We made reservations for 7 pm, and couldn’t make it there until 7:30 pm. The restaurant was very understanding of the traffic, and prepped our table ahead of time. Because it was a large group of people, we were lucky to try almost all the items offered for restaurant week. Top 3 dishes we ordered were the Taramasalata(a little fishy, but very flavorful), Spanakopita and Saganaki(MUSTGET! It’s a cheese that they basically set on fire in front of you). They also offered amazing complementary pita bread with dip. The entrees were however a little too salty for our tastes. The main entrees couldn’t compare to how good the dips and appetizers were. The baklava was very tasty and the presentation was nice as well.

Came here with a group for happy hour and was very happy with our restaurant choice. This is a great place to share a bunch of food with a group. Each member ordered 2 plates and there was more than enough food. Wine bottles were half priced; we chose a cabernet blend and it was delicious. The restaurant is trendy and nice inside. Service was excellent and food came out quickly. They sent the food out starting with the appetizers and vegetables then moving to the food. When he heard there was a birthday at the table, he brought complimentary cheesecake, which I highly recommend. Hits: Mac and cheese, steak, squash salad, brussel sprouts Meh: Fig hummus, spicy lamb, zucchini fritters, beet salad Flops: Pork belly, pork tenderloin

Food: 3.5 Service: 3 Ambiance: 3 Value: 4 Came here for Bottomless Brunch on the later side of a Sunday. $ 30 buys you unlimited small plates, mimosas are 1 cent! Come hungry. The Spicy Lamb Benedict was the group favorite, with great smokey charred outside, a bit of heat, and a perfectly poached egg, but the English muffin on the bottom was a throwaway. Nutella waffles has gobs of Nutella and a mound of whipped cream. Chicken sage sausage was savory with a sprinkling of tangy pickled onions. The Steak and Eggs was variable — one order was a perfect medium rare and tender, the other two were well done and starting to get chewy. Gyro hash was okay, though the clear egg white on the poached egg was a little too undone for our liking. The French toast and banana fritters were pretty good, a little dense though so it’ll fill you up. The Cava home fries were the least impressive, really just a wetter cubed potato hash. All in all the meal was tasty, and we all loved the tapas style and sharing. As you can tell, we essentially ate the entire menu($ 30 well spent!), and food was flying out of the kitchen amazingly fast. It was jam packed when we went, leading to the only downside of this place — it was super noisy, could hardly hear across the table. Regardless, we will definitely be returning!

Heard the brunch here was pretty dope. You see I am a fan of brunch, because where else can you drink before 5p and not be judged? Exactly. Enter thee CM… located on Fleet, pretty easy to spot from the road. Street and garage parking are available. I’d suggest the garage as it was much cheaper and you got more time. The interior is nice, IMHO slightly tight in some instances… I LIVE like really live, I mean like I enjoy life, and I simply elevate upon consumption of the libations. Our neighboring tables were too close and didn’t appreciate my hmmmm flair. Ha! Dude, life is meant to be lived. Enjoy it. Anywho, brunch options are pretty dope. You get a choice of unlimited small plates and one cent(now what now) mimosas. Keep in mind, it’s an all or nothing type of situation. Rather all your table will get it or suffer suckers. After ordering just about everything, I have come to the conclusion that everything was awesomesauce. From smoked salmon, frittata, PORKBELLY(chile), breffis burritto, steak and eggs… yada yada yada. I could go on, but you totally get the idea. The mimosas were nicely done, but I tend to prefer mine with less OJ. or juice. nevertheless both the OJ and the cider selections where pretty stellar. Service…Yanni(I hope that’s how you spell it) #heyboo. He needs an award. He was pretty dope and was able to keep up with me and my friend’s request. When I go back, I’m requesting his section. Yum! Have at it.

