Went here for lunch after multiple people recommended it me and my best friend. This was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I ordered the Elvis got the blues burger. Everything was delicious, from the perfectly cooked patty to the creamy bleu cheese to the crisp bacon. Next time I’m in town, I would definitely come back.

Great little tavern to pop into that have a large variety of beers. Tuesday is burger day so we came in because our friend suggested that we try it. For starters I had a dozen fresh oysters which were a very decent size and were delicious. For my main I had the lamb burger which was served on a herb panini style bread that was served with arugula, feta and another cheesy sauce and a juicy mouth watering lamb Patty cooked medium and a serving of the truffle fries. My husband had the Baja wrap which had a beef patty, jalapeños and a coleslaw. That too was excellent it had the right amount of bite and it was served with sweet potato fries. our server was pretty good and made sure that we were looked after! This place is definitely worth checking out in Fells Point! :)

Great little tavern with good food and a great staff. We only went a few times for brunch and they literally know us by name. Stop in if you are hungry and in the neighborhood.

I have had good experiences before, that’s why I’m giving them a 3 star review now. My girlfriend and I recently went out to get some appetizers and a couple drinks before the New Years insanity. The place was about half full. We ordered the calamari and the crab dip. Now I have to admit, I ate the calamari, however it felt slightly undercooked and chewy. It needed more time in the fryer. Now the crab dip, that was a $ 14 dollar bowl of cream cheese with old bay and scallions in it. We told the server, and she took it back to the manager saying she’d let him know. Never asked if we wanted anything else and came back 15 minutes later saying the manager had removed it from the bill. When we got the check it was still there. We had to have them remove it again and took off to start the night underwhelmed and still hungry.

Right in the heart of Fells Point in Charm City overlooking the harbor, sorta. The water is actually across the street and if you’ve come here for the view, you’re in the wrong place. Kooper’s is all about the ambiance and the burgers(at least, at lunch). I showed up here to meet a business colleague. and it was hoppin’ No matter. The bartender was friendly and got me seated at a high table near the bar. Even though she was working the bar, she was also super attentive to us. The burger was great. Prepared perfectly and really tasty. I’ve never been here at night but I can imagine it really rocks and it has that combination of perfect neighborhood watering hole and welcoming atmosphere for the occasional tourist. Definitely a place to have a bite to eat or something to drink.

My review is based on Burger Night. The burger night is Tuesday. You can get burgers and fries for $ 9. The lamb burger is my favorite. I have tried to design my own burger as well, however, the combinations they provide are better than what I could come up with. The bartenders are always friendly and provide great service. Don’t get their burgers on another night because it will cost substantially more.

Nice cozy laid back bar with tasty food, strong cocktails, and excellent tap beer selection. Service always been friendly, attentive, if a times a bit overwhelmed– but never a major issue! Heavy Seas IPA on tap– mmmm! House brew decent, but Heavy Seas tops it! Burgers are my go too– hand formed, cooked to order, fresh tasty rolls, fresh veggies, melt cheese, crisp bacon… Mmmmm– can never pass up the burger!!! Fries rule too! I really like their sweet potato fries– crispy, sweet, but a good hint of salt. Appetizers are were we get creative– crab dip, mussels, fried goat cheese all excellent! My wife loves the salads– though the taco salad has no greens at all! But is full of veggies — they are just cooked! Very tasty. This is good, simple, stick to your ribs bar fare done well.(We live closer to Mays Chapel location– we like that one a lot too!)

Koopers is fine — they have a decent beer selection and OK food. Thankfully their kitchen is open a bit later during the week, which works out great with my work schedule. You can grab some good food specials most nights of the week.

To be fair this is a 2.5 review. Pros: Beer is always fresh. Buck a shuck $ 1 per raw oyster on the shell on weekend afternoons(outside, cash only) is very good. Very good burgers. Cons: Service rarely comes with a smile. Bartenders are efficient and available, as are wait staff but don’t expect a super friendly bunch at all. Oh, and this is not a one-time visit review — this is based on several visits. Put it this way, it’s as if you showed up to a friend’s house unannounced at 8 am on their day off and asked them to make you a drink and cook you a meal. Re: appearance and access: Street parking, outdated interior, and narrow spot.

