Great local spot. Homemade soup and yummy fresh salads. The breakfast food is delicious and the service always cheerful and welcoming. One of the best hole-in-the-wall joints in Boise for sure.

A nod to our local guys standing up to microwaves, and all things cliché. I wasn’t even mad when you told me you didn’t have ketchup because I’m a big girl and I solve problems. Next time I’ll just drink Mimosas. Because they’re amazing, and I will say your little deal is tempting«Buy an entrée and get your first two mimosas for $ 1». I would personally never ruin a good buzz like that so just keep the $ 3 pours coming. You guys are paving the way and keeping Idaho fresh. It’s a great spot for an eclectic lunch — I can’t wait to see what your patio will bring this summer.

Great place. I got the bruschetta grilled cheese w the Rosemary potato soup. Oh my goodness. My mouth can’t handle all of the flavors from this sandwich.

Great vibe-local place to eat. Live music and wholesome food! I have enjoyed a cup of tomato basil coconut soup and a bruschetta grilled cheese. Great place to check out downtown. Right next door to my favorite pizza place Guido’s! Family owned and operated!!!

This is the ultimate dive diner/bar with great food, servers, and drinks! I have probably walked/driven right by this place at least 10 times without even noticing its existence. Heather S. suggested we go here for taco Tuesday and I am always down for some tacos. The tacos were small, but for just $ 1 each, they were worth it. The tacos were not made in a huge batch quantity, but rather made or order. I also tried their Strawberry mint mimosa and it was delicious. I will be back for brunch or lunch one day because the items on their menu look very interesting. They seem to take regular items and put their eclectic twist on each!

I decided to change things up a bit and ordered the breakfast burrito with ham instead of my pork tacos. It’s huge but I managed to eat the entire thing. And a bowl of their tomato soup which I happen to have a special compartment in my stomach for, always. I seriously love this place and it always brightens my mood. From their awesome mix tapes(yes, tapes!) to the lovely service in spite of what I’ve always seen as a 1 or at most, 2 man/woman operation, they never disappoint.

So thrilled I randomly stumbled upon this hole-in-the-wall gem. I’ve been here for lunch several times, and once for brunch. The breakfast burrito is delicious, filling, and flavorful. Not too big, which I always appreciate. And they made it vegetarian for me. Very accommodating. The specialty mimosas are a must — creative flavors and only $ 1 during happy hour(from 11AM — 1PM) on the weekends. Can’t beat that. Their street tacos(which they also made vegetarian for me) are so so good — they add a black bean purée which is a fun touch. The tacos are only $ 1 on Tuesday’s. Again, can’t beat that. I also love their sandwiches(homemade bread for the win) and salads(get the citrus cilantro vinaigrette — I wish they sold it in bottles).

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat on my way out of town. It was a great find! Great food! Had half a sandwich and a cup of soup and I was full. Service was fast but not rushed. Prices were decent. Definitely would recommend!

This is definitely a place to go! Tyler gave me excellent service today. I had strawberry cilantro mimosas and the Cuban which were delicious. The vibe in the restaurant was happy and the art on the walls were local and fun to look at. Definitely five stars!

Amazing is the only word to describe this place. Hole in the wall, great, cute atmosphere with great people helping. Food is great, try the breakfast burrito, I suggest you share with someone. The drinks are perfect, I don’t you suggest to share with anyone, the strawberry blueberry basil mimosa is scrumptious! It has a cute patio, live music and love — yup! I am looking for my brunch spot, this might be it… Forever!

Support the locals! This place was fantastic. Everywhere I go I always try to find some place new to eat and they exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff that are all about organic and healthy options. The waitress was super friendly and answered all my questions. While I was there I ordered the veggie panini with vegan tomato basil soup. Absolutely fantastic. However, it’s not your typical panini. It comes in a pita bread wrap but tastes phenomenal. The tomato basil soup was also really tasty. They blend the tomatoes and basil together so it is more of a purée. I also noticed that they have bands come play on the weekends. It’s always new and exciting! Sadly I wasn’t able to check it out but will definitely have to come back soon!

Went here for lunch, it was great. We will be going back for dinner eventually. Cute little patio, nice price point and friendly staff. We shared the tacos and had the pico and chips for our side, very tasty. They also have happy hour and live music every weekend, kind of a nice change from your typical lunch selections.

