Did not come here for the AYCE /brunch, which seems to be the popular event. No sugar or chocolate in sight when I visited. Had the clam chowder and lobster role for lunch. Clam chowder was delicious! Very light and not thick at all. One of the yummiest clam chowders I’ve had. The lobster roll was good too, just a little difficult to eat, but would definitely not peg as best lobster I’ve ever had.

Café Fleuri, has an awesome chocolate bar course. It contains all sorts of desserts always set to a theme of some sort. We have been here twice, one year theme was Past, Present and Future. This year the theme was Art. Delicious small. plates to cater to many palates. Quite the experience in a lovely set location, live mood music, entertaining and pleasing to sit and enjoy the scenery, music, and sweet treats.

Came here for a business lunch. Service was excellent. Had one of the best Fish n Chips ever. Huge, moist perfectly fries pieces of fish served over a bed of amazing Mushy Peas. The fries/chips were alright but everything else was excellent.

So, I mean, brunch was fine… it was good. It’s in a hotel and I didn’t quite realized when I was quick searching for a brunch place. Hotels will never or I guess rarely do it was well as an independent place. The options were nice, I had a lot of components to my dish, berries, greek yougurt, quiche — so I liked that. The prices were pretty high, though. And the staff had no change for cash. It was kind of annoying and only hurt their tip, anyway. A-ok about says it.

This is an outstanding brunch! Although if I had one criticism I would say they should include one mimosa or Bloody Mary. Otherwise this place is spectacular. I can’t think of anything more I would want on the buffet. The clam chowder and raw bar were highlights. The omelette station and the crêpe station was also well done! This is a place worth doing on a special occasion. There is a little jazz band which adds a nice touch.

I brought my friend here as a surprise for her birthday. It’s like Willy Wonka meets fancy land in real life. There is so. Much. Chocolate. Everywhere. It’s beautiful. Chocolate mousse, chocolate sculptures, chocolate fountain, chocolate martinis. Plan on being here a few hours, because you’re going to want to eat in shifts to get your $ 40 worth. But it’s so so worth it. You should try everything. If you even can. You’re going to feel like you need to be rolled out, so I would suggest not eating anything all day before you go because you’re going to want to wait. I also suggest drinking plenty of water and you’re going to want some regular food after. Some of the best desserts I’ve ever had were here though.

Afternoon tea at The Langham is great! I took my mom for her birthday and it was very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. We were seated at a comfortable little nook with couches and were given a large selection of teas to choose from. Then they brought out mini sandwiches(egg salad, chicken salad, smoked salmon and cucumber) followed by ginger scones with lemon curd & strawberry jam and lastly desserts(pineapple cake, salted caramel mousse, flourless chocolate torte and lemon meringue cupcake). The courses were spaced out nicely so we had time to digest and the service was great. Plus everything was delicious! A fun girls outing.

We had brunch here and food was incredible. Besides a minor awkward moment of turf wars, where two waiters seemed to be sparring over our table — once the food arrived — everything else around us was erased. Banana pancakes arrived perfectly fluffy and piping hot. The chicken apple sausage had a slightly salty but subtly sweet flavor and the home fries were to die for. Soft, with a little crisp on the outside cooked with green onions for a great taste — not too bland or overly spicy. I also had the granola and fresh fruit which was crunchy with ripe, sweet berries. As we were leaving we noticed the chocolate all you can eat bar being set up for 11AM. We heard they sold out over 400 seats and they do it every Saturday. It looked amazing. We will have to be back to try that! Definitely recommend for the brunch — had a wonderful meal here.

Excellent meal, price is fair, very pretty standing with a beautiful sunroof. I would highly recommend the pear salad with nuts and go cheese. Also the fried calamari was outstanding. And for some reason the ice tea was amazing I think because it had a lot of lemon flavor. The prices are fair from Midtown Boston and if you need a place to go to lunch or dinner this is the place to go.

