This would be my first time; however, I go by it almost every week. I never saw many people there and that usually doesn’t bode well. This diner has ol’American food; sandwiches, burgers, salads, chicken strips and breakfast. I cannot give much detail into breakfast since my grandmother and I got lunch. My meal: Fish and chips with a role and with an oreo shake. I received a side of co-slaw, lemon and butter for the role. I had to ask for tartar sauce. I am not sure if they had vinegar for the fish or not. I didn’t ask nor do I eat fish and chips with it but it wasn’t brought to the table. My grandmothers meal: Rueben sandwich and fries and a diet coke. The fries were either overcooked or the oil was not clean. They were a very very dark brown but not totally burnt. That was both my grandmothers and myself. But they were actual potato fries, not frozen. That being said they were not seasoned in the least; which is fine for me I love the natural potato flavor. However, like I said they were overcooked a bit. My fish was also over-cooked a bit but it still tasted really good. The role however looked like it had been put into a microwave and heated with a small saucer of water. It was wrinkled and didn’t seem fresh. I didn’t eat it so I don’t know how well it tastes.(Not from the appearance, I ate my fries and chips first and got full; The serving size is a good portion). I don’t like coleslaw so I cannot give a sufficient review. The shake was perfect. My grandmother seemed to really enjoy the Reuben sandwich and ate most of it; however, she agreed with me that the fries were overcooked. Service: The waitress was friendly for the most part; she greeted when we walked in with a smile and hello, we seated ourselves. It wasn’t that busy. She came within three minutes of us seated to get our drinks. We received everything within a timely manner. Her service would be a three. She did not give us thorough information on the dish or ask any questions but wrote everything down. For example if I were to ask for the fish and chips she would have mentioned it came with coleslaw as well and a role. She did not; When my grandmother ordered the Reuben the waitress did not ask what she wanted as a side my grandmother had to ask questions as to what we could get or have with our meals and what came with them. Which should be information a waitress should give as we order. Once that was done and we received our food we had to flag her down if we needed anything, she did not come and ask us if we were okay or how our food was. She seemed like the only one there and there were two other tables so she might have been busy or doing something such as stocking. I didn’t see any other staff except maybe main managers and one kitchen staff. The food and shake with drink cost around $ 30.00. The lunch to be honest, I don’t think was worth the price nor the service. WIth $ 30.00 dollars for two we could have gone to Red Robin for better quality given in both. But like I said, that was lunch. The breakfast might be excellent, I have yet to try it or my grandmother and I just received the short straw with server and cook combo. Again it was my first time, but I wasn’t that impressed and I am reluctant to go back and spend $ 30.00 dollars on sub par food and service if it were to happen again.

Only good if you like cold eggs and frozen waffles. Really bad. This was really disappointing and high priced for cold food. It was supposed to include a blueberry waffle. I didn’t see one blueberry. It tasted and looked like a warmed up Eggo waffle. I will never have breakfast there again.

Breakfast all day, and you can tell it’s a focus. Cooked well, and quickly. Attentive service, friendly Sunday brunch atmosphere. Will come again.

Not only did the food come in a decent amount of time the biscuits and gravy are some of the best around especially for the price. Staff member Dani was one of THE best waitresses I have ever experienced. If you’re looking for inexpensive and delicious with the best old fashioned service you want to check this place out. You won’t leave unsatisfied and you’re wallet won’t be to much lighter either. Fantastic service!

I love this place. It’s where I take my family when we feel like going somewhere special. The service is always great. The owners make you feel at home and so very welcome every time we go there. There is so much care put into that place and every meal we have been served. My wife loves that they also serve Pad Thai.

Very great service! Very friendly staff! Clean and good lighting level. Food was above average for a American style diner, nice selection on menu. I will be going back.

Valentine’s Breakfast somewhere new with my Folks. Thought it a good idea to try a new place. It was a-okay. I think it would deserve a Four-Star, but I felt cheated on my meal. So start: entrance, ambiance, décor charming. It’s like an extra-wide box car — airstream trailer — nifty. We found a seat and were greeted promptly. Service was tip-top. The menu was cute — 50’s cartoony with plenty of choices. I saw a special offered — Cinnamon French Toast, Bacon, Eggs for 10.99. Thought the price seemed steep for the venue — I’m not price conscience, but just noted it. They didn’t advertise Mimosa’s, but they had ‘em. It was legit. I didn’t see the champagne split or see the server pour it, but I’m sure it had booze in it. They had really cute articles, adverts from the 30s — 60’s era. A random collection of items for sale on their counter: candies, cookies, thai sauce. Music was appropriate — 50’s — 70’s ballads. My folks food was of good portion and well prepared. My meal — seemed like there was a lot of white space on the plate. I was expecting fat stack of French Toast — but it was slim and wimpy. Had raisins in it — not my favorite. My Dad’s regular French Toast was way better looking. Then to worsen the blow, saw heaps and heaps of food being served to surrounding tables. I guess I ordered the wrong thing. Not like I’m so starving and never get a hot meal, but for 10.99 — I left hungry. Breakfast should be filling and a big treat. Disappointed. Well, there’s always lunch. Oh, and Lastly, my Dad ordered a COMBO and while if you read the print, the prices added up, but 7.29 for French Toast — and w Eggs and Meat added it was 4.99. So, 12.28 for a nice plate of food in a Mediocre diner. Besaw’s or Downtown — understandable, a Beaverton Diner, NOT.