Arguably one of the best brunches that I have experienced in Baltimore. It’s $ 30 per person, plus 1 cent to add bottomless mimosas to your brunch. Every person in your party must opt to participate in order to make your brunch bottomless, but it is well worth the price. You get your choice of grapefruit or orange mimosas and the drinks are fairly strong. I’d recommend the orange mimosas over the grapefruit mimosas since I thought the grapefruit mimosas tasted more sour than sweet. The all-you-can-eat brunch has an array of brunch items, most of which include eggs. Some favorites of mine were the french toast, the greek yogurt, and the pork belly and eggs. Service was great for such a packed house. My server always made sure my glass was topped off whenever he came around. Truly a bottomless brunch experience.

This brunch… listen, just go! There are so many amazing dishes to try. Some I’d like to share a pic of but I can’t because we didn’t take any, we just devoured every plate that came to the table. From the hash, to the benedicts — lamb, salmon… the frittata, the steak and eggs, the smoked salmon, the crispy pork, I mean every dish was amazing. And they have a $ 30pp option of unlimited small plates which is totally worth it. Every one at the table must select this option though, disclaimer. They have mimosas for a penny. That’s right, 1¢. They have a regular mimosa, one with grapefruit juice and another with apple cider. All good! And flowing. This visit was for brunch, I plan to return for a lunch or dinner and try the other small plates they have and will update my review at that time. But seriously, go… park at the $ 3 garage around the corner from the restaurant if you plan on fellowshiping for awhile, if not do pay to park on the street. The restaurant is crisp and nicely laid out. About 3 or 4 single bathrooms in the back, just spacious and clean. Oh and our waiter, amazing. It’s totally worth your time, so go.

I heard a lot about Cava Mezze, whether it was friends or Unilocalers alike. I decided to finally take my chance by going to the location in Baltimore. If you are going during the night, it can be hard trying to locate CM; just know that the restaurant is right next to Nando’s Peri-Peri. I made a reservation beforehand for a Saturday night experience, but it really was not needed. The ambiance of Cava Mezze can be described in two words: clean and classy. There will be two… nah…three things that I remember from Cava Mezze: the damn Cava Mac ‘N Cheese, those damn lamb chops, and that damn spicy volcano drink(if someone has the ‘proper’ name, let me know). Let’s speak on the lamp chops for a second, shall we? My lady and I love lamb chops. Upon devouring those chops, we both had the same reaction: we will be back just for the lamb chops. The next time at Cava Mezze will most likely be for Brunch. I heard through the grapevine that this is the hot spot in B-More. It’s going to take a lot to dethrone my current favorite spot, Ms. Shirley’s Café, but you only live once, right? RIGHT?

Cava is a casual restaurant serving mostly tapas style Mediterranean fare. I have never been for brunch – apparently I’m missing out, but I’ve been for other meals and find the menu to have an assortment of different dishes, including dips, salads, seafood and meat selections, vegetables, and a few other items. I’d say most items are in the neighborhood of 8 – 12 dollars and the restaurant usually has a special or two that is more of a substantial entrée – when I was last there it was a whole fish, I want to say it was Branzino but I can’t recall exactly. Anyway, the dishes arrive fairly quickly and though they’re on the small side, they’re filling and definitely sharable between at last two people if you order several of them. The restaurant has a good selection of drinks and the service is generally pretty attentive. Parking can be a bit of a hassle given that it is Harbor East, but that’s the case with most restaurants in the area that don’t offer valet. Overall, worth checking out and trying some good, yet reasonable tapa fare. However, if you want something fairly formal, I’d advise other options in the area.

You can’t get any better. Best brunch in the exquisite Inner Harbor area. The steak and eggs are bomb. The drinks are bomb. The bathrooms are bomb. The people that have a hangover at 3pm on a Sunday are bomb j/k. We went here for our second wedding anniversary and it was one of the best decisions ever. Food came to our table quickly and fresh off the stove. The only thing I wish was on the brunch menu was a veggie or fruit option to break up the various egg, potato, meat and bread pairing that dominates the menu. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter was excellent and didn’t mind taking pictures of the wife and I when asked. The bathrooms are very clean as well.