Lived in Boston my whole life and had no idea Café Fleuri existed! This classy brunch buffet is a hidden gym located on the second floor of the Langham hotel. It’s definitely on the pricier side but worth every penny in my opinion. I came with a group of 9 and ended up paying ~$ 85/person. The buffet has a large variety of items(breakfast, lunch, desserts, fruits raw bar). My favorites were the raw oysters, crêpe station, prime rib, sushi, and cinnamon beignets. I’m not a fan of chocolate but my friends all enjoyed the flowing fondue chocolate fountain where you could dip fruits and marshmallows. Café Fleuri is awesome! Definitely can’t afford to come here on a regular basis but an afternoon here is perfect for special occasions!

I can’t think of anything I didn’t love at Café Fleuri’s chocolate bar. I took my daughter and 2 of her friends to celebrate her 10th birthday and they were not disappointed. Our server was attentive, wonderful and brought out a dish with«happy 10th birthday» written in chocolate. Besides chocolate there were many desserts to try that highlighted other flavors. The crêpe station and cotton candy were huge hits. Valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced and my car was waiting in front of the hotel when we were finished. I would love to try a brunch here.

If anyone reads my Unilocal profile, then no words need to be said about how I ended up at Café Fleuri(tl;dr — chocolate dessert buffet). As someone who’s definitely gone days during which the only meal(s) she ate was dessert, this place is basically my childhood dream come true. In terms of presentation, they’ve got it down to a T! Every single option is prepared to be absolutely aesthetically appealing, and they have a great variety of different cakes and pastries. Most of them are just the right size such that you can opt to have an entire one yourself without feeling too gluttonous, but also appropriate for sharing with a buddy(or two) if you just want a sample. Some of my favorites include the Fried Apple Spring Roll(if you like apple pie, this is to die for!), White Chocolate Cheesecake Mousse Baked Streusel, Milk and Cookies(throwback to childhood happiness!), chocolate crêpe(or just the crêpe station in general), mango mousse, and an espresso-based mousse/custard that’s served in an adorable little cup. For the crêpe station(aforementioned), as well as their ice cream station, you can choose between either a vanilla or chocolate base. I’m not sure how to describe the subtle differences in using a chocolate base for the crêpe, but it was delicious! And don’t let anyone tell you that a cookie is «just a cookie» — these are freshly baked and have the perfect balance of warmth and gooeyness. You can even get chocolate soup, which sounds like glorified hot chocolate, but it’s way better! I didn’t partake in the chocolate fountain, but it’s pretty tall and you can dip fruits, marshmallows, or pretzels in it. My only reason for not giving the full 5 stars is that I wasn’t 100% impressed by all of their desserts. Some of them had interesting concepts(i.e passionfruit-based custard tart or ginger-flavored cake), but were somewhat underwhelming or straight-up strange. Also, the price is a bit steep($ 42 for adults), and I feel like most people wouldn’t want to eat the cost-equivalent in dessert. You can opt to order something savory on the side, but it’ll cost extra. The good news is that the buffet does include chips, popcorn, and nuts to help cut through the sweetness(especially the chips — they made me feel so much better after my 5-or-so plates of dessert). I’m super glad that I came here, but I definitely hit my limit in dessert today(which is something I’ve never ever said before in my life). Job well done, Café Fleuri.

Anyone who gives this place less than five stars must be: 1. Hater of chocolate or sugar. In which case WHY come??? 2. Got dragged here by a chocolate/sugar loving friend. Sorry to hear, but how could you not be impressed? 3. Stingy and finds price tag too high. I disagree with the decadent chocolate fountain, crêpe stations, and tens of tables each with hundreds of dessert! Well worth every penny(and calorie). 4. Health junkie/on a diet of sort and thus regret going after having downed more than a year worth of sugar. You probably secretly love this place and are planning on a return trip. Also, their house made chips are the only savory thing there. Almost competing with the dessert for #1 when your taste buds need a break.

We went to Café Fleuri for Sunday brunch. It was very elegant in atmosphere. The cuisine was exquisite. There was a very nice trio playing soft music for our enjoyment. Personal favorites: baked lobster macaroni and cheese and milk chocolate crème brûlée.