The first time going. The server was cold along with the food. Overpriced for what you get. Not worth going back.

Second time I’ve been in since 3d owner took over. There were 2 Blue Moon Diner restaurants listed on Unilocal(with 2 different addresses, no less) previously and one was listed as closed, I posted on the open one. Looks like Unilocal trashed the one I had reviewed previously because my previous check-ins and reviews are now gone. Anyway, I’m a big fan of chicken-fried steak, if it’s done right. The 1st owners did it pretty well, but I think these guys are even better at it! The coating is crispy, the gravy is flavorful, veggies(broccoli florets and carrot slices) are cooked just right. I really liked mine! Large portion, too. Hubby liked his, too. They’ve added some items since we were here last. Jars with candy, Thai sauces(i only mention those because my previous reviews went bye bye-bye as they were here before), the pop coolers, and the alcohol. Oh, and I think the pies. I had the coconut crème pie. Yum! Had to take it home, large portion there, too. The ambience is definitely diner, but I think this is the only diner shaped and coloured like the old 50s(slip stream looking) diners. Yeah, it’s small and a diner(hence the lack of the 5th star), but it’s top-notch. Great service, clean, and 50s music and décor. I do agree with another Unilocaler who posted the music was too loud. It should be background, not foreground noise. Funny note: There was a gentleman(party of 1) who sat down to dinner who was dressed in a suit and tie. He looked like he was enjoying his food very much, too!

I think I may have become addicted to this place. Great atmosphere and service. Super clean. The food is just like mom used to make. I had meatloaf and my partner had liver and onions. I’m going to come back for breakfast for sure!

I am not sure what happened to their old listing on Unilocal, but it had many good reviews including mine. I guess I shall start over. I have been going to Blue Moon Diner for more than 15 years now and they have had various owners along the way. I really like the newest Owner and her food, best yet in my opinion. We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and have never had a bad meal. The food is excellent and everything is homemade. I really love their Reuben Sandwich and homemade soups. The Meatloaf is one of my favorites, served with homemade mashed potatoes and a homemade roll. My husband loves the chicken mushroom melt and the Thai Chicken Salad. The service has always been outstanding every single time. The place is well kept and very clean. They serve really good coffee as well!

Disturbingly, Blue Moon has a new listing so all of our old reviews went POOF! Including all my awesome food porn photos. That’s just weird. They really did not move. You can still see all the old reviews and photos if you do a Unilocal search. Anyway. Ahem. Blue Moon breakfast is very good. Not perfect. Good. The coffee and juice are adequate. They offer the usual suspects: omelets, waffles, pancakes, benedicts, biscuits and gravy, french toast, and scrambles plus a few interesting items like stuffed hash browns and a Thai curry omelet. They have offered fresh fruit to top french toast etc. for much of the year, which was lovely. Today dining companion got a cooked blueberry compote on the french toast and it was ok. My poached eggs on my benedict were perfectly executed. This is sometimes hard to come by. The white was fully cooked and the yolks were runny. YES! The ham underneath was tasty. The english muffin was nicely toasted and hashbrowns were crispy not greasy, not at all seasoned but that was fine. The Hollandaise was icky, but I’m not a fan so maybe others would like it. I always order it on the side because it’s always a crapshoot. Here it was thick and not lemony. Nope. Not for me. I think breakfast is served all day, which I love. Lunches and dinners are typical diner fare with a few Thai inspired things thrown in. I usually stick to breakfast but I have had sandwiches and potato salad and they were all pretty darn delicious. Another Unilocaler has a meatloaf dinner addiction. I’m planning on trying that soon. Service is friendly and efficient. I like them. The owner lady is friendly and personable. There is outdoor seating for lunch in better weather. Parking is ok. Blue Moon diner is super cute. It’s a quintessential silvery airstream like building decorated in blue, white, and silver. There’s very loud fifties music playing which is fun but too loud. Sometimes we ask to have it turned down. They open for breakfast at 7. Give it a try!

