A scavenger hunt I was on, brought me past Indie MADE, which is located in Old Boise. One look in the window and I couldn’t resist stopping in. A gift shop of the highest order. Local everything. Indie everything. Shirts, hats, amazing hand crafted jewelry, belt buckles, locally made candles. Honestly, you could spend far too long in here. I mean, they had a leather growler holder for your bike! Or, a similarly made wine bottle holder! Seriously? I need both of those items. Depending on the day. I found a locally made birthday card for a friend(made by local biz Rainbow Sprinkles). Prices aren’t cheap, but what you might expect for quality products(the birthday card was $ 3 – which seemed completely reasonable). If you’re shopping for someone, and aren’t entirely sure what to get them – come here. So many unique, thoughtful gift ideas, you’ll be inspired. Get to it!

I popped into this place not totally knowing what to expect. They have a little bit of everything though! A perfect place for purchasing gifts and fun trinkets for yourself. They had a lot of Boise or Idaho themed items that I was totally planning on getting and I do not even live there! There were candles that were probably about 10oz for $ 20. That is a bit more expensive than Bath and Body works or something but they are cleaner burning and probably last much longer. They also had organic deodorant, lotions, scrubs, soaps… They also have decorative art pieces, earrings, baby hats… so much, I can not remember everything. I would just stop in to take a peek. Knowing everything is handmade and probably organic, the prices are higher than what you would find at a Target or something but they have much more personality and you are supporting local artists!

This shop is beautiful. The products are gorgeous and beautifully designed. But unless I win the lottery, I won’t even buy the cheapest thing in this shop. Only foreign diplomats should purchase things here because though the products take time to design and are completely gorgeous, the prices are completely over the top. So if you’re into awesome things, stop in, but plan on window shopping your way through this pricy store.(Then go to Flying M and buy a trinket that you can afford.)