It’s a hotel restaurant and I expected to be very disappointed– was not! Ate here twice during my week in Boston, once for lunch and once for New Year’s Brunch. Exceptional both times, especially the service. For lunch I had an absolutely enormous burger(I didn’t realize it was TWO8 oz. patties) and they actually managed to cook it rare. Really good beef, a mixture of several cuts which I think they said that included shortrib. Couldn’t come close to finishing it along with the chowder and the onion rings and everything else, so they packed it up for me and I picked at it in the room over the course of the afternoon. Still good hours later. Brunch(New Year’s Day so it may have been more special than usual) was much nicer than I’d expected as well. Really elaborate presentations and so many options that I came nowhere close to seeing everything on offer. It really was that vast of a selection. You’d turn one way and there’s a little plate of smoked duck you missed; turn another and there’s an entire chocolate fountain you overlooked the first time through. Plentiful oysters, sushi, lobster mac, on and on– I never even got around to eating an egg. I could have stayed all day and not tried everything. Worth the $ 90(I think that’s how much it was.) A+ for the service as well. We had the same server both times and he was such a nice guy, full of helpful information about the hotel and Boston in general. Exactly the sort of person who makes a restaurant stand out and by far the best customer service we had while eating in Boston(which included Menton and L’Espalier).

My husband put in reservations for one of my Christmas presents(knowing what a huge chocolate fan that I am). He had actually brought me here six or seven years ago for my birthday, but I had my first ever migraine and felt too miserable to try much. Thankfully we were both in top form this time around and were able to taste test a LOT of dishes. As far as selection and creativity goes, Café Fleuri definitely deserves five stars. The location is quite pretty and the displays are all gorgeous… with this year’s theme being the Art of Chocolate with all kinds of colorful and abstract chocolate sculptures being displayed in the center of each dessert cluster. The desserts themselves are kind of hit or miss… Some are excellent and some are just okay. For the most part, I found the items that were cake heavy were a little dry… the cake not being the best I’ve ever had. However, I really did think a few of their desserts were excellent… mostly the items that were heavily mousse based. A few of the stellar options that we tried I’ll list below: Salted caramel mousse dome that sat on top of a pink macaron shell — this was amazing. The flavor of the mousse was mildly sweet with just a little kick of salt. The texture was amazingly soft and silky and there was a little piece of crunchy toffee popcorn on top and a crisp macaron bottom — this was one of our favorites. Espresso mousse topped with meringue and cocoa nibs — this was my absolute favorite. I think it’s the only item that I had two of… the mousse was perfectly textured with a nice mild espresso flavor… even people who hate coffee would still love this treat. The meringue was also perfectly airy and crisp — all around the perfect dessert. My husband was a big fan of their chocolate fountain and dipping items(house made chips, pretzels, strawberries, beignets, etc.). He also liked their fruity desserts… a fruit tart, browned butter and pear tart, etc. Their dark chocolate crème brûlée was also amazing! I’d highly recommend checking it out for a special occasion… birthday, baby shower, bridal shower, etc.

Sunday bunch at holiday time was to be our five star event, but instead was closer to 2 – 3. Food was good, kind of safe, a little bland. Table Service could be described as indifferent. At $ 82/person and only one glass of sparkling wine, the value was sorely lacking. I would consider other options. With the cost factored in: Service– 2 stars, food– 3 stars.

We hosted our daughter’s 11th birthday party at the Chocolate Bar recently. Eleven very enthused tween girls and two slightly overloaded parents. From booking to the bill, the experience was very smooth. One of our guests has a nut allergy. Sunny, the manager, brought over a chef to give her a tour of the buffet so that she knew what was safe to eat. The food was delicious; the space was lovely; and the girls felt decadent and feted. The staff was attentive. They brought out birthday pastries for my daughter with a candle and inscription in chocolate. A lovely touch. I highly recommend Café Fleuri for your occasion.

