Possibly the meanest staff I have EVER experienced. Yes, I went around 10 pm, but that is NO excuse. I am a paying customer and I deserve the same amount of respect that I am giving you. First of all, the bar tenders seemed very agitated and annoyed with me that I didn’t tell him what I wanted to order in the whole .9 seconds that he was standing in front of me. The people that I was with ordered gin and tonics, they wanted more gin, and the bar tender kept ignoring them. They were happy to pay more for more gin… When the bar tender finally came up to us he took it very personally that they wanted more gin so he yelled«Fine, here’s you F****** gin!!» Squeezed gin into their cups, splashing it everywhere, which got all over me. The only thing I wanted was an apology, but all I got was a snarky«uhhh I’m sorry?» With a bit of an eye roll. He gave me a fire ball shot for free but I didn’t need to be compensated the way a frat guy would. All I wanted was a sincere apology.

Overpriced beer but I guess they have to pay waterfront rent. Nice that they have live music but other then that a below average bar.

Checked in here for one drink because I didn’t want to go back to the hotel. It wasn’t even that crowded, but I had to wait like five minutes for the bartender to get my order. I ordered the house brew«Admiral’s Lager». It was basically a glorified Miller and cost $ 7.50. Also, for a place that wasn’t that crowded, it was still really loud. Hardly anyplace to sit. No thanks.

This is a great bar for an older but still rambunctious crowd on the weekends. There’s a tall padded bench in the back that screams«sit here and people watch, because it’s going to get GLORIOUS!», and it never leads me astray. That totally makes me sound crazy, but hey– keeps life interesting. Between the decent enough live music and the endless entertainment of the bar crawlers, this place is spot-on in my book.

Good place for drinks with friends. Great place for first time if coming to Baltimore and did not know where to go. :) Fun bands usually and you can usually get a drink fast.

There isn’t really a lot of options on the menu, but the oysters were great and I would definitely try some. Service was kinda slow but we weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a huge problem. It’s a good place for a lazy lunch as long as you’re not super hungry.

We went here on a Saturday night and the bartenders were the worst we’ve EVER experienced. They were so obviously drunk, giving away free drinks and shots to their friends before catering to their actual paying customers. Get it together!

Unless you’re a cute chick good luck getting served. The bands are good but stuck in the early 2000s. Overall long wait for nothing.

Great happy hour selections! I loved the«loose cannon» beer for 50% off during the weekdays. I’ve also sat outside with my dog before and they were extremely dog friendly– they offer seating outside with a great view of the harbor. Even in the summer time there’s a really great breeze from the water and even some live music on the street. Definitely come by for a chill time!

The ONLY thing this place has is a fairly good location. Let’s face it, if someone goes to a bar(beer hole) and the staff doesn’t vomit on you the first couple of times you’d’ most likely call it «awesome» or «the best» after all we hate not having a local spot to brag about. The Admural’s Cup(in their defense this is only my opinion though corrobarated by at least 3 dozen other locals I know) is a dense concentration of’ discrimination and lack of any social skills, or character. If you are a frequent patron you either haven’t noticed, don’t care what a bad choice that is OR you subscribe to a culture of racism, rudeness and poor product quality. No one can stop cranky and marginal folks from operating or working at service establishments but we can certainly make better choices, especially in Fells Point where you can’t spit and not hit a place that sells beer or a place that does not hate on tourists(which incidentally keeps them open), and demand to see a VISA if a person presents a passport as form of ID which I suspect is illegal and warrants a DOS inquiry… This will need to stop IF this city wants to shake off the stigma of violence, segregation, dangerous, and being a pimple in the ass of DC. In the opinion of at least a couple of confirmed hundred Bmore citizens, businesses that depend of money from the public especially tourism must stop the punk attitude or treat others at least with civility. You have been made.

This place is incredibly racist. My friends have tried to go there and I’ve gone there with my boyfriend(who is from Ukraine by the way). If English is not your first language avoid this place like the plague. It’s loud outside and if they ask you how much you’ve had, how you’re doing… Etc and you don’t hear what they said the first time, they will immediately deny you. Heads up, some people in Baltimore don’t speak English as their first language, AND it’s especially hard to understand your bouncers outside your loud bar.

Loved it! Their local craft beer selection is great, and if you’re not sure what you want, the bartenders make great suggestions. They’ll let you taste test if you ask nicely =) Everyone was super friendly, and both of the bands were great! It seems like most of the«meh» reviews for this place were for the food/food service, which we did not have, so I can’t comment on that, but if you’re looking for some good beer, and a fun, friendly vibe, look no further!

A big group of my friends and I went to Admirals Cup for Brunch. Right when we sat down we asked if we could have separate checks. We understood this was a little challenging but that is why we informed her right at the beginning. The waitress was extremely rude about this topic, her words were, «it’s extremely annoying and irritating» I almost had my group get up and leave right then. I am a waitress myself, I would never talk to a customer like that. When we got our food it tasted cheap and basic. My crab mac and cheese tasted like nothing. We ordered sides that did not come out until we were almost done eating because the waitress did not put the order in. It was hard work to get Mimosa refills. The soup tasted like it was from a can. My friends omelet that should have had spinach, had lettuce in it. Yes I said lettuce, yuck. The bartender and hostess were both nice and tried to make things right but honestly we all just wanted to get out of there. I will never come back to this again.

