Cold Stone Creamery

They now have a self-​serve frozen yogurt section. The last time I was here was 4 years ago, so this was a happy surprise. Might have to try that on my next visit. This go-​around I had the coffee ice cream with chocolate chips. Very tasty.

The ice cream was so good, i do love it. But i really disappointed when i got into this place because of the service here. My friend chose the large one, the strawberry flavor and chocolate chips, it was about 5.50 $ and i chose the medium one, mint flavor with the chocolate chips. But the big problem was mine is more expensive than my friend, it was 7 $ and i actually doubt about it, i asked the service but she said she doesn’t know. They really unfriendly and scared me :(i never want to be here again even though it’s the closest the my house :(

My palette for cold desserts skews to sorbets and fruit smoothies rather than dairy, but my girls of course love anything with sugar. Walking into these places, you go into insulin shock just breathing the air. None of which plays into my rating.
This copy of Cold Stone Creamery is slow, staffed by unmotivated high schoolers, and loud (Eddy Money is now forever linked to Cold Stone).
If you’re already a Cold Stone fan, this will cut the mustard. If you’re looking for something new, try Froots in the same plaza or even, dare I suggest… hork… SweetFrog around the corner.

I went in on a Monday evening, two young ladies were working behind the counter and I probably waited 20 minutes (2 people were in front of me with simple orders of a small tub of ice-​cream and one lady paying) before the even got around to me and neither of them seemed to know the menu (they kept looking behind them to figure out what they were making). I will give that maybe they were new, but if they were, why wasn’t a trainer there to direct them? Maybe I shouldn’t complain but I think I expect better customer-​service when I come to niche business… they only need to know one thing, ice-​cream. Neither lady was engaging nor exactly friendly, a smile would have been nice. I only ordered one thing and it was off the main menu or signature sundaes. *le sigh* Oh well.
Now on to the new yogurt they offer… omg… please OH PLEASE… don’t try to compete with the likes of Sweet Frog or Crave, their yogurt far surpasses the junk you call yogurt… awful taste, ice granules, how can anyone mess up the flavor cake batter?! Stick to ice-​cream please… if you want to compete with the speciality yogurt shops, allow people to scoop their own ice-​cream, add their own mix-​ins and pay by weight, otherwise stop competing and stick to what you know.
Lastly… Cold Stone of Ashburn, you are right next to a movie theatre, I know you get plenty of customers, invest in a real credit-​card machine or a better internet connection, because standing at the register waiting for my card to go through for an extra five minutes doesn’t kill me but it sure kills your service speed for any customers waiting to start their own orders.

Good spot for ice cream if you are into Cold Stone. They recently added yogurt machines I suppose to compete with all of the yogurt businesses around. I have yet to try the yogurt at Cold Stone. We have had a few cakes from here which have been good.

Yummy if your in the mood for an 8 dollar ice-​cream. LOL

Yum yum yum yummy! You can get anything your heart desires here! They have plenty of flavors to choose from as well as «mix-​ins» which is one of the best inventions since sliced bread! The staff is also always cheerful and friendly. On summer evenings, prepare to wait a few minutes, but well worth it! A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for!
