This is my favorite Pret location in Boston. It’s spacious, clean, and organized. Staff is always at the ready and super chill, too. I recommend the chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich. That’s my go-to. That, salt & vinegar chips and a Diet Coke. Their salads are surprisingly good, too. They have a quinoa salad with corn, avocado, and chicken in it(can’t remember what it was called) but I highly recommend that as well.

The coffee was excellent. The sandwiches were really good. The way the store looked and the environment were awesome. So… Why did I give them 1 star. Because of the grumpy girl taking your order. Such a miserable person full of attitude. I wish I took her name so I could list it on here. She was about 5’2, African american with black hair and glasses. I bet you anything if you went there when she was working, I bet money on it no matter how nice you are she will give you attitude, zero smile or anything, makes faces if you ask her a question. What a nice place with good quality items. It is shocking to me that whoever manages this place would put her on the front to serve customers. She obviously hates her job and people and she sucks at her job. Yes still hire her but put her on the back packaging the sandwiches or doing anything that does not involve dealing with any person. So I paid $ 43! at this store for 3 sandwiches and coffees… Premium price I would say for a shitty service. I am ok paying that but don’t treat me like if I am an asshole specially when I am very polite and nice with you. Will never ever return here. Unreal… I hope she gets fired and gets a miserable job. I was also nice to her throughout the whole time and was thinking at the same time… Is she gonna change a bit now. Miserable @$&$: well now that the frustration is out I feel great now lol no more reviews. I rarely write reviews btw…

This is a review for the location that is a stone’s throw away from Dewey Square. You know, I must say that I am pretty disappointed in the management and staff at this location. I have never had an issue with the quality of food that I’ve purchased here but the behavior of the employees among each other is just unacceptable. I work around the corner on High street and this is a very convenient location for me to go to but I have limited my visits due to the lack of professionalism behind the counter. I was at the register one morning(probably in the winter) and there was literally almost a physical altercation between two employees. There was yelling and verbal violence and I was just in pure shock, everyone was. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and seeing. Just appalling. This morning I witnessed a manager(or supervisor/person in charge on duty) very disrespectfully speak to an employee right in front of customers… really? Are you telling me that the basic common sense to pull that employee aside, out of the view and earshot of paying customers, just didn’t exist? It’s hard to believe they don’t cover that in training. I was embarrassed for the employee being so rudely questioned. I don’t want to make it seem like this type of behavior among employees is exhibited all the time… but again, I don’t frequent this location like I used to. As a customer, I can say that the cashiers are diligent and friendly towards us. They are fast and very polite. However, they really need to learn how to control themselves and practice proper protocol when it comes to communication with each other in front of customers. It really is inexcusable… do better.

Pret is new to me, having recently move to Boston from Pittsburgh, but it’s a great concept! It’s a great option for a quick, affordable grab-and-go lunch. If you’re calorie-conscious, they have basic nutrition posted with all of their stuff. Is it the best food you’re ever going to eat? Doubtful, but for the price and convenience, their baguette is delicious and the food is fresh and tasty, so it’s hard to complain. I also like how friendly the staff is and how quickly you can get in and out with your food. I definitely recommend if you’re in a rush and don’t want«fast food!» Enjoy!

I went to this location for the first time. Everything smelled so good and looked so clean and fresh. I was looking around and was approached by a sales person? /manager? who asked me if I’d ever been there before. I said no, she proceeded to tell me my lunch was on her! WOW, this has never happened to me before, for no particular reason… and coffee too! I have to say, I so appreciated the gesture and want to say thanks for a great lunch! Sophia

I love pret great sandwiches and soup. Minor complaints! Their music is always too LOUD. I will never eat in there. From time to time the avocado is brown in the salad. If the salads $ 8 it should be fresh.

They need a better system for sure. They have plenty of people working, and when they have coffee orders the cashier just shouts it out hoping a barista hears them. I know the baristas don’t because they asked me 3xs what my drink was. They were very apologetic but it makes me not want to come back. I also tried a pre made sandwich which was the chicken avocado. Decent and I just needed a quick lunch so it did the trick.

Walked into this Pret after backpacking in Iceland. I had a layover in Boston and was wandering, smelling like a bag of dog laundry. The super nice lady at the counter gave me a free green tea, just because I was sitting at the bar by the window and she«hated to see me without a drink.» Wow! I wasn’t asking for anything but she was so kind. Cool joint.