Get past the hard to read exterior sign and the cliché name, and this restaurant is actually a hit. The interior is open and has a somewhat modern industrial feel to it. Similar to the food, its casual and fun, yet slightly upscale in a good way. The restaurant had a very good buzz on a random, cold, Saturday night. We started off with a bottle of the Soaring Eagle, a South African red blend($ 34). Its a full bodied juicy wine that’s very drinkable, and it went well with most of the items we ordered throughout the evening. In terms of the food, the menu is similar to what you would find in a lot of other Greek style mezze places. The meal began with the dip sampler(hummus, fig hummus, taramoslata, tzatziki and crazy feta), which were all good with the warm pita. Next we ordered the Village Salad(Greek Salad) and the roasted beet salad, both of which were good but not memorable. Progressing to the heartier courses, we then got the Saganaki, a soft gooey cheese set ablaze table side — certainly a show stopper as you see flames shooting up in the dining room. The saganaki was absolutely delicious. After ordering a second bottle of Soaring Eagle, our calamari and crab cakes arrived, both very good. The crab cakes do MD proud with copious amount of lump crab. Finally, the other star of the evening were the lamb chops served with crispy potatoes. The menu doesn’t do this item justice, as they are described as «two baby chops». Not sure why the restaurant describes them this way, because these were two meaty DOUBLECUT chops. In my opinion, a bargain at $ 14.50. I kept saying to the other people in my party, «I would be content with just a bottle of Soaring Eagle and an order of these chops». Anyways, the food here is very good, worth coming back for. The atmosphere and location make this a nice place to hang out if you want a good, reasonably priced meal, and various libations.

WHEREDO I EVENSTART. For sure my favorite brunch spot in the greater Baltimore area. I had Cava Mezze bookmarked for its AYCE brunch for a long time. Don’t make this mistake. If you’re reading this on a Saturday or Sunday, don’t even click«bookmark” – grab a couple of hungry friends, cancel all of your plans from 11 – 3 because #brunchislife, and get yourself to Fleet Street right now. —the atmosphere— I fell in love the second I walked in here. The décor is very clean(i.e. minimalist) and pretty, and the aesthetic is on the trendy side. There are no high-backed chairs or closed booths – the layout is very open, which I liked a lot. Even though we came at 11:30 on a Sunday and stayed for a couple of hours, the restaurant remained pretty sparse. I was surprised it wasn’t busier, but it was nice that it wasn’t packed like many other brunch places. One of the few complaints that I had was that they played radio pop music, which didn’t fit the atmosphere, but it became more chill over time. —the service— Our server was super sweet and friendly. She gave us great recommendations(i.e. the french toast!) and made sure we were taken care of. Different servers brought us each of our plate and all of them were really nice as well. I loved that passing servers getting mimosa refills for other tables would stop by and make sure our glasses were topped off – much appreciated heh. —the drinks— With AYCE brunch comes penny mimosas and $ 5 sangrias/bloody mary’s(though no one was keeping tabs on how many mimosas we were drinking and my friend and I were only charged 1 cent each). Without ordering all you can eat, the drinks are about $ 7 a piece. We stuck with the mimosas and tried both the grapefruit and the orange mimosas. I’m not a fan of the slight bitterness of grapefruit, so I didn’t like that one as much as the orange. The mimosas are also more carbonated than at other places. I’m used to lighter champagnes, so I wasn’t the biggest fan, but they still tasted good. —the food— ALLYOUCANEATBRUNCH it’s a dream come true. Outside of AYCE, brunch dishes range from $ 6-$ 11 each. It doesn’t take a lot of ordering to break even on your $ 30. Our table of 2 managed to make it through 8 plates in 2 hours. The plates are small, but the dishes are filling. I was hoping we’d eat more, but I don’t mind having an excuse to come back again. Most dishes have egg in them so there wasn’t as much variety as we expected. A rundown, with the good stuff at the top and the less so below: Gyro hash: recommended by our server, this was SOGOOD. Meat, potatoes, a fried egg – what more do you want from life? – French toast: our server’s personal favorite and an actual life changer. Thick slices of challah that are slightly crispy, yum. The whipped cream was light and the fruit helped cut through the heaviness of the toast. This was pretty perfect, y’all. – Greek yogurt: thick, creamy consistency. The textures of the yogurt, honey, granola, and fruit together were amazing. Definitely a highlight and I couldn’t stop nibbling at it even when I was full. – Salmon bennie: salmon and eggs benedict are my favorite things and you get a healthy amount of salmon. The hollandaise sauce is a bit tangy, but I didn’t mind it. Delicious. – Skillet cake: I was too full by the time we got this to enjoy this. You definitely need a sweet tooth since it’s chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar and syrup. I’m pretty sure it was good but I could barely stomach a bite. – Village frittata: yummy and done well, but nothing super amazing. – Spicy lamb benedict: the lamb seasoning was really weird. The heat is a slow burn without a lot of flavor to it. The flavor and heat reminded me of hot cheetos for some reason? I’d pass in favor of the salmon benedict. – Crispy pork belly: oh no. I did not like the combination of honey and pork belly at all. We couldn’t get through this one. —the overall impression— 1. Get on Facebook 2. Search for people who live in Baltimore 3. Add 10 strangers 4. Ask each of them to get brunch with you at Cava Mezze Voila! Now you have 10 excuses to come here on 10 separate occasions. You’re welcome.