We came here for the Chocolate Bar on Saturday for K.‘s birthday and it was amazing. There was jazz playing the entire time(live) and the server was so attentive. She even explained what the bar had to offer before we started so we had an idea of what we wanted. There was a crêpe, ice cream, and cookie bar. There were so many little desserts that it was overwhelming but it was worth it. Some were not even chocolate, which is a nice balance since the fruity desserts were tart. Our favorite was the crêpe station since you had a choice of what fruits(cinnamon bananas, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries), nuts and chocolate you wanted with a chocolate/vanilla batter. There is also an option with alcohol and they had toppings too. The server recommended going to the ice cream station for a scoop of ice cream with the crêpe and there were no regrets. The vanilla ice cream was so creamy and had an extremely strong vanilla taste(probably made at the restaurant). There were endless options and it ended with each of us grabbing one of each dessert and sharing the ones that were quite large(the parfaits/mousse). There are also cupcakes, truffles, cotton candy, and chocolate fountain. Also since we said it was a birthday, the server came over with some of the desserts on a plate written with«Happy Birthday» in chocolate with a candle. It was sweet and she let us keep one of the cute pens. Of course, there are some desserts that fell short but with the many options, it is impossible to find a favorite.

We came for here Sunday Brunch and had a great time! I loved: The selection. There is so much to choose from here! We tried lobster mac & cheese, crab/corn cakes, fried mac & cheese balls, and cheese blintzes. The brunch featured several chef attended stations including an omelet station, crêpe station, fresh made sushi station and carving station where they were carving a roast. There was a very large cold bar offering fresh seafood including shrimp, crab, and oysters. Also available were many traditional breakfast items including waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, and ham. Finally, there were several tables of assorted desserts including a large chocolate fountain with all the fixings for dipping(marshmallows, pretzels, fruit). The food is served buffet style. Waiters come by often to serve soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water. My coffee was delicious and our server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is very lovely with high ceilings. The large skylights allow natural sunlight to light the dining room so you almost get the feel of being outside. The cost for Sunday Brunch is $ 65 per adult not including alcoholic beverages which are available for purchase at an additional expense. This is a wonderful place to spend a Sunday morning/early afternoon. Highly recommend!

I CANNOT wait to come back to the chocolate bar and thats something i say about a few places ONLY. It really blew my mind how beautifully decorated everything was. It truly looks like a work of art. When i walked into the room i had to take a second and look around to absorb the beauty of it all. And ofcourse, everything was to die over. The desserts i tried where creamy, not too sugary, so smooth that it would melt in your mouth, they were pure perfection. Im so upset that i felt guilty every time i took a bite of anything becuase of my diet but this was an experience i had to try and i must tell you that ITIS an experience that everyone should, at least once. It was also priceless seeing how the little kids faces light up when they entered the room. and ofcourse the staff was incredibly nice. Before I was heading out, Sunny the restaurant manager stopped by to say Hi and check how everything was, we got to chat for a litle bit… very nice touch of his part. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

No no no. :( Went to the famous chocolate bar last year because my family was staying at the Langham for my sister’s wedding, and after I had had my fair share of chocolate goods(most of which were average at best), I discovered a dead fly on top of one of a chocolate crème brûlée. I brought this to the attention of the servers and management and they were polite and voided my bill, but it was still a bit upsetting and off-putting to see them take the one brûlée away while fellow diners obliviously went about loading their plates.

It’s true: brunch at Café Fleuri is a decadent experience. From the live music, to the fancy dining room décor, to the wealth of food offerings at its open buffet, Fleuri puts together quite a show. Unfortunately, cut through all this tasteful decoration and there’s not much left at the core. The quality of the food falls shy of justifying its hefty price tag. The atmosphere is opulent, with high ceilings, an expansive room, big windows, gold & silver lining, and a live jazz band. This décor, which somehow avoids being pretentious or tacky, gives way to the cornerstone of the Fleuri brunch: the all-you-can-eat buffet. The selection is immense, including three made-to-order stations manned by accommodating chefs(omelet, pasta, and crêpe). The buffet also boasts seafood(clams, shrimp, sushi), a meat & cheese bar(prime cut roast beef, prosciutto), fresh salads, pancakes/waffles, cinnamon French toast, and tasty pastries. A few standouts: the eggs Benedict, the croissants, and the raspberry tart desserts. Yet, the quality of the food fluctuates too much. On normal Sundays, guests will be satisfied; on very busy occasions(Mother’s Day, etc), the food suffers. The seafood becomes bland, the baked goods are dry, and the vegetables dont taste fresh. Other drawbacks of the Fleuri brunch include the expense(single admittance costs upwards of $ 60) and the understaffed dining room(there’s 2 – 3 waiters for roughly 50 tables, so the service is slow). Overall, the huge selection and pleasant ambiance make Café Fleuri a good candidate for a special Sunday brunch. Try it once, just for the experience of it all. Just don’t expect the food to keep up with the décor.

