We did curb side service, and Over all the food was good and the customer service was great, my only complaint is an Italian restaurant should know how to cook pasta. Spaghetti noodles are not that hard to cook, and yet the pasta was a bit underdone. Underdone to the point I knew it when I opened the to go box. Other than that the rest was good.

Went in on a Friday night wondering why it was so dead. Come to find out the reason why is the service sucks, food we got was burnt and nasty, and for being dead it took forever to get anything we needed. I seriously think if you’re that dead you should get the best service as possible but I was wrong we didn’t. We let the manager know how poor the service was in the ended up going down the road to the Roadhouse to got some better food and better service I recommend don’t go to Johnny Carino’s.

We were quickly seated and greeted by our server. Our order came out shortly after. With the exception of the potato soup, lunch was delicious. We had the Chicken parmesan and the angel hair with artichokes and chicken. Delish! Ladonya hooked us up with our to go bag, giving us some bread and oil dip. Recommend coming here!

1st. This is an exceptionally good review for an off IH-35 «american fast italian» style joint. Not my usual choice when I want Italian, but it was what that particular day warranted. Here are the things that stood out. Jared was an exceptional waiter. I did not expect such good service, that was a delightful surprise. The Open kitchen scene doesn’t usually thrill me, however, when the cook wasn’t busy he was busy shining that kitchen. It sparkled, top to bottom. No rush. That was nice. I didn’t feel like we were rushed out to make room, we took our time and enjoyed our meal then we took the rest with us. You did good Johnny C’s. This review is about two weeks old. I’m just getting to it.

Customer service is NOT their priority… waited for everything(acknowledgement at door, seating, greeting my server, butter for bread, check). No one ever said thank you. Apparently the to go area is where the servers and managers hang out rather than providing positive experience. Won’t come here again.

Had the fried cheesesticks, a shrimp pasta dish. I think my friend got the 7 layer pasta or something like that. The food was great, service was quick and attentive and she kept our drinks full. Plenty of parking. A little on the high side as far as price goes. Would return if in the area and craving for chain food Italian.;

Was there a manager in the house??? If so, they dropped the ball. We had an excellent bartender who was working his tail off. Excellent service and stayed on top of things. He was the only 5 star part of this experience. My issues: 1. My entrée tasted horrible and I rejected it after a few bites. Ended up splitting wife’s entrée for dinner. No one came to check on what was wrong, no offer apologizes, to make it right or to offer another dish. 2. Had front row view to wait station; heard one conversation about a young man not needing to work there, then witnessed a waitress, who had recently served my last glass of water, fluff her hair with her fingers for 5 minutes, and then immediately do table service. I was disgusted & done at that moment. I will not be returning to this location and will not likely return to this brand anytime soon.

After watching the South Park episode, I’m hesitant to post this, but… I am not pleased at all that 1. they ran out of bread and 2. the server waited until I had received my app and my drink and placed my order before telling me. I’m not sure what level of incompetence is required for a national chain to run out of the one item that every table receives. It’s bread. How hard is it to keep bread in stock? In any case, they offered nothing in its place. The guy at the next table who loudly heckled the server all night about how good the bread is almost made it worth it, though. While his companion kept looking around for a place that she could hide. I like stuffing myself full of food here on occasion. Objectively, though, not much food is above average here(or at Olive Garden) except the hot bread. As for waiting until the last second to tell me… I can’t even remember the last time I left a tip less than 15%. And later regretted that I left any tip at all. Yes, it’s just bread, but if I had known in advance they had none I would have gone to eat someplace else.

The utensils, table, and floor were all dirty and disgusting. Manager was very unhelpful. The food is not worth the price or the lack of customer service you’ll get here.

We had very tasty meal, which included the chicken Milano and Skilletini. Good service, fair prices, food served piping hot!

The food and drinks are not the problem here. It’s the service and time it takes for food to arrive. A glass of wine and beer took more than 15 minutes. How is that possible? I could have walked across IH-35 and bought a beer from the gas station in less time than what it took here. Is it more complicated than I think? 1) notice restaurant is ¼ full 2) take order 3) enter order 4) bar tender pours beer and wine 5) pick up beer and wine and deliver 6) customer enjoys beverage and leaves happy Apparently this is not the model adopted by this restaurant.

The place is a little dingy looking but the food was ok. One thing I have to mention was that we sat at a booth in the bar and our server was also the bartender.(maybe named CJ. Not sure). The restaurant got packed and he had no bar back. Very little help at all with his tables and dude held his own. He was a working machine! It’s rare you see people care and work like this man anymore. It made my whole day better. I even wrote a note on the receipt. I hope the manager sees it.