The best brunch in Baltimore and its not even close imo, i wanted to try this for some time but a fellow Unilocaler tipped the scales so i went. It was all that and more, its $ 30 for unlimited food options, and 1 cent mimosas which kept on coming on end. The offerings that i enjoyed were banana fritters, grilled cheese, village fritatta, deviled eggs, french toast, greek yoghurt and on and on, the drinks were strong too. Its a little pricey but you do get your $$$ worth no doubt.

Hands down the best brunch in Baltimore! Their concept is amazing and the food is good. They offer an all you can eat small plates for $ 30 as well as mimosas for a 1 cents a piece. The entire party does have to partake in the special, so make sure to take people who are on the same inner foodie level as you. They get 5 stars for the experience as well, the music was awesome and out waiter JD was the best. Some of her best foods was the Nutella French toast and the grilled cheese! This is a hot business that is right on the money, with experience, cleanliness as well as service. A++

The French toast here was superb. I also really enjoyed the salmon Benedict and found the chicken sausage burrito to be really tasty. The home fries had a great Mediterranean flair. Service was excellent during peak Saturday brunch hours and the inside of this location is far prettier than the DC location. I’d recommend them for a date or a girl’s outing as it was nice to enjoy great conversation with friends while experimenting with delicious tapas but I marked down one star because I found the mimosas to be extremely watered down with cheap quality sparkling wine which was to be expected for $.01/endless refills.

They don’t get the 5th star yet because I have not been to their dinner service. but for Brunch I can tell you I had a wonderful experience Cava Mezze right in the middle of harbor east so youre around everything. parking is slightly annoying but that’s the price you pay for good location. inside the décor was nice. nothing stuffy very contemporary table and bar set up. The brunch deal is $ 3o per person for unlimited small plates and 1cent mimosas or $ 2 sangria/bloody mary. only catch is your whole table has to be partaking in the deal to receive it. I have never had a tapas style brunch and it was a nice departure from the norm. There were about 15 dishes to try and between me and my 2 friends we went through all of them and doubled up on more than on :) some of the highlights were the lamb benedict(I just rolled my eyes in ecstasy thinking about it), the nutella waffles(OMG) the French toast(OMFG), and the green eggs and ham(deviled eggs, and I know we had upwards of 10) to be able to pick and choose and nibble of this as the mimosas kept flowing made a really great meal. and I would also like to shout out JD aka brunch bae. he was such an attentive and engaging waiter. him having his own special mimosa mix didn’t hurt either. But I appreciate him taking the pulse of the table and taking the initiative and pre ordering dishes he saw we enjoyed more than others(he is the reason we had so many deviled eggs haha no complaints here) and he let us joke with him and take pictures with him we had a ball.

