I went to Mulligan’s on Tuesday for 2 for 1 drinks. This was my first time going to any Boise bars since I turned 21 in January. The night started off well. I didn’t think it was super busy but my local buddies told me that it was a busy night. I don’t think I’ve ever waited so long for a drink. The bar is double sided, and there was only one bartender working each side. You’d think they’d be better staffed on one of their busiest nights. I really enjoyed the heated patio area out back. Anyway, I bought 6 pints of PBR(6 total, since it was two for one). When I went to close out my tab, I noticed that they had charged me 18.50 for the beer. If I am correct, a pint of PBR is $ 4.00. This means that my total should have been 12.00. Additionally, they charged me $ 3.50 for some rum well drinks that I never ordered. When I approached the bartender, I was obviously somewhat frustrated. He kept telling me to «chill out». When he turned around to correct my tab(after some convincing) he was visibly talking about me to his co worker. Overall I liked the atmosphere of the place, but the wait to get a beer, the overcharging, and the rudeness of the bartender really turned me off. I’m guessing that this is an isolated incident, but I will probably never return to this place.

FROZENSQUAREMILES! Naw man I love this place but for real I wish my drink wasn’t frozen solid right now. Still five stars tho. UPDATE: The frozen drink situation has been ratified. Wrongs have been righted. Great service. Five stars af.

Service was okay(good waitress), food was over cooked, all prices were hiked up for Halloween, costume contest winner was the judges friend, and worst of all the mens bathroom door was always open(possibly propped), didn’t need to see men peeing. Was there a year ago with a much nicer experience all around.

I have been here several times. Every time the service is consistent, drinks are affordable, and their nachos are great. Plan to share. This was a great place to watch the BSU game. It wasn’t too packed at first but after the game it picked up, a ton. I wouldn’t say the service was slow but by the end of the night they were just very busy and the bar set-up seems to be, awkward for only one or two bartenders. Getting my tab took longer than I thought it should. Oh well, no matter, I will always be back!

Mulligans is one of the best dive bars in town. They have pool, darts, shuffleboard, and other video games. They also serve some food… I don’t remember what but it was good drunk food. And best of all there are always interesting people to strike up and conversation with.

Always a great place to come to kick back with friends! Super cheap drink, cheap tables and overall a great atmosphere! Not to mention if you do come here you HAVETO get the beef nachos! I couldn’t make them better myself. Wonderful place!

Serious dive bar vide. Smells a little. But has pool tables and good beer selection and patio out back. Took awhile to get drinks though

I will be back but in the summer to enjoy the patio… went here for HH after work, it was really loud. A drunk chick sitting next to us was telling us stories, she had been there for a while and was basically yelling over the speakers… I guess she was celebrating Thursday or something like that. Like I said, like the place but will wait for the summer patio to open up.

Came here on business for two nights and I asked the guy at the front desk of the hotel for a good bar with some good decent bar food. I was in luck. It was a Tuesday for the ‘2 for 1′ drink special and I got the chicken quesadilla appetizer(recommended by the bartender). Absolutely fantastic. Brings me to my next point… the bartender, Kelly. Being from Chicago, Kelly is by far the best, most experienced and friendly bartender(or even server for that matter)…I have ever experienced. If you appreciate a young«do what you want and I’ll do mine» atmosphere, with an INCREDIBLE bartender… Come here.

This was my first time going into Mulligans, and what I thought was going to be quick beer stop between places turned into the centerpiece of our evening. I bumped into my neighbor who sat and had a beer with us and met a few new interesting characters whom I am scheduled to play monopoly with later. The beer is higher quality than the place looks and the food very good for a divey type bar with billiards and the golf video game. It’s pretty good.

Classic«dive bar» with cheap drinks, friendly bar staff and delicious late night food options. I just wish that they had a better selection of Bourbon, but so long as they continue to at least carry Woodford Reserve, I’ll gladly meet up with old friends here any time I visit Boise.

The most active dive-ish bar in boise. The music is erratic and people watching is champion grade. The pool tables are well used, the staff are friendly, the bar food is what you would expect with a bit of originality thrown in, and unless you get blackout drunk and get yourself kicked out or try to swipe someones pool table while theyre taking a smoke break(if there are quarters on the table, find another table or wait) you should have a generally good time.

Divey, dicey, definitely a college bar. Serves it’s purpose and certainly less pretentious and fewer douche bags than the Bistro. Also they make tot-nachos which are a great compliment to a PBR or Rainier.

Gotta love Mullies. Descent drink prices and the atmosphere is good. A little on the small side, but if you’re looking for a bar to frequent on the weekdays after work, this is definitely your place. Never been let down here. They also serve some pretty ok grub!

I really like Mulligans as far as chill bars downtown goes it’s one of the least douchey or club-like college bars you can find. I like to stop in once or twice a month for a drink. Every Tues night is 2for1 can you say HELLO? Awesome deal. The bartenders and the doorman are always really nice and helpful. One of my favorite things about Mulli’s is there are like 10 pool tables, and best of all, they have a pretty decent sized menu with food that is actually GOOD. Granted it’s bar food, but not nearly as shitty as you’d imagine. Had a few different things now and can’t complain about a single one. Tasty stuff. Def one of my fav low-key bars.

This place is hit and miss. Sometimes the scene is relaxed and fun filled with hipster, bullshit jokes. (I like to laugh) The bar food is always righteous. The jukebox puts a smile on my face and the PBR40s always make my days seem better. However, most days Mulligans is filled with a whole bunch of jerk faces that believe that their sole purpose in this bar is to show off their tattoos and talk shit about other people who do not have tattoos and/or piercing. It’s quite simple minded if you ask me. I’ll be back though… I always come back.

We were doing an exotic car rally(Bullrun), and one of our stops was in Boise. This was one of the few places open when I finally got up from my recovery nap… hahaha! It’s a small bar/pub, with the typical karaōke, pool tables, etc. happening inside. The food was ok, and the atmosphere was eh. I can’t say that I’d come here if anything else was open, but it did the trick and kept the hunger monsters at bay that night.

It’s unfortunate my Boise brethren aren’t more enthusiastic about reviewing establishments. Perhaps they’re all on Google. Here are my two cents then: Describing to an outsider what Mulligans’ Golf Pub & Eatery is like can be a bit challenging. What is the appeal of a hundred hipsters packed in a oversized dive bar with long lines and smoky air? The atmosphere, dummy. If you grew up within a thirty mile radius of this bar the likelihood of running into someone you know from high school is great. For me, this is more exciting than a family reunion. I’m well aware that many people hate family reunions – perhaps steer clear then. But there are plenty of interesting characters that need to be met. From what I understand, there is no longer indoor smoking, but to the rear and front there is plenty of patio seating. A couple pool tables, darts, and arcade machines inside will keep you busy if you’re the multi-tasking type. Also, there’s a touch tunes machine. On any given night you will hear anything from Chris Brown to Rob Zombie. Promise. If you visit on a weekend, pop your doll hairs in early to reserve your tracks. Finally, there are specials most days of the week. Dollar beers on Sundays. Sunday funday activate! There’s also industry night and two for ones. When I was in Boise, Mulligans was my weekday bar.