I came here on a summer night to people watch and have a bite to eat. Located right in the heart of Fells point. Kooper’s Tavern is a local spot were you can get a live band, a strong drink and good grub. I had the Tavern chicken and the truffle fries, truffle fries would be my last meal if I had a request. There truffle fries sure didn’t disappoint, the Tavern chicken was pretty good, the batter for the chicken was a little bland but the actual chicken was tender and juicy. The Siracha aioli and the thick pieces of bacon were slammin. If the space is available definitely sit outside, there is so much entertainment walking pass you could call it dinner and a show.

Kooper’s claimed to have great burgers, and they didn’t disappoint. Crowded on a weekday around lunch — good sign, but they were able to fit our party of 4 right in. My eyes were immediately drawn to the huge fridges filled with chilled bottled beers. Hello friends! We shared a calamari appetizer, light and crispy with lemons and sprinkled Old Bay with some draft beers(plenty of those as well). I ordered Billy’s Wagyu burger — a Wagyu beef patty with plenty of bacon and arugula. The bacon brought the salt and the crunch, and the arugula the pepper and a creamy texture to a delicious patty. The fries were good as well, crispy and smooth, seasoned well and not overcooked. Our waitress was great, kept us happy with filled beverages and extra sauces throughout our meal. Lacy had the blackened grouper sandwich with avocado — apparently they’re good at non-burger items as well. My only complaint? Cooper is spelled with a ‘C’ — or else I’d be Timothy K! Actually, don’t really care how they spell it — I would go to Quewhopears Tavern as long as they make them that good!

Kooper’s is alright. I’ve never been blown away by their food, but I have no reason to complain either. The last time I was here was for brunch with my boyfriend and our dog. He got the chicken and waffles and I got the smoked turkey sammy. No complaints from me(or my dog who really enjoyed my bits of bacon) but my boyfriend wasn’t too impressed with his meal. The waffles were okay but the chicken was more fried than chicken. They have daily specials and a pretty okay happy hour. Service is kind of spotty, waitresses seem to be more attentive than the bartenders.

Came for brunch and sat at the bar. Service was ok, had to catch the bartenders attention once or twice for a refill. Ordered the crab and asparagus omelet which was divine. Seriously good food here. Although the bar didn’t seem crowded our food took awhile to come out. The manager was very friendly and made small talk. We liked him. :)

Awesome food, great service, chill vibe. Ordered the Baja burger, turned out to actually be a wrap but was not disappointed. The jalapeño ranch had added that nice kick to it. Burger patty was cooked nicely, medium rare, which is what I asked for. The chips were probably a perfect sidekick to the burger. Wasn’t a huge fan of their in house beer, but as my friend said, when you come to koopers, you gotta have their beer. Their wait staff was friendly, warm and inviting. Will definitely come back whenever I’m in the fells area

Kooper’s is a great classic Baltimore bar and best of all it’s right on Thames across from the water. I always have great food and great service when I’m here. The atmosphere can’t be beat as long as you’re down for that pub feel. Kooper’s is not«polished» or trendy in any way. Food specials are great. They have daily specials with discounts and a good happy hour. If you’re looking for a bar on the water with great food in a great location, I definitely suggest checking out Kooper’s.

he burgers at Koopers Tavern are delicious, there’s no denying that. But seeing as it was before noon and my friend and I were looking to try something other than our Fells Point go-to, The Point, we decided to try brunch at Koopers. My friend was in the mood for a basic brunch and opted for the Lox & Bagels. This dish was pretty straight forward, my friend received a bagel with lox, cream cheese, diced tomato, diced onions, and fresh fruit. My friend really loved this and said it satisfied her craving, but I’m a native New Yorker, I’m hesitant to try any bagels in the area that aren’t from THB. I was in the mood for something with eggs so i decided to order the Corned Beef Hash. Last year I loved it at Woodberry Kitchen and I was curious about what Koopers Tavern had to offer. This dish came with corned beef hash topped with two poached eggs and a side of fruit and toast. I loved how the runny eggs mixed with the corned beef and I will without a doubt be back to order this dish again. If you’re looking for brunch in Fells Point, head over to Koopers Tavern, you’re sure to find something awesome!