So while looking for a place for brunch this place came up as «hot and new» so I knew it was worth checking out. I like the concept of bottomless brunch with food and drinks. it allows me to be a fatty(I mean foodie, lol) and not feel bad when I look at the bill in the end. They do their brunch in small plates so we got to try almost every item on the brunch menu and not spend over the $ 30! Some of my favorite dishes were the Greek Yogurt, the french toast, the green eggs and ham and the grilled chesse! Mimosas were an additional 1 cent but seriously no one is counting the pennies! They do the traditional orange juice and a daily juice, that day it was grapefruit and our waiter had the most wonderful idea of mixing the two drinks together! It was probably the best mimosa ive had! As far as experience the music was fun and our waiter JD was amazing! He put up with our antics and always kept our glasses full! I will be back for sure and make sure im in JDs section!

There aren’t too many places in Baltimore where you can get the same brunch experience that you can get in NYC or DC, but that’s okay. Baltimore doesn’t want to be another city, we are embodied with our own quirkiness that can’t be found elsewhere. However, sometimes on the weekend I do want the brunch experience that can be found in larger metropolises. Fortunately, Cava Mezze recently opened up in Harbor East. Ignoring my ususal 90 day rule, I grabbed some friends and we headed over to Cava Mezze for all you can eat brunch and once cent mimosas. When we were seated, we obviously each started with a mimosa, the options were orange juice or grapefruit. Normally with a bottomless mimosa, I find that they are a little watered down(like at Little Havana) and for better or worse, these fortunately were not watered down at all and very strong. The menu at Cava Mezze is all small plates(perfect for sharing). We told our waitress, Angelina, what types of things we enjoyed and left the ordering to her. The French Toast was made with thick challah, honey, berries, and cream. This happened to be one of my favorite things we ordered because the bread was slightly doughy like bread pudding. The other hit all around the table was the Nutella Waffle. It’s a Belgian waffle sandwich with nutella slathered between the waffle and then topped with whipped cream, chopped walnuts, and bananas. I’m a huge hash fan(the corned beef hash at Woodberry Kitchen is awesome) so I requested the Gyro Hash. This game with beef and lamb gyro meat, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, Greek yogurt, mushrooms, and a fried egg. The gyro meat was awesome(I know this because I frequent Brusco, their sandwich joint next door) but the dish was a little dry. Perhaps another egg or some more yogurt would have done the trick. The Pasta and Eggs was homemade pasta(which was delicious) with a poached egg, papardelle, feta, and kefalograveria cheese. When you cut into the egg, the yolk ran and made an almost creamy sauce for the pasta. It was similar to a carbonara and delicious. We all loved the Breakfast Burrito which was crumbled chicken sage sausage, eggs, feta, tomato, onion, harissa, and then drizzled with Greek yogurt. Harissa is typically a spicy tomato based paste, but the burrito wasn’t spicy. It did have a nice kick which we really enjoyed and the Greek yogurt was a fun substitute for sour cream. We also got a side of the Chicken Sage Sausage which wasn’t nearly as good as the sausage inside the burrito. It wasn’t bad, it just didn’t stand out like everything else we ordered. Maybe that’s because I’m not a huge sausage person. Another group favorite was the Grilled Cheese. Kefalograveria cheese was between two slides of pita and then topped with arugula. The sandwich was very cheesy and I preferred the pita to traditional bread. We actually ended up ordering two of this because everyone liked it so much! The final thing we tried was the Skillet Cake which was a chocolate chip pancake with a hint of Greek coffee, then topped with butter, and drizzled with maple syrup. Believe it or not, we did not try everything on the menu at Cava Mezze. There are a few items that I’d love to try in the future. If you’re looking for a great brunch experience, head over to Cava Mezze, and ask for Angelina!

Not much to add here, especially considering it’s a chain but the I do like the design of this location. It just spells happy hour, which is great because all the ones in Harbor East are either dry, expensive or we’re sick of them so let’s give it up for gentrification one more ‘gin! I love the variety in liquor offerings(especially the whiskeys) and the fact that they have a variety in bitters. This is the first place I’ve ever seen chocolate bitters! Yum Yum! There are two tvs in the bar section that could be bigger but it’s only a minor gripe. Once I experience the food and service, I’ll be back to update this. By the way, street parking will suck but there are garages nearby on Central as well as Eden.
