My family loves Dharma! We love biking and always try to stop at Dharma to treat ourselves with some sushi. Service is great although we prefer the old orange chairs. We love the atmosphere and surrounds it. especially during summer!

This corner sushi shop was very artistic and innovative with their rolls and layout. The Bangkok Roll was a fresh tangy combination and the Swagger Roll had a cool, sweet, teriyaki flavor. The Cali Roll and Peanut roll tasted much like any other roll of its kind, but the spicy mayo complimented both of them! The only issue was that the rolls tended to stick to the paper plates and fall apart. I really recommend this place to college kids or quick dinner dates! The pricing was moderate, but worth every penny!

Was not impressed at all. Not genuine sushi, I could’ve gotten something like this at albertsons. Definitely not for people who like to get sushi a lot and is more geared towards hungry college students that don’t care as much about food.

This place is a sham. Touch screen ordering/the three idiots behind the counter have no skills to deal with people let alone make food! The worst tuna roll ever. No variety just cat food. The restaurant was dirty, staff unkept, and In no way has any respect for sushi or food in my opinion.

I just discover dharma during my last semester of college, since they delivered to the library during finals week. Since then, I’ve experienced poor customer service over the phone and poor face to face communication. What’s most irritating is that they say they’re open until 3am Friday and Saturday and that they deliver until midnight, and multiple times I’ve tried to order food at 11:20 to be deliver to my house, and the website says the store isn’t open. Then when I try to call, they don’t answer the phone. I really did enjoy my first dharma experience. I think their menu is small yet tasty, but I’m very frustrated with he horrid service.

The food was pretty darn good. Its very reasonably priced. The service was terrible. I have never been insulted by a counter worker before Dharma Thai. I work in the industry and I understand that everybody has bad nights and sometimes you just get slammed. It was my girlfriends birthday and she wanted some quality Thai food. We had not tried here so we thought we would get something ordered togo. I had the task of picking it up at 6:30PM — The order was placed at 5:34. I thought an hour was a lot of time for our small order(2 rolls and 2 bowls) so i showed up a little early. They have very limited seating and of course no real parking around there(but I can’t hold that against them). I checked in at the counter to let them know I was there waiting for the order and then sat down. The place became busy enough for me to give up my seat to other customers who were dining in that evening. A group of people waiting for their food started to gather near the counter because all seats were full. It did not take long before the *extremely loud and obnoxious* blonde haired female started harassing us telling us we could not stand there. Nobody knew what to do because there were no seats around and it was 18 degrees outside. After nobody moved the lady continued to hassle the crowd stating that we were blocking everyone else from the counter. Everyone took a step back to try and clear the way but nobody came to the counter. Everybody was simply waiting on their food. Again this wouldn’t be a huge issue but the workers were in no way showing a sense of urgency. Their blonde haired leader was actually talking about«how dumb the customers were for not understanding». All in a very open kitchen where we could all hear. A few customers actually walked out. I could not because my girlfriend had already payed for the food. After being insulted for standing there waiting for my food I finally received the package at 7:03. A full 33 minutes past the expected time. 1 hour and 33 minutes for 2 basic sushi rolls and 2 basic salad bowls. I rushed out of there hoping to not get yelled at as I collected my food. I drove it to my girlfriend to celebrate the evening. Unfortunately when I got home I was informed that both rolls were missing from the order. I called three times before the blonde lady answered. She commented that everything was just going wrong that day… again I work in the industry and i understand that it happens sometimes. She told me to come back down and that she would have them ready for me along with a free cheap dessert(the mochi was actually very good). I went back to retrieve the rolls and arrived 25 minutes AFTER I called and informed them of the missing pieces. They had not even started the rolls. I waited around(careful not to stand near the counter and set off the troll who guards it) for another 20 minutes before asking again. I could tell the young gentleman server was embarrassed it took so long and he genuinely apologized. I saw them start my rolls and 10 minutes later I was driving back home with the second half of my order and a free dessert(appreciated but it cost me more in gas to get there and back than the dessert did). All in all it took 2 hours and 28 minutes for me to get my full order for 2 people. The food was good. The lady was a dragon. Go on in… you will know who I am talking about. Lady you know who you are. Chill out, work faster and treat your customers better. I want to go back because good Thai food is so hard to find here in Boise. Maybe I’ll check it out this summer and see if my girl is gone yet.

I had an excellent experience at dharma. The food was delicious and made promptly. A gentleman there named andrew took very good care of us. From time to time asking if we were doing okay and ensuring our needs were met. Would recommend this place to anyone. Especially with awesome service like his.

This place has a lot of good things going for it. For starters, they have an innovative touch screen for ordering with prices and things you can add to your order. The customer service is great too and the food looks great. Unfortunately, the food may look great, but it’s not. The food from the sushi to the curry is just bland and lacks any authenticity. I had high hopes for this place, but I’m not going to be coming back.