We stop by every once in a while thru the years. There has been many different owners during that time. But the latest owner has had it for the last year and a half or so. I could not figure out why there is only two reviews until I looked closely. Unilocal lists two Blue Moon Diners. One says«moved». It lists 58 reviews with a 3.5 stat rating. The reason two listings is that the diner now has a liquor license and Unilocal must have thought that it was a new restaurant. I rate restaurants for what they are(fine dining, casual, mom and pop, chain/franchise). BUT most of all, cleanliness. The whole time we were there, Toni, the waitress, was scrubbing or wiping down something. At one point we thought she was trying to scrub some paint off. I figure that if the front of the house is that clean the kitchen is too. We stopped in early this week for lunch. It was pretty quiet. We were greeted(very friendly) and told to sit anywhere we liked. Toni promptly took our drink order. When she came back she answered a question and took our order. My wife had the toasted two cheese sandwich w/fries and I had the Ruben w/fries and a cup of soup. My wife loves cheese and she was very happy with her sandwich. The fries were homemade and had just the right amount of salt and crispness to them. My Ruben had the right amount of meat and kraut. The 1000 island dressing was on the side to keep the crispy rye from getting soggy. I liked that idea. Toni stopped by a couple of times to see how we were doing. She stayed one time to chat with us, since we were the only ones left. She told us about the kitchen and how some of the food was prepared and basically how everything is made fresh in their kitchen. I believe her. If you look at some of the pictures posted(on their old site) you can see the creativity. She said that all the burgers are the best around and that comes from customer feedback. I like what Olivia said in her review«Restaurant was clean, service was A+! This isn’t a fancy place, it is a diner, so you will get diner food. So as long as you keep that in mind, you won’t be disappointed!». I cannot say it any better. Don’ t tell me «with little strips of sub-par corned beef, instead of a proper diced corned beef.» What is proper? Its up to the chef! We will be back. PS, there are no signs on TV Highway. Look towards the NW corner of the parking lot, if it is sunny you won’t miss it.

First time here in a long time, but it feels like it did before. Our server(Meredith) was very friendly and attentive, and our coffee never went below half full. I ordered the stuffed hashbrowns and was impressed at the serving size(truth be told I wasn’t able to finish). My fiancé ordered the pancakes and they were light and fluffy, just like mom used to make. We will definitely be back for more…

I came in one morning while having my car fixed. The establishment was very tidy, and was able to sit down right away. The place has an old-school diner vibe to it. The waitress was nice and tried to be attentive, even when it seemed as she was the only one working the floor. I tried the Blue Moon Stuffed Hash Browns. The portion was very large and I actually had to take home half of it. The taste was pretty good. I would say that my food was a step above Denny’s, or so. As long as you don’t set your expectations too high, I think the place can be pleasantly surprising. It would be a place I would recommend trying if you want some breakfast and have not been here before.

So cute. So cute. Old fashioned in every way, from the décor to the menu and music. Food as good– carious fried items(fries, hashbrowns, onion rings etc) were crispy and light. Omelettes were good and nicely portioned. The pancakes were quite the disappointment, but considering how lovely everything else was, that’s minor. The server was a nice and patient woman; I say patient because our group asked questions(we’d never been here before) and she didn’t seem annoyed at all. Granted, it was anything but crowded, but still. She was nice. A bit slow to bring things, but sweet and we were never specifically without anything. We’ll definitely go back.

Still a fan of the place but do NOT order the corned beef breakfast. It looked straight out of the can and I was soo disappointed. Hash browns were still fluffy and it was great sipping on Thai Iced Coffee while breakfasting. There are other yummy things on the menu. Try a special.

Amazing atmosphere, diligent and attentive owner. Sweet lady and great food, we were recommendEd to go by friends in the Netherlands and they were right on spot! The food was plenty, tasty and well presented. The owner told us food was made from scratch(when asking about the sausage gravy for the chicken fried steak) coffee was strong but good! Iced tea light and refreshing. My only disappointment was in a diner setting like a mom and pop place I anticipated fresh jams and jellies in dishes, not pull top single serves. But I still give it a solid 5 stars!!! Love that it is a locals hang out too, the owner referred to many patrons by name! Love that personal welcome. Wish we lived closer to frequent it more often. I would be a regular too.

Thank goodness for new owners. This place is amazing! Every Sunday we come and have breakfast. I always get something different, and it never disappoints. Defiantly our regular spot. The waitress is an absolute delight! She works hard and every time we come in. Only comparable to the chef! He’s always getting our orders fast and fresh :) Just love this place. Ideal as far as mom and pop goes.

Amazingly fresh food in a cute little diner, out where you wouldn’t expect one. Clean surroundings, friendly staff, fun menu and they serve breakfast all day! This is one of our favorite places to have dinner or breakfast-for-dinner when we want something casual. Perfect diner menu with all of the standard burgers, sandwiches, salads and delicious shakes and malts with cascade glacier ice cream. Yum!

Visited today for the first time. Had a BLT and a Reuben. Great portion size, fries were crisp and fresh tasting. Loved the Thai iced tea as well. Décor was cute, like a 50’s diner with appropriate music and uniforms. Place was very clean as well. Highly recommend!
