Meena Threading Salon

I was having dinner next store and saw they only charged $ 5 for eyebrow treading. I was nervous, but needed to do my brows badly. I was happy with the result and actually had 3 ppl compliment how «on point» my brows looked. I’m going to continue going to this place since it isn’t too far and honestly the price is great. The women was nice, although alone which surprised me, and I didn’t have to wait.

this is the Sh*tiest place to go to. i asked for a simple eye brow threading, told the women exactly what i wanted a simple shape up to what i already had and she gave me the opposite did not LISTEN AT ALL. when i asked why all she had to say was «i dont know what your talking about». dumbest b*tch ever. and when i asked for a manager apparently she didnt have one and didnt want to give me her name. so BEWARE monday late afternoon do not go there if your still thinking about going.

Wow. The staff is rude. I went in for a quick waxing. The bill was 10 bucks. I gave her a dollar tip. Perhaps I should have given more… what 50 cents? a dollar? It was such a quick affair, I thought a dollar was enough. Whatever the tip, it doesn’t warrant one of the employees’ attitude and rudeness. As she was giving me my change at the counter, I placed the tip on the table. She didn’t pick it up then. As I was leaving, I heard her tell the other employee «She gave one dollar. Cheap!» She said this in Hindi. I’m Indian and understand Hindi. So, without a word, I went back in and took the dollar still lying on the table. Then as I am walking out the door, I hear her yell «YEAH, take it! take it!»
There are a plethora of threading places in Queens and in NYC. I will not be coming back here. The staff needs to get a grip.

I had threading done at Meena’s. The service was fast (no wait on a Sunday afternoon) and great. The lady was as friendly as one can be in the 2 minutes it took her to complete the threading. Based on the other reviews, I wouldn’t get waxing done here, but I had a good experience with threading, and at $ 4 for brows, you can’t beat the price.

Do not visit this shop for waxing! My visit was a nightmare and I am left with huge burn spots all over my stomach. The woman who did the wax rushed through my session yet there was only one other person waiting! I was not given much time and appreciation. Unfortunately I do not recommend this shop and will not be going back again. This was a horrible experience !

I have been getting my eyebrows waxed here for about a year and am always happy with the results… great price and good service!

I have gone to Meena’s Threading Salon for a number of services from eyebrow and lash tinting to lip, leg, & bikini waxing. Service is always prompt and friendly and I always make it a point to visit them before going on vacation or to help prep for a special event. Ask for Sharmi, she’s great!

I have been to several threading salons in the city and I have never seen a place that charges only $ 5! I was a little skeptical at first but I went in anyway. I got the eyebrow threading and the lady was fast and good. It was slightly painful but it is the same wherever you go.
I was done in less than 5 minutes and my eyebrow was clean and shapely. Great result!

This was my first time at a threading salon. There was a long line of people waiting to get their eyebrows done, but I only had to wait less then 10 minutes. It didn’t seem like they were rushing either. As for my results, I was very happy, and the price was $ 7 which I felt was average! Will go again!

I’ve gotten my brows done at places all over New York and Chicago, and this place has been one of the best. The woman who did my brows spent a good amount of time perfecting their shape, and they’ve never looked better. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I have no idea what that girl is talking about… honestly every time i’ve gotten my eyebrows done at Meena’s its been an incredible experience. No frills, everyone is really nice, bollywood plays on loop. The important thing is my eyebrows look amazing every time. Like life changing gorgeous!
I have yet to find a replacement since I moved out of Astoria… I’m considering going to Queens just to get my eyebrows done there!

Friendly staff — nice service — HORRIBLE RESULTS.
All I want to share is that I got burned, hurt and ended up with an infection. I would advice to stay away from their waxing services. Eyebrow threading should be safe …