My boyfriend and I are regulars at Dharma. I personally have been going there since they’ve opened. Every time I have such great service and AMAZING food. My personal favorite is the money bags, but as for sushi the apocalypse roll takes the cake. I love the atmosphere and the setting they create. Their fish and ingredients are fresh, their tables and sitting area are always clean. Some of the best tuna I’ve had in the valley. Thanks for doing what you do Dharma. I don’t go anywhere else for sushi in the valley. :)

Stopping in for a quick bite late one Friday night, I wanted something simple and ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl off the«kids» menu. I had been here once before and was immediately put off by the sterile atmosphere but figured a quick bowl would be fine. If you like tasteless, shredded chicken and a teriyaki sauce in name only, then it was passable. The extra unagi sauce I was smart enough to order at least have it flavor. The people are nice, but what they’re given to work with isn’t as nice. There are better places to find both sushi and Thai food that’s for sure.

This restaurant made me feel special. The food is so good. Plus I didn’t even have to order from a person I got to order from a tablet. This restaurant understands people

Welcome to the future. At Dharma, you stroll in, step up to a touchscreen, peruse the menu and order your food. This is merely the first step towards becoming subservient to our robot overlords, but that’s beside the point. You sit down and your food is brought to you, with none of that messy«interpersonal interaction» stuff that everyone hates. The food is just ok. My red curry lunch special came with a salad and a half serving of chicken curry, which tasted less bold than the red curry that I’m used to in Seattle. Their sushi is an abomination, but in an endearing way. I got an extremely fat roll with tuna, bacon, and fried onion flakes. Not traditional to say the least, but what do you expect from a restaurant run by Decepticons?

It is a chill place and I like the food. The most interesting thing is the new touch screen ordering system, it seems to have sped up service.

I appreciate Dharma because they are yet another gluten free option in downtown Boise. The menu has a specific section that lists all of their gluten free options including several rolls and lap bowls. I am not a big fan of seafood so I generally stick with the Save the Fish roll which comes with a yummy cilantro sauce. One suggestion I would give them is to offer gluten free soy sauce. I always find it ironic receiving several packets of regular(read wheat) soy sauce with my gluten free meal. Service is generally pretty fast and efficient whether for lunch or late night post-bar but don’t expect a lot of personal service — ordering is done via computer terminals. Think of it as fast-service sushi.

I’m mixed about this place. The ordering process is a little impersonal and low class(they don’t greet or communicate with you – instead they make you order on a touch screen device). The food was decent. Not the best sushi ever but not the worst. Overall I’d say they are okayyy.

An excellent and unconventional sushi and Thai place. The sushi rolls are generously portioned. I got the urban role and was not disappointed! They also come around with samples of food and one of the waiters offered me some green curry. It was phenomenal, and though I had not planned to order green curry it was definitely on my order! Excellent fusion of flavors! The unconventional way has to do with how you order. They’re little kiosk at the counter, and you scroll through the menu. Each food item has a picture and a description. You tap the items you want to order, swipe your card, the receipt prints out, and you are ready to go! If you’re eating in, you sit down and they bring the food to you. It is super easy, super intuitive, and super efficient. I am definitely planning a repeat visit.

The sushi roll I had consisted of way too much rice, some seaweed, and some aha but it cost almost $ 10. The roll was barely decent tasting and not worth the money. On top of that, they did not even serve the roll with ginger or wasabi. Very mediocre food. On top of that, you don’t even get a personable experience with the staff. It’s all very impersonal because you order through a computer screen and it’s not very convenient if you have specific questions or want a special order. Plus, when they deliver the food, they have to awkwardly glance at all the receipt numbers at the ends of the table. I would not come back, there are plenty of other more delicious sushi places in Boise that are actually worth the money.

Not a huge fan. When I went the place was empty and I could see why. Although there were four people working behind the counter, customers must order from a screen akin to a Walmart self-checkout and it was equally as unpleasant. As you order by clicking a picture on a screen, you have guess as to what your sushi roll consists of. I’d much prefer reading a menu with descriptions of what I’m about to spend $ 10 on. I ended up with a sub-par roll slathered with tarter sauce(why?) and my hunger allowed me to finish only 3 pieces before I gave up. Not to mention, the roll was huge and definitely couldn’t be eaten in one bite. I feel sorry for the people that think this place is great since they’ve clearly never been exposed to what good sushi is supposed to be like.

Oh.My.God. Definitely my new favorite sushi in Boise. Everything we ordered was so fresh and flavorful, and it’s very impressive how efficient these guys are. The food came out fast as lightening. Also, I love how you order, there is a little monitor where you place your order and swipe your card. It’s so convenient, I wish more places in town would adopt this method. We ordered one sushi roll, two red Thai curry lunch specials with shrimp, as well as fried tofu and Thai Bombs. My fiancé said if he could he would eat the thai bombs everyday for the rest of his life, haha. I was delighted by the experience right down to the roomy high back orange chairs, and cute wall art. We will certainly come back very soon and I highly recommend Dharma to everyone!
