I’ve been coming to this joint off and on for the last 4 years, and I tell ya, it never gets old. This hidden masterpiece serves up the best quality cuisine for the price range they charge. They tend to always be under staffed, but your patience will pay off tremendously when you receive your food. My friends tend to swarm to this place regularly just for drinks, but this location has won my heart because of their amazing service and delicious food made from pure integrity. If you live in this neighborhood you should stop here continously. Plus, Walt is a very kind gentleman that has a heart of gold… Hopefully that’s the kat that serves you.

Some bars can feel intimidating when you first walk in, not this one. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. Coffee is definitely a light breakfast blend which I enjoyed. Ordered the breakfast bargain. Excellent country potatoes, delicious scrambled eggs, good ham steak and a properly toasted well buttered english muffin. All for $ 4.95. Lunch and dinner menus look good, I will be back to try everything

Went in for dinner and could not get a table to eat at the place is so small only a few tables on the side when you walk in and a few in the middle of room right smack dab against the pool table. Which takes up half the bar I’m not kidding you try eating with some guy so close to you have to dodge the pool cues so you don’t get hit in the head. The outside patio is bigger than the bar.

It’s been about a year and thought I could let this go, but can’t. Last summer we called and asked if we could sit with our dog in the outside smoking area. Person said yes as long as dog was a service dog. We arrived, ordered food and drink only to be met w/manager who asked for our papers on the dog certifying he was a service dog. We do not carry the papers w/us, nor did we have the dogs jacket that day. «Manager» said the dog was not allowed on the patio w/o us producing papers. 1: Very unprofessional of «manager». 2: Is it even legal to ask for proof of service animal? 3. Have not been back since. 4. Will NOT go back. Even if legal to ask for service animal documentation.

This used to be my favorite place. Close to home and good service and food. But just can’t say the same anymore. Sat down and never got served. Finally got up and left and probably won’t ever go back. So sorry this place has gone down hill.

Server was good. Only thing that was good. Other than that food was super bland and just not worth the price we paid. Another we will not return place for us.

I used to come here at least once a weekend for brunch, but after the last 10 times or so, I don’t think we’ll be going back. In the past year, the service has really gone downhill. We have been ignored for over 30 minutes, placed our order and then told that they forgot to put it in after waiting for an hour, and just generally not treated well. It’s a super bummer because I love their food(especially their burgers) and Bloody Mary’s.

I tried to come to this place around 8:30 last night and there were two very drunk people having a disagreement, blocking the front of the door. They were making quite a scene and had me wondering where security was. I asked them to move and walked in. There was nothing but age 40+ people inside, which is fine… if that’s what you’re looking for. I was disappointed.

Maxwell’s is a pretty average neighborhood bar– for Beaverton. It smells like fried food, has a crowd of regulars attached in a symbiotic relationship to the bar, and serves a strong drink. Not really a place for ambience though.

The food is terrible, and they wouldn’t let me have my service animal on the porch. Legally, I don’t think they’re allowed to ask for«papers», and they did after telling me I couldn’t have my dog outside. I’ll never be coming back here.

My honey and I live right next door, so we come in a lot. Wonderful atmosphere, good prices and the best staff. Maxwells is a great place to come with the hole gang or just your sweetie.

After nearly a 3 year hiatus, Jonna B. and I returned home to Hillsboro and stopped by Maxwell’s for a cold libation. Guy the bartender who was not working that day even recognized us and greeted us with a big smile and a warm hug. They serve an excellent rendition of Eggs Benedict on Sundays. Same great neighborhood bar, fortunately some things never change. Maxwell’s is truly as good as it gets!

I have been here several times(I have a friend who lives in the area). Drinks, food, and service are always on point. They have huge burgers and a great happy hour menu(standard bar fare, nothing exquisite, but absolutely perfect for a sports bar). What makes this bar amazing is the older gentleman server(Walt? Maybe?). He always has a joke, is super attentive, when we ordered more than we could carry(drinks for people at the table), he offered to bring us everything. I can’t say enough good things about him or this bar!!! Definitely a great place to stop and eat, drink, watch a game, enjoy good company!

This place sucks! The waitress was rude… waited at least 10 minutes for service. Had never been here before but thought since it was a sports bar we would be able to watch any football game on. Once our order was taken we asked if the Green Bay game could be put on. We were told sure. When it wasn’t put on we asked again and was told very rudely I might add that all the games were on and we just needed to figure out which TV and to «get over it» at that point we canceled our order and left for Coaches… which had awesome service and EVERY game was on without needing to ask. Now that is what needs to happen in a sports bar on Footbal Sunday! Maxwells you should learn some lessons from Coaches.

They have a great burgers, tasty fries(never soggy), very reasonably priced food(my wife loves their breakfasts) and the staff are great!

I went with a group of friends on a Saturday morning. It took 10 minutes to get the waitress to get to the table. She asked for everyone’s ID and then didn’t come back for another 10 minutes to take the order. She did not provide service with a smile and seemed annoyed that she had to be doing her job. The mardi gras decorations on the wall seem out of place as the whole place had the stench of mediocrity and death. I would recommend Maxwell’s to anyone who hates themselves.

I came here recently for food and drinks. I prefer the booth seating and fortunately there was one available. My past experiences here have been mixed. Service can be slow and seems to favor the regulars. Nothing wrong with being good to your regulars but don’t forget us non-regulars too. This time around we had someone else working that we hadn’t seen before. It could just be due to the shift because service was better. I ordered a polish dog served Maxwell style. It’s delicious. I recommend it. The sweetheart ordered just the regular dog, Chicago style and he enjoyed it. We thought the food took a little long considering it’s two hotdogs with toppings. All in all, it was a fine time with the sweetheart. They have good daily food deals. The food is fine. Nothing spectacular but it’s not crappy either.

Well, had to go in here today after I found out it was a 30 minute wait at Toshi’s. I was not impressed with thier food at all. My DH ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered the potato skins which were gross! They were too full of grease and they did not taste good. DH ordred a salad too which was also did not taste good the lettuce was wilted etc. Overall, the food value was poor, the drink however was not and I was quite pleased with that. I had a Monopolova on the rocks with a lemon. was decent. That is always what I order. I wasn’t happy to eat lunch here for sure. I don’t mind drinks here or just bellying up to the bar, but food is marginal at best. I was glad they had IPA tap for the DH, some of the places we have been visting lately haven’t been to keen on the beer scene. Like I said for drinks only and I’ll be back. I have been in here a couple of times but won’t eat here again.