Sunday City Brunch. Holy shit. $ 64 per person, but worth it. Café Fleuri’s AYCE brunch items are loaded with dishes I cannot pronounce, and this is coming from a guy whose daily vocabulary includes words like spondylolisthesis. If you are going to drop a few Andrew Jacksons, you best come here with 2 things: an appetite and a plan. As with any buffet, the goal is to win. The need for an appetite is self-explanatory. Lack of a plan usually leads to the house winning, but if you want to justify your wallet’s weight loss, a strategy here is more important than ever. The food options are broad, with about 60% appetizers/mains and 40% dessert. Regular-guy dishes like waffles, french toast, pancakes are readily available. Middle class dishes like eggs benedict, clam chowder, seafood bar are equally represented. Rich-folk dishes include«Canadian ‘Shrimp Cocktail’ with organic baby tomatoes and remoulade» and«mozzarella bocconcini, heirloom tomato, basil, sea salt and pesto crostini»(the names of which I am typing from photograph rather than memory). Dessert options are abundant, and can be divided as above. Regular-guy dishes include rice crispy treats and cookies. Middle-class options include cinnamon beignets, apple cobbler, and a crêpe station. Rich-folk desserts include«70% valrhona chocolate truffle pop» and other items for which the names are larger than the serving. Back to the strategy. Right off the bat, stay away from regular-guy options. Ain’t nothing wrong with being a regular guy, but if you are«Joe from the block» and droppin’ enough dough for a couple pizza pies, you won’t make a profit eating bread and chicken nuggets. Now… middle class or rich-folk food? For main courses, go with either. The rich-folk items are small enough that you can sample them, realize you don’t have the palate to appreciate them, and not get full. The middle class items are the greatest bang for your buck, especially if you eat seafood. As for dessert, definitely stick with the middle class options. Go on, make yourself an apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream. I tried one of their«chocolate decadence» cupcakes(I am putting most pastries in the rich-folk category), and the taste was not so decadent, with the cake quite dry. You can go and sample some of these high class dishes, but at this point of the meal, you are probably rationing the space in your stomach. The strategy doesn’t end there. Focus on protein for the heart of your meal, and save the carbs for dessert. That means avoid the bread and pastas, if possible. Don’t go nuts with portions of any single dish. If you want to spend this much money on an appetizer, entrée and dessert, go to any other restaurant. This is a buffet. Try as much as possible. Overall, a stunningly beautiful venue in a less-frequented(outside of work) but beautiful part of town, with great service and food(not amazing). One could argue that if you are only in town for one Sunday, this is the place to eat at. PS: Tim 1, Café Fleuri 0. (^_^) Venue (^_^) Service (^_^) Options (^_-) Taste (^_-) Bang for buck Glad I came. Would recommend coming here at least once. Great for any celebration. PROTIPS: Here are my must-try dishes 1. Lobster and bacon omelette 2. Chocolate crêpe with chocolate chips and marshmallows 3. Apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream

I came here for the chocolate brunch. Talk about sugar overload, but it was a fun experience! The space itself is really nice and bright, and the set up of all the chocolates and pastries was beautiful. They have a TON of options… cupcakes, crème brûlée, truffles, puddings, cake, ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit… there’s also a crêpe station. There’s also popcorn; nice to have something salty after all that sugar. I expected it to be more of an actual brunch — like with eggs, pancakes, etc. Kind of like that meal in Chocolat, where savory foods are drenched in chocolate.(Yum.) But it really is just chocolate here. More of a dessert bar. I probably won’t be back. It’s expensive and gave me the worst sugar hangover of my life(which was partly self-imposed/expected, but still). Glad I did it once, though! Made for some great photo opps… the space is beautiful.

