Definitely somewhere to go to grab a DELICIOUS bite to eat :) I wish I could give 4.5 stars! I really love the food as well as how friendly the service is every time. My only complaint is the speed. They are experts are preparing good food, but do not do so with Jimmy Johns or Subway speed. That being said, though, I get cravings for their sandwiches so they are clearly doing something very right! I love walking in there and seeing kids running around in fire hats! Such a great environment and they support a great cause with your change!

Went there the other day. I was looking forward to a nice cold sub. Who the hell steams lettuce and tomatoes on a cold sub. I was shocked that they don’t even ask you if you want it steamed /wilted they just do it. I took a few bites and threw it away. They lost me as a customer I’m going back to JERSEYMIKES!!!

This place is SOGOOD and the service is FANTASTIC. Of all the sub places I would choose this one every time and of all the locations, this one is my favorite. They must be doing something right because their employees are seriously so nice and accommodating. Make sure to always round up your change for the first responders too! I love that!

I still don’t get it. Third time in after some buddies told me you have to do the meatball. I did and decided I won’t come back. It just so so. I have had much better and it’s not worth it.

Got sandwich platters here to feed our teachers on school conference day. So easy to order, super friendly staff, teachers LOVED the food(subs, pickles, chips, cookies and iced tea/lemonade). I just ordered again for staff appreciation week. They had a copy of my previous order right on hand so I could easily order again. They’re our go-to place now!

Soggy subs, decent chili. I’ve been to Firehouse a couple of times, and I really want to like the place. The service is about what you would expect at a fast casual sandwich place, and I love the rack of hot sauces, but I just can’t get over a soggy sub. Last time I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and when I got him, which is about 8 minutes away, the bread was soaked, and falling apart. So today I went in, and ordered the same thing, minus the ranch, thinking that might been the culprit, especially on a to-go sandwich. Nope, same soggy mess. I will say, the Chili is not bad, pretty comparable to Pot Belly. But for the price, I’ll take Jimmy John’s, or better yet Beaverton Sub Station. I’ll give this place one more try with a dine-in option before I totally write them off.

I’ve heard many great things about Firehouse Subs, so I finally tried it out and it was a deflating experience. It really isn’t that bad, but it’s not remarkable either, and I’d return to Jimmy Johns before coming back here for food. We also ordered a salad, which they messed the order up, and the salad in the end wasn’t anything special either. I would probably give this place 3 stars for the food alone, because it’s not terrible, but the service at this location also wasn’t the best. It was a bunch of high school students with a great lack of urgency. We waited a bit for our first order, and then quite a bit longer for them to fix the salad order. There were only a couple other people in the store, so I’m not sure what was taking them so long.

I agree with the other reviews — food is good but not a good price. Two combo meals cost us a little over $ 18 and afterwards we went to Five Guys for some fries. The pictures of the sandwiches are deceiving. Cute theme, YAY firemen, I could see little kids liking the décor, but they are definitely adult prices. Glad we tried it, but we can’t afford to eat there regularly.

I’ve been going to firehouse subs since they opened. The service and food has always been great. Nicole the manager is amazing.

Super yummy! I don’t think I’ve had a better sandwich in a real long time. Service was quick and friendly and they have one of those soda machines that have everything. I know, lots of places have em now but it was my first time:) Anyway the New Yorker was excellent… don’t let it sit too long or your bread will get soggyish. Still yummy tho: D

Holy overpriced, batman! The cheapest sub is $ 7! I could get a better steak and cheese about 5 places for half the price. Maybe a small notch above Subway, but way more expensive. I guess it’s ok if you’re rich. Or really into firemen.

If it wasnt for the huge lineup of hotsauce going from 2 – 8 on the burn scale, I would have called it a bust. We ordered the club and meatball sub… not really something you douse your sandwiches with hot sauce kind of choices. Didnt stop me, though. I tried 6 bottles of hot sauces and bbq sauces. They were of nice variety. The«Xtreme» habanero sauce kicked me around several times, until I left it aaron alone. Anyway, our sandwiches were nothing to write home about, but firehouse hotsauces definately made eating the subs a five alarm adventure.

This is my first visit to Firehouse subs on Cedar Hills Drive. Firehouse Subs is another chain sandwich place like Subway, Jimmy Johns and Quiznos and, for that reason, I didn’t have high expectations for Firehouse Subs. One thing that sets Firehouse Subs apart from the others is they sure take their theme seriously: the dining area looks like a firehouse with chrome, red paint, fire axes and firemen’s lockers everywhere, there is a giant mural dedicated to the local fire department on one wall(Tualatin Valley Fire) and there is even a fire prevention tips book located at every dining table! When it came time to order, the cashier even asked me if I wanted to round up my order to the nearest dollar as a donation to the local fire department(I did)! But how was the sandwich? I ordered a meatball sandwich as a comparison since I’ve had meatball sandwiches at the other chain sandwich places. My reaction to my sandwich was I’ve had this sandwich before: the texture and flavor of the bread, tomato sauce, meatballs, cheese and dried herbs was so familiar it elicited memories of bygone Subway meatball sandwiches. For me, the sandwich was virtually a clone. I really felt like I wasted my time. And therein lies the problem. If you live in the Portland area, for about the same amount of money it would cost to go to a chain place you can go to an independent sandwich shop run by a guy who probably has a culinary degree and has made it his life’s passion to make sandwiches. I’ve gone to those places, and you won’t think for a second that your eating a sandwich at a chain restaurant.