For food, I really only get the breakfast here and an occasional sandwich. I like that they have regular portions and I don’t feel stuffed after finishing a croissant. The staff at this one smiles more than the one on Summer St, and usually in a real way, not a panic-y, dead inside way only to appease corporate overlords. This location isn’t crazy busy and I can usually find a seat if I need to. This review is really for their iced coffee. Here is my secret: Get a regular iced Americano. It comes to $ 1.81 and tastes like actual coffee, unlike the brown sugar abomination that spews from Dunks. Add a bit of cream and go. No, it’s not sweet and they don’t have liquid sweetener out, but we should probably all cut back on our sugar anyway, right? I add a half pack of sugar, which is usually dissolved by the time I cross Dewey Square. And yes, the prices are the same at all the local Pret’s, but I like this one.

Pro: staff is very nice, service is quick, food is fresh. Cons: often out of what I came in for and have to wait while the kitchen makes more which kinda defeats the«pret» part of the name. Also, here’s a photo of what I found in my Maine lobster salad today.(Came in for the chicken avocado salad but it was not pret.). At least the top item was theoretically edible albeit unappetizing. But the item on the bottom looks like someone cut the tag off their new shirt while they were preparing the salad. Or maybe it came from a cleaning brush — even less appetizing. At least I didn’t break a tooth.

Leaving a review because I don’t think this location deserves the low rating it has. I’ve been to all 3 Pret locations in the area(DTX, Gridley St and Franklin St) and I received the same service and quality in all 3. I don’t typically order drinks but I love how convenient Pret is when I need to get a quick bite to eat. The food is good quality and I like their business model where any food left over at the end of the day goes to area shelters.

This is a great place to work. Comfy, good wifi, not too crowded, nice employees. I had a ham sandwich, mixed cheddar and caramel popcorn(yum!) and iced coffee. What’s not to like? I’ll be back. My only complaint is the brownie bite that was like one square inch. Where is the rest of the brownie?

Now that I’ve had some of their hit prepared foods it is worth a review update. The cookies here are amazing. I also really enjoy their buffalo chicken wrap, it’s grilled and still great. It is on the lighter side compared to bigger portions you’ll find at local competitors, but I think that it is a good thing. They use some great bleu cheese as well in the wrap. I’ve also had the bacon mac ‘n’ cheese which was also great. All of these are under $ 7 and less than 600 calories. Makes for a light and healthy lunch.

I love this place so much. Whenever I am working downtown I always stop in for breakfast and sometimes lunch. I love that they have delicious healthier options that are fresh and more sustainable sourced. LOVE that they have organic coffee! See ya Sbucks. The employees are always so professional and friendly, great way to start your day. And the line moves efficiently. A+ to the financial district team, I really do love going in. My only recommendation is I would love to see Pret in general move in the direction of GMO free sourced ingredients(like chipotle). This would really make the chain that much better. Thank you again for being a pioneer in healthier food options.

Such a comfortable atmosphere, and lots of fantastic food options. I am obsessed with the tomato and Brie sandwich, as well as the Moroccan lentil soup and the fruit bowls. The coffee is not my favorite, but the food selection and atmosphere more than make up for that. I also really like that they donate their unused food to the needy at the end of the day rather than throwing it away

The food is all pre-made, so all the folks here have to do for you is pour you a coffee, right? So, why in the world does it take forever to get anything here? There are usually two people behind the register looking super busy but somehow nothing get’s rung up without the need for a manager(who really looks like she’d rather be someplace else). Sure, the food is tasty, but getting out of there in a reasonable amount of time is almost impossible. I wish I could say that this problem is just with this location, but the same wait can be expected at any of the four locations that have popped up around me. Check out the Pret across from South Station on any weekday morning… tens of thousands of people must pass the shop’s doors on the way to work. You’ll see three people in line at Pret, but twenty in line at Dunkins around the corner. Do you want to guess why? Dunkins can get that line of twenty or thirty people out the door(usually with a smile) in the same time that three people are served at Pret. No exaggeration. Well, okay… a little exaggeration there, but not much.

I have happy memories of the Pret shops across the Pond in the UK and I was pleased to see this one here in Boston. It’s laid out and stocked almost exactly the same! Coolers of yummy sandwiches and salads and a coffee espresso machine ready to make up your delicious — and organic — coffee. It is located exactly across the street from the Federal Reserve building at South Street station. Prices are a little higher than what I saw over in the UK though. Free wifi but I didn’t see power outlets.

I’d never eaten at Pret until last night. But, it was very convenient when I arrived early & hungry before a fitness class at the gym across the street(dinner time 6:40PM). I wasn’t sure what to expect but I had a delicious sandwich on whole grain bread with avocado, pesto, chicken and veggies. Satisfying and good for you! The sandwiches are pre-made; but guaranteed to have been made the same day as your visit. They give any food they have leftover at the end of the night to shelters. I’d definitely shop at Pret for food again if I was in the area.