A lot of reviews compare this place to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory but if you ask me its more like a trip to candy land. Instead of a golden ticket to a chocolate wonder land you’ve more so skipped through the gumdrop mountains to get to the candy castle. The chocolate buffet is a bit of a misnomer, it’s more of a dessert buffet. Although 2⁄3 of the deserts were probably chocolate based they weren’t the rich chocolate flavor you come for. A lot of the chocolate based deserts had a very light faint chocolate flavor. The majority of deserts as mousses, cupcakes or layered cakes with mousse and cake, of course there is also the chocolate fountain crêpe station and ice cream station. Once major complaint here… the cake was horrible. I actually found myself avoiding cupcake or layered cakes that had cake in it. The cake was very dry and taste store bought. Not at all what I expected and was very disappointing. Another disappointing factor. the crêpe station. one of the buffets staple… was a bust. The crêpe was soggy and although the inside had berries and chocolate it was mostly berries and the chocolate was the semisweet chocolate chips you can buy from the grocery store. Same with the ice cream station, you get the option of vanilla or chocolate ice cream with the usual sundae toppings. There were a few amazing deserts. I couldn’t pick a top 5 so I have a top 6. I counted and noted that I had a total of 38 deserts(trying to limit yourself to one bit per desert helps you in the long run, giving you the opportunity to try almost everything). My six were as follows: dark chocolate champage truffle, smore cup, coconut fudge bar, spiced chocolate soup, black forest cherry chocolate mousse and the sea salt chocolate mousse. The truffle was very rich and fudgey, exactly what I was looking in a chocolate buffet and something that 75% of the deserts were missing. The smore cup has a layer of chocolate mousse and the a layer of a mashmellow whip, it tasted like a homemade fluff, very good very light. The spiced soup reminded me of a very rich hot cocoa I’ve had before, it was very rich, something i would expect in a place trying to be the next chocolate factory. The service was okay, I found myself with an empty water glass multiple times through out the day but the waiters also didn’t mind that my date and I brought cards in order to sit down and digest the food so we could try me. We were there for a total of 3 hours. The buffet is open from 11 – 3 on Saturdays. We made a reservation at 11:30. I think our timing was perfect, when we left at 1 the place was packed and hard to move around a lot of the tables were empty as people were grabbing food quicker than the staff could fill up the tables.

Chocolate lovers of the world… this is your safe haven where you can eat all the chocolate you want with no judgement: P I made reservations a month in advance — I’m not sure what the recommended time frame is but I figured to do it sooner just to be safe. This was for a Saturday lunch at 1pm. We were immediately seated. The restaurant wasn’t packed but there was a good amount of people there. Our server was Lee — He was awesome! He always checked in to make sure everything was ok and my coffee cup was never empty and our table was always cleared of the dirty chocolate dishes. Side note: there was a table next to mine with a group of ~12 girls celebrating a birthday and he was so patient and tended to the whole table and helped the parents with making sure everything was in order. Getting back on track… In order to balance out all of the chocolate I also ordered an item from the food menu. I went with the truffle arugula mushroom thin crusted pizza. It was the size of a Celeste pizza so just the perfect amount to share. While I was waiting for the pizza I figured it would be appropriate to have dessert before my meal(sorry, mom). Everything was organized beautifully and I would give presentation an A+. Chocolate fondue, crêpe station, chocolates organized by regions, crème brûlée, popcorn, warm apple cider, cotton candy machine… and chocolate libations. There was a live band playing and every so often one of the musicians played a short rendition of «Happy Birthday» to anyone celebrating a birthday. This place is well worth it for the chocolate and the experience :).

Seriously, the chocolate buffet is like a dream come true for anyone who has an inkling of desire for chocolate and not afraid to indulge. Yes, it’s a tiny bit pricey, but if you come hungry and don’t eat the entire portion of every dessert, you can get your money’s worth — I certainly did! I didn’t count, but there must had been ~40, if not more, variations in chocolate desserts, and I had one of each. Tip — bring someone along who’s willing to try everything with you — that way, you can just split each dessert and not waste it. Minus one star because the quality is not consistent across all desserts — some were good, some were so-so, and some, I would not want to try again. On the plus side, the décor, ambiance, and structure of the building is beautiful. Another tip: wear stretchable pants. One more tip: get coffee, no sugar, so you can reset your taste buds after every couple bites.