Overall I’m a big fan of Firehouse Subs. A friend of mine turned me on to them after he had eaten there in other states before they arrived in Oregon. 90% of the time I eat in the restaurant(and then enjoy a variety of hot sauces… though I have to admit, I’m not sure who assigns the ratings on the hot sauce as the«hot» ones aren’t nearly«hot» enough to deserve the higher ratings… but I do LOVE they have a wide variety of hot sauces to try). Other than 1 to go order, the food quality is VERY good! The service is fantastic! The speed of order fulfillment… amazing! The only thing that has kept me from rating it a «5» star(which I may update in the future) is when doing an internet pre-order they failed to recognize it was for a future time. Instead they made the order immediately… then when I picked it up and took it back to my office the bread was extremely soggy. Hopefully they will be sure to check the information on the tickets when receiving internet orders vs. assuming it should be made immediately. Otherwise I HIGHLY recommend Firehouse Subs. Not only good for you — but good for the community by sharing a portion of their proceeds with local fire fighter causes.

I love a good hoagie. Firehouse does them well and their pickles are a huge plus. The staff here is wonderful. The first time we ate my friend picked up a sandwich for a group of us and didn’t think to ask about the ingredients. One of the potential diners has a pretty severe allergy to soy and any commercially made bread is a very likely culprit for an accidental poisoning. We called to ask if her food might somehow be safe. It wasn’t. The staff handled it beautifully though. They weren’t at all at fault, the food bringing was just being absentminded, but they insisted on apologizing and offering to put something together out of safe options. Our friend was fed and happy. I will note that their company website does say that their food is safe for people with soy allergies because they utilize a FDA loophole that claims highly refined soybean oil isn’t allergenic. Well it is to a lot of people. So watch carefully!

Their salad was meh but the meatball sub was pretty darned tasty. I like the décor and firehouse theme. For those of you who are hot sauce fans — they have a selection unlike anything I have ever seen. They also have one of those crazy Coca-Cola concoction soda machines so if you have ever wanted peach Mellow Yellow you can do that.

Delicious subs! Went today and the owner Stephanie remembered my name and no, I didn’t give them my name for my order. Pretty impressive considering the amount of people they see on a daily basis. Keep up the great work! We’ll be back soon and so should everyone reading this.

Stopped by there today to have lunch with my boy it was busy but after wiping down our own table we had a place to sit. We liked the fireman theme and hat. My only complaint was that I ordered the steamer and it was missing the brisket. Plenty of pastrami though. I will try this place again in the future and update my review. Also liked that they had a variety of drinks to choose from along with a whole bunch of meat. Ha

Can a restaurant be too clean? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but while impressive, the constant sweeping and wiping down was a little distracting, particularly when the place was packed at lunchtime, and also with the large number of tables and chairs placed closely together as well. The cleaning and wiping down never seemed to stop and I just never seemed to feel relaxed. I suspect a better time to eat here in my case is not at high noon or at dinner. With that being said, I really liked the open and very light-filled dining area, and thought the fire house scheme was a fine idea. Each customer is greeted when they enter and when they leave by the very cheerful and friendly staff. I particularly liked that they had their menu not only on boards high above the sandwich prep area, but also had printed paper menus that could be consulted. It seems like lately that menus are placed higher and higher and more difficult and tiresome to read(having to crane one’s neck). Ordering is quick, and sandwiches and other sides are delivered quickly by one of the nice staff members. They have a Coke freestyle machine where you can formulate a drink out of any number of flavors. A fun idea, but really it would help if they put up a list of step-by-step instructions on how to make the machine work efficiently. It is not intuitive, and I’m sure I drove the poor people standing behind me crazy with my trial-and-error attempts to get my drink. I ordered the Cherry Limeade, and one of the young ladies suggested I get some lime wedges and squeeze them into the drink as it was usually too sweet. A great idea which I really appreciated. The sandwiches at Fire House are several notches above Subway and Jimmy Johns. I had the turkey and bacon sub fully loaded(mayo, mustard, lettuce tomatoes, pepper ranch dressing, but no onions) on wheat bread. The bread was fresh and the other ingredients were placed together in such a way that everything was nicely put together without having the meat fall out of the sandwich due to too many and too much in ingredients. The sandwich was tasty and satisfying. I think this is a perfectly fine place to get a good sandwich, definitely far better than Subway and some of the other sandwich competitors, and I appreciate the great customer service and friendliness and the hard work of all the employees in keeping the restaurant super clean.