One visit this last weekend: On entry the place looked a bit vacant — 730 or so PM, but a solo guitar player was there and he was excellent. So we stayed in the dinner area over on the left of the entry way. At 9:30 Black Falls band came on and their mid-80’s covers and other presentations were superb. Food was okay for a bar establishment in the Fell’s Point area(there are great restaurants there but none that I know of with live music at this level). The server we have was very helpful, fun, and competent. She answered questions about the group, the«Cup,» and both musical groups. This will be a go-to destination for our next visit when we can time it for Black Falls or another group of this caliber. Obviously, this location on the corner of Thames and the harbor is part of the«tourist» area — but they do it well without being«divey» and disrespectful of people coming to the city. f8 and be there.

Okay, I’ve been here a few times, but never felt really compelled to write a review before. I had a BLT of some sort once when they first opened that was good. The bottomless mimosas on the weekends are a good deal. The view is great. I like that they have outdoor heaters for those days when it’s really too cold to eat outside but you really want to anyway. That’s all from my past experiences… Yesterday, we went in in the afternoon while wandering around Fells shopping and such. Managed to get UMD football on the TV although it took a while. Service was fine, atmosphere is good, I love the renovations. Then we ordered wings. Not good. I LOVE chicken wings. When I break my diet to eat them, I want it to be worth it. These were not. They were soggy. Maybe they weren’t fried, I’m down with that, but they should be broiled longer if so, because they were not crispy at all. It’s easy to get a crispy texture without frying if that’s what they’re trying to do, which I definitely dig. The sauce was pretty good, but nothing too special. Not enough celery by far. They were meaty, but no where near meaty enough to justify $ 12 price tag. Overall, a big disappointment. After finishing our beers, we met our biggest disappointment… the beer prices. $ 7 for Blue Moon & Sam Adams drafts? Really? No. That’s crazy. $ 7 for the Full Tilt and Dogfish and all those other beers that I never order because I can’t keep track of what type of beer I’m going to get, okay, maybe. But for Blue Moon and Sam? At least put the price on the menu so I can just order a Boh or maybe wine or a cocktail if I want to splurge, instead of spending $ 7 on a boring beer and being surprised about it.

Visited on a hot Saturday afternoon for lunch. It’s a great place if you want something really casual, reasonably priced, and a cold drink. Most of the other people were there for the bar, but the food menu is nothing to scoff at. The BALT sandwich was pretty good — putting avocado on anything usually makes me pretty happy. Everyone else at the table got some sort of crab, and everyone was really impressed. They hadn’t expected much considering this place is more of a bar than a restaurant, but they were all pretty pleased with the quality. Crab cake, crab cake sandwich, and crab mac & cheese were all up to par. The drinks were a little pricey. I was a little miffed when my overpriced Blue Moon came out in a plastic cup. If it wasn’t for that I would be more likely to hang out there more often.

This is not the same Admiral’s Cup from 10 years ago — it’s completely remodeled inside. I mainly go here because I know several of the bartenders from other spots in the neighborhood. They have a great beer selection and the good musicians during the week. The menu is OK but their drink prices are among the highest in Fells. Lastly if you’re looking for brunch keep walking they’re are probably a dozen better options in Fells in terms of food, at least they got the all you can drink part right.

Can’t speak for the food as we were only stopping in for a few drinks at the bar. They do have stout on tap and their chocolate stout was pretty awesome. The fact that they have outdoor seating when the weather is warmer would be a big plus. Bartenders are all pretty cool and live music is always something to appreciate.

Weekday lunch, they clearly really wanted some customers, the manager was standing at the door chatting people up. It’s right near the water at kinda the main Fell’s Point parking lot. We walked past the bar, a square room with a bar in the middle, and sat in the small back room, which is so small that the whole room is ‘near the kitchen door. We ordered a beer sampler and a smoked salmon appetizer, which came out promptly, and our waitress was very friendly and knew the menu well. They had a good selection of local beers in the sampler(see pic), and we ordered lunch next. I had a seafood quesodilla, which was kinda too soggy and fell apart. The chunks of seafood were too big, and seasoning was lacking for a quesodilla. We also tried a crab cake sandwich, which was tasty, and a crab mac n’ cheese, which was not that crabby or cheesy, kinda unimpressive. We weren’t upset by our meal or anything, but the Admiral’s Cup definitely settles into an A-OK ranking.

This is only for the bar. I didn’t have an ounce of food here. This is a nice place for drinking. They have maybe 8 taps of local beer, which is a nice touch. It’s easy to get in and out of, the service is good, and it’s around everything. I suggest coming in for a drink(bottomless Mimosas during brunch on Sunday) to get off your feet.