I had 2 distinct experiences here all from one visit. Took my mom and aunts out for belated mothers day drinks. Unfortunately we were a little late for unlimited mimosas but they had $ 5 margaritas which were very good. The place is all dark woods it really gives you the old school pub and they have nice outdoor seating. Our first waitress was really nice and so cute! She got us all squared away with drinks and appetizers. Margaritas were good. They ran out of natty boh and the shot of vodka one of my aunts requested was definitely half a shot –__– The truffles fries were to die for and not too greasy. The crab dip was cheesy and seasoned well i wish they didnt stray from the classic bread served with crab dip normally because the pretzel bread was dry and didnt compliment the dip well. After the appetizers came another waitress. We didn’t have a heads up our first waitress was leaving so it was odd when she just came up and asked for our orders with no introduction. I had the lamb burger with feta on an herb ciabatta bread. Other than the bread being to big for the burger which is a pet peeve of mine the lamb was cooked to the medium I requested and the fries were hot and crispy My aunts had some issues one didn’t get the jalapeños that were supposed to be one her burger and another aunt requested different bread. The new waitress was a little stand offish when these requests were made. Like i mentioned before the margaritas were good and i wish i could have had another one but i think our waitress just wasnt feeling our table because we would ask her one thing and she would jet away from the table without seeing it we needed anything else. I didn’t have high hopes for this place it was really one of the only places open durinf memorial day that wasnt crowded so we could bring kids. but outside of bar hopping i wouldn’t come back here

We were looking for a lunch spot and it was Tuesday. After trolling through Fells Point, having read some Unilocal reviews and eaten crab a couple times already… we decided on the Tuesday’s Build Your Own Burger, starting at $ 5. I decided on the Angus topped with crab dip and arugula slaw. After realizing that I topped my burger with wet and wet, I was fortunate that they served the burger open faced… so I scraped the slaw off and ate it as a side. I did scrape some excess crab dip, which was perfect for my Old Bay Kettle Chips side. This burger definitely was delicious with the soft bun. Another plus is the weather was perfect to eat Al Fresco… soaking up some of that sunshine.

Nice spot in Fells! With the Baltimore curfew going on, a lot of local businesses that thrive on late-night service have been hit hard so a friend and I decided to go to Fells after work yesterday to support some local businesses and stopped by Kooper’s for some burgers. The location is great with a lovely view of the waterfront and on a nice day, it’s great to sit outside. There are specials every day and yesterday(well, Thursdays in general) is Belgian beer day. Great deals on a nice variety of Belgian beers — I got a glass bottle of Hoegaarden for $ 3.50. They have a wide selection for burgers(even Bison meat) and you can build your own, which is what I chose to do. My friend previously had the lamb burger which he said was great but we both went for turkey patties; bad decision! The turkey patty for both my friend and I were flavorless and even my add ons on bacon, truffle arugula, sharp provolone, and fried egg didn’t help out with that. It would have been great if I had opted for the lamb or Angus patty base. Additionally, the portions are pretty big — a friend ordered the Garden salad as a starter and by the time he finished he was struggling to finish our actual order. I substituted my french fries for a salad as well and was not a huge fan. It is basically mixed greens with two cucumber slices and a diced tomato with your choice of dressing so I made an additional order of truffle fries which tasted wonderful! The portion was big for an appetizer as well and even with my friend and I both munching on them, we had some left over to take home. Definitely good for sharing. Overall this place is a good stop especially for their beer selection — will come back to try a better burger since the turkey was a let down.
