Nice outside seating area. Ordered cucumber salad and curry wurst. No beer tonight, gotta work early tomorrow. Salad was good, and while the curry wurst was flavorful it was served luke warm. Waitress was ok. I’ll give it one more try, maybe tonight was a fluke.

My dad is German, so I thought this would be a fun place to checkout. PROS: There’s always a great place to sit. Even when it’s busy. Fun atmosphere but never too loud to talk to your friend Awesome beer selection German small dishes including meats/cheeses/pretzels No matter if you’re vegetarian or gluten free, you can still find something awesome to eat or drink. CONS: Sometimes if it’s busy you may have to ask for your drink more than once, but the staff is extremely friendly!

Stopped here for a quick drink and appetizer. Great location with outdoor seating. The pretzel was ok but beer selection is obviously great!

I’m not a beer drinking kinda gal but loved this place! And their palest beer was actually an excellent choice for me. It’s a tiny place so it can get packed but it also has outside seating available. Great place to start your evening off with or a Sunday beer chill hour in the summer.

We tried to go there today & upon entering we were told our stroller wasn’t allowed inside & that I had to go park it in the alley. I had 2 sleeping babies in my stroller & the place was empty. We left & wont be back.

Prost! does a body good! What a great pub! If you want energy, excitement, good beer and good food, you can’t really go wrong with a visit to this foreign land. You don’t even have to hop on a plane! Prost! is a gathering place for happy people looking for a fun experience. Several beers will make your tummy smile. I am a huge fan of Schneider Meine Hopfenweisse and the Maisel’s Dunkel Weisse and it tends to be my go-to. Not only is their«beir» superb but their bites are equally as mesmerizing. I get pulled towards the salads and the two I have tried, keep me coming back for more. The Gurken Salat which is a traditional German cucumber salad tossed in a creamy, fresh dill and green onion dressing is plain and simple yet refreshing on a warmer day. The other salad that has my taste buds cuffed is their Rüben Salat which is marinated beets, blue cheese, red onion, and walnuts served over mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette. This salad will surely make you a comeback for more and they both are pretty healthy. The service is always fun and fast here but not being able to taste the beer prior to getting a huge mug full makes this a 4 star for me.

I come from German ancestry. My mother occasionally made German potato salad and German rye bread and other dishes. When I looked at the Prost! menu, I recalled all of these German dishes from my youth. Prost! Offers delicious food and German style beer in an authentic setting. Expand your culinary horizons, try flavors that match well with great beer. Give Prost! a try ! John

Tasty beer in large quantities. Location is right next to other restaurants, so good place to have a quick beer and move on if you’d like. Good local and social chill vibe. I love the kostritzer stout! $ 5.5 for what I believe is a 22oz beer. DELICIOUS. The sampler platter was really tasty also!

Phenomenal choices in German brews and great German-style food fare await you in this wonderful addition to downtown Boise. Their potato salad is amazing and the food is just the kind of simple and hearty fare you would want to pair with a great German beer. Whether you want a small beer with a friend for lunch or a huge boot of beer(yes, they have the giant boot-shaped glasses of you desire) to start off the evening, then this is a great first stop for your evening downtown. Probst!

Excellent customer service, delicious German food and beer. The waitress went above and beyond, and we could not have felt more welcome, as if in Germany. We will be back! Highly recommended new place on 8th!

If you love German food, then this place is the place to be! It’s really amazing and the beers are fantastic! Seriously, the only reason I’m giving it four star is because I WISH the menu was bigger! I love their food, and if you’ve seen my tips, then you’ll know that Ithink they have the best Potato Salad ever! German style of course… but still. Beers are all cold and amazing. and I want to talk like Klaus from American Dad when I’m there. It’s great! Please go! If you’ve been, go again! And AGAIN! ANDAGAIN!

They have some nice beers you can’t get easily anywhere else in Boise. However, they are also unique among our local beer snobberies in not typically offering tasters. I asked the waitress for a couple. She provided them, but only after making a thing of how they don’t normally do that. The food is of okay quality, but way too expensive for cold salads and sandwiches and steamed fare served without sides. Their pretzels are inexcusably bad for a German place. They’re made by a local French bakery, and taste like lingering international animosities taken out on an innocent appetizer. The atmosphere is pretty okay, though. I come here occasionally for a drink, but would not bother with the food again.

Prost! is the final word on pickles… If you need more information than that, read on. Seasonally relevant, immensely German beer selection, with a wine list and cider for those so inclined. The roast beef havarti sandwich is fresh and oh so good, with a nod to local in the Acme bread. The beets are exactly as they should be in any small German eatery. The apfelkuchen(apple pie-esque dessert) is good in that it’s not overly sweet, but a touch on the dry side. Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, great patio on warm summer days.

Nice selection of German beers on draft I wish they had more of the varieties of Paulaner and Spaten beers bottled, but there are very good equivalents that can be had in a 1 litre glass. The currywurst would be better served in a larger puddle of curry catsup, but not too much! Also maybe with fries instead of sliced bread. Nathan said the bretzel was very good, but I don’t know if I trust him to judge these types of things! I will have to order it for myself next time!

Missy and Christina made me feel at home as soon as I walked in to the ‘guest haus’. I felt as if I were back in Waldorf, Germany. The bier was delicious, Maisel Weisse. I felt bad I had lunch before I got here. I will be back, soon. I’m sure the food is delicious!

Great addition to 8th Street. Drinks: Beer, wine, and ciders. My boyfriend loved his beer, and I enjoyed my rose. Prost! hands out punch cards, and you get a punch for each beer you get. After a certain number of punches, you get a prize. The first punch card gives you a t-shirt. After a certain number of completed punch cards, you get a bar stool! Pretty neat and unique concept. Food: I tried the cheesy bretzel roll for an appetizer — simple but delicious. My boyfriend had the bretzel sandwich, which looked amazing. He enjoyed it thoroughly and made me very jealous. I got the beet/goat cheese salad — really good but didn’t quite fill me up. Service: Friendly and down-to-earth staff. I felt welcomed and appreciated. Atmosphere: Fun art décor, laid back, good music, and nice patio. Not sure I’ll come back often, since I don’t eat meat and I don’t drink beer. But I wanted to give it a try and I’m happy I did! And I’m sure my boyfriend will be taking me back very soon.

Giant beers. I should just stop there. That should be enough said. But since I have some time on my hands… Yes. Go here. It is a small German pub with traditional German beers and food. It is owned by a small group of local beer lovers as well as some from out of state. I usually go for the high ABV stuff at Bitter Creek(a.k.a. The BC), but upon I was reminded of my younger days when I would ingest high quantities of light beer. The great thing about Prost! is that is meets me right there in that sweet spot. The beers are very good quality, but not so heavy and/or devastatingly strong that you only need one. Sometimes, you just wanna drink beer. The sessionable beers at Prost! allow you to drink a lot of beer without being too tore from alcohol content and without having to put 18 bud lights into your face. Let’s be real though, I was feeling something after the 2nd litre. Also, I applaud the punch card system. Drink beer, get your card punched, get merch. If I’m gonna be drinking anyway, why not get some T-Shirts out of it. Prost! does it right. Not all bar have a firm grasp on the rewards system. Definitely a good place to have a beer in the summer sun.