My boyfriend and I love to eat at this place, the service is great, atmosphere and food excellent. Our favorite dishes are the Chicken Skilletini, the Spicy Shrimp & Chicken, their home salad with vinaigrette dressing and the delicious bread they serve right after you sit down… it’s so good we can’t get enough! The Parmer location has plenty of room for families and the customer service has been great for us so far, I will recommend this place; clean and friendly and the good food is a bonus. :)

My girlfriend and I like to meet here most Tuesdays for their 2 for 1 lunch special. We each get a soup or salad, a good sized entrée, and fresh bread & butter. She signed us up for their customer rewards program so we also get a free app or dessert twice a month too(once for each of us). There are 6 or 8 lunch entrée choices to choose from; I usually get a coke, the potato soup, and a shrimp and chicken pasta, plus their awesome Italian bread. I almost always have half my pasta leftover so I take that to-go and they’re usually happy to give you an extra loaf of bread for your leftovers, and I get a togo cup for my drink. My girls the same but she gets the lasagna and water. I always tip well(based on what the full amount would’ve been to pay for 2 entrées) and the bill has never been over $ 20, usually closer to $ 15. Not bad for a nice date, delicious Italian food, and the leftovers for next day at work! I gave 4 stars because while we are pretty much regulars and most of the wait staff know us by now and act happy to see us, and know that we tip fairly — I’ve asked a few of them and they said the majority of people short them on tips with the 2 for 1 by not tipping on the full amount before the discount, smh — there are 2 older wen who are pretty surly, one in particular who makes it clear she does NOT want to be there and IS doing you a favor by waiting on you. We try to avoid her! Also, while we usually both stick to our regular dishes a couple of times we’ve tried the other choices. They are all ok except the Fettuccine Alfredo, which my girl loves at Olive Garden, Carino’s was watery and the sauce not properly cooked, you could taste the flour in the cheese sauce and it tasted more milky than cheesy, no under-tone of garlic. Overall a good place, particular for their Tuesday lunch special.

Chain restaurants are not always my favorites. This one has good italian food. Alway fresh and cooked to order. Service is always good. They make excellent alcohol drinks and have a good sangria. Italian nachos are awesome! Great value when taking the whole family out for dinner

For a chain Italian place, its not bad at all. Service was excellent, drinks were very good, not too strong, not too weak. Eaten here many times before, food has always been on point, they have a special during the week, like on Tuesdays, half price platters, very affordable for a family meal. Italian nachos, sounds unusual, but very good.

Came in late last night(10:15) and the food was delicious! My server, Bill, was great and made my boyfriend and I laugh a lot. Their bread is the flipping greatest!

The atmosphere at most locations are comfortable. No different here. Most times friendly service. No difference. Most times we get exactly what we ordered. NOT so much this time. And when we pointed it out, the server laughed it off and brought us the check instead of let’s figure out how we can fix it. Now she is friendly. I think a bit distracted from doing her job efficiently and pay attention to what the customers really saying. Meaning be in a customer service mindset. If it was not for the fact that we were way too hungry to wait for a fix because of the lack of attention we got cause of the distracted server we may of pushed issue a little harder. Food is delicious at most locations I’ve been too. So nothing to say here Yea ill eat at Johnny Carinos again

Was actually pretty good. I was surprised, pleasantly so. Very pleasant service, too. I had the Italian pot roast — melt-in-your-mouth tender with potatoes rather than pasta. The potatoes could have been crisper, but were pretty good. The sauce was nice but just a tad salty. My guest had the lasagna that he ate so quickly it disappeared right before my eyes. He loved it. Bread was good, olive oil with garlic chips — megh. The garlic was too dark, just this side of burnt and too hard. Not my taste. Would have preferred raw garlic with the olive oil and more herbs. Tiramisu was lovely.

This review is for take-out food only. I haven’t experienced service in the restaurant. The food and prices have been great. I really like the roasted garlic potato soup. The seafood pasta medley is also great, but I’m pretty sure the seafood is just a frozen mix, which is fine with me because I know I could pay $ 25+ for a non-frozen mix somewhere else. I’m totally cool with the more cost-efficient option they have here. It still tastes good! The fire sticks and bread are also very good. The employees have all been really friendly and professional, which scores bonus points with me. I’m personally not a huge fan of their pickup system. They bring the food to your car, which is nice in theory but I’d rather just walk up and pay instead of hoping they see my car right away and then having to wait for my card to get taken and brought back to me. If I’m feeling really lazy, it’s nice, but it’s not as quick as a normal carryout. I rewrote this review after more experiences with this restaurant. The consistency of food quality/taste makes it 5 stars for me.
