is fine, because I wear men’s clothing.
Staff — on some occasions are helpful and friendly. Yesterday two guys were just talking to each other and were just standing in the way. Like excuse me a-​holes I need help finding my size. Why are you talking about your friends getting drunk. No one cares.

I’m a big fan of the brand and the store has got some great stuff. The staff there is extremely helpful, too.
For me it’s definitely worth 5 stars!