Both times I have been here the food has been disappointing. :(. It’s a small beer/wine bar that serves food. It’s a little odd for my taste. The servers have both been very nice. And the live music Friday is fun. Anyway. On to the food description. This time I had the classic grilled cheese. Sounds good right. They use fresh baked bread which is great but not my favorite for grilled cheese. But I’m weird. The salad was a mix of greens that have a grass like flavor. Not my favorite. And the house ranch has a strange flavor to it not bad but also not great. Give it a try.

Came here for taco Tuesday. $ 1 street tacos. I ordered two chicken and two pork, they came with pico de gallo, avocado salsa, lime, and some crumbled queso fresco on top. The queso was an interesting twist, the saltiness went well with the tanginess of the lime. Unfortunately they were very small, I had to order two more to get marginally full. Also, I waited 15 minutes with no check before I started this review and it still hasn’t come…

Stop by for a wonderful meal and $ 1 mimosas. They are always different based on what they have made fresh that day. Cucumber/jalapeño and raspberry/mint are excellent! All the food is made fresh. I can’t rave enough about how good the breakfast burrito is and the homemade bread is too.

If you are looking for classy, dress up kinda place-this absolutely isn’t it. It is however, a little divey, hidden gem with delicious food! After the a friend and I had gone on Preservation Idaho’s «Walk About Boise» walk, we decided we’d go somewhere for lunch we had both never been. Service was lovely(think her name was Andrea!) Just positive, fun-loving and able to actually talk about the menu. A little slow but it was a busy afternoon and as now have seen in several reviews«no microwave» kinda implies, they’re doing it a bit slower. and after I received my food, I decided that it was well worth a few extra minutes! The salad was ASSEMBLED, not thrown together. .with cucumbers, shaved parm, veggies & home made little«baby» croutons(a pet peave of mine is too large crutons scratching up roof of my mouth since they rarely cut in half without making a mess!) all of these in their pretty little place on the salad. .suprise #1! Suprise #2 was the home made bread. .lightly grilled(not too crunchy) but all the cheese was melted perfectly on my Caprese Grilled Cheese. Yum yum yum-don’t know if that is ENOUGH Yums-it all was just delicious! Actually enough basil to really taste it too! Friend had the BLT + avocado. We decided to split sandwhiches. I was kinda regretting it as savoring my Caprese… but so happy we did after trying it! My fave sandwich is a BLAST,(BLT + avocado + swiss) so have eaten plenty of that type, but the bacon was perfect(not deep fried) and that homemade bread-YUM again! In fact I’m going to ask next time for the Caprese with bacon… maybe my new fave! Eric the cook was definitely busy but smiled from the open line. .they were both genuinely nice & pleasant. the décor kinda funky, not ultra clean but all a pleasant surprise. We left with our belies full and chuckled that we’d ended our afternoon on a «high note»…will be back!

I just finished my Flying M coffee before ever making out of their gift shop when I realized I was also hungry. So instead of going back to the counter and admitting to the lady that I’m a little kid and can’t plan for the future, I did the adult thing and just got the hell out of there. I noticed High Note next door and decided to try it out. What goes great with coffee at 10am? A beer. So I did that. Payette Outlaw to keep it local. I also got the breakfast burrito and was very pleased with the weight and girth of said burrito. Yeah, the words«pleased», «weight», and«girth» were used in the same sentence describing a food. I will stop there before this review dips into that particular subsection of the internet. I love the chalkboard all over the place stating specials and up coming live music to play within the establishment. The other customers seem to be a mix of young and old. Now that it’s summer I can’t tell if these are young adults or kids on break. It’s easy in the winter when I can just assume they are runaways. Anyway, High Note is a great place to sit and relax in a cool setting. I’ll be back to hear some live music one of these days. You should to.

I just LOVE this place. I actually was trying to decide where to go to lunch one day so I looked on Unilocal to see what was nearby with good reviews and came across the High Note. I don’t know how I never knew about this place. It’s tucked away in between the Flying M and Guidos. This has now become a favorite lunch spot of mine. The BEST part about this place is they take the time to make basically everything homemade and it really shows in the flavors. You don’t get that much anymore… homemade bread. salad dressings?! So delicious. They also dont use microwaves! For the price it’s a great value, I get the half sandwich with one of their tasty soups for $ 7. The turkey cheddar melt sandwich is so hearty with big thick pieces of turkey and homemade bread, I can’t finish a whole one. I have only tried the salmon chowder, which I love, but they always have several other soup options. I am really curious to try the breakfast burrito or one of their salads… next time! The inside is small and a little dark and quiet in the daytime but don’t worry the food makes up for it. I am going to have to check this place out at night sometime, it seems to turn into a bar and they offer late night food and live music! I hope this place never goes away!
