Horrible experience with the owner. I tried to order a birthday cake for my daughter. I was being charged for every detail. Then she started to critic my wife and I for the combination of flavors. Her demeanor was unprofessional. Afterwards I read the previous reviews which now made sense after my experience with the owner. We decided to cancel the order. She made a comment to her employee in Spanish that was rude. I believe you should not treat your community customers this way if you want to be successful. Also, they charge you to use your credit card? WTF. Are we living in a 3rd world country?

Good ice cream, friendly staff. I love the location. I just wish they had more low fat options. Competing with Sweet Frog and even Coldstone has a yogurt bar now.

So I was hanging out with a very dear friend of mine when we decided on a whim to stop for some ice cream. We happened to be in the plaza and thought Maggie Moo’s was the cutest name for an ice cream shop. Maggie Poo’s is more like it! I ordered a smoothie and the staff(two high school children who had to be new) had no idea how to even prepare one. I asked for strawberries but instead I got milk and some very old yogurt. My friend got the Cinnamoo which she adored. They didn’t care as it was close to closing time that they messed up my order. They also assumed that my friend and I were a couple solely based off of our appearance. It was highly offensive and we will NOT be returning.

Maggie moos is the best ice cream around if you want high quality ice cream. I’ve been going there for years and this location has been able to stay in business(unlike most other Maggie moos) because the owners are diligent and consistent with the quality and serving sizes. My guess is that the location closest to out house went under because the staff was typically over serving, although it benefits the customer I realized, it doesn’t keep the owners in business for very long. So although I admit I laughed a little over the fact that they were weighing the ice cream at the Ashburn location, it is this practice that will keep them around in the long run. The owners are super sweet and love to talk with customers. The ice cream is pricey but it’s the best quality around. So for you out there that buys premium ice cream over a mcdonalds cone, then this is the place for you.

Welp. There goes that 3 star rating I gave previously… I decided to go back to Maggie Moo’s today. There was a $ 5 for $ 10 deal on Unilocal,so I figured I could buy some Cinnamoo and treat my dad to a banana split as well. I’ll save the whining about my order of Cinnamoo ice cream, because that’s a story in itself, but I just had to update this review after today’s visit. I’ll dub this story, SNEAKYOWNERSANDMYBANANASPLIT. There was a young high school guy – we’ll name him«Buddy» because I forgot to get his name– preparing to make the banana split. Owner #1(the wife, which I’m assuming is married to Owner #2, the husband) comes from the back and tells«Buddy» that they are out of bananas. I think to myself, «Whatever, no biggie. Dairy Queen is a few blocks over.» Owner #2 starts speaking really low to Buddy and tells him to use these partial – and very bruised – bananas that were sitting in the cooler UNWRAPPED. I was livid. I got her attention and told her I didn’t want those old bananas. She turns around and says to me, «oh, no that’s not what I meant. They’re not old or anything I’ll just cut off an inch and they’ll be fine.» The outside of the bananas were bruised horribly, as was the top of the exposed part, because, well it had been exposed for hours I’m sure. I asked to see the bananas cut in half length-wise before she tried to place them in my dad’s banana split. They didn’t look too bad, but clearly had been sitting there, unwrapped for a few hours. I should have just opted out, but I didn’t. I went ahead with getting it, which was my first mistake. Buddy finishes up my banana split while Owner #2(Husband) is beginning to ring me up. I hand him my phone and tell him I want to use my Unilocal deal. I guess« Unilocal» is a magic word because the wife almost broke her neck to turn around and say to me, «OHMYGOODNESS! YOU’RE A ‘ UnilocalER’?! PLEASEDON’T ADD A REVIEWABOUTTHEBANANAS.» I kid you not. She says that all in one breath. Now my state of «lividness» has reached a high peak. You basically just admitted your guilt! The wife continues to ramble on with excuses as to why she secretly told Buddy to use the old bananas. She then starts trying to be nice and make conversation. At this point I’m over it. I’m tuning her out. I was so ready to go. Two stars because Cinnamoo is, and will always be, my favorite ice cream and because«Buddy” – along with the other high school kids – was extremely helpful and so nice! ASFORTHEOWNERS, they should stop trying to cut corners everywhere. It’s ridiculous. They don’t carry lids for the banana splits, the weighing of the ice cream, and there’s something fishy about the way they charge tax. Count me out. Cinnamoo, you’ll be missed deeply by your #1 Fan.

Maggie Moos /Marble Slab Ashburn/Broadlands is awesome. Homemade flavors, and awesome toppings. I loved the chocolate-dipped waffle cone. The teenage girl behind the counter was very helpful, and funny too.

They weigh each portion by the ounce… Who does that at an ice cream store? And then they charge a premium price for your dish. Although it was good, the portion was NOT worth the price paid. You’ll get better deals elsewhere. One star for the price to portion ratio, another since it was good.

My Fiancé & I go to Sweet Frog pretty frequently. We decided we’d like to try something different, and went to Maggie Moos. For two small servings with one topping mixed in, it was about 13 dollars. They tasted very good, yet I doubt we’ll be back. You get much much more for your money at Sweet Frog. Sorry Maggie Moo!

We visited this location after we got a Groupon to try the new location out. The girl who worked there was super friendly(and patient) with my 3 year old who has no idea what she wants(and frequently changes her mind). Yummy ice cream as always!

The ice cream was as fresh as can be and the owners are just wonderful people. Even though it’s out of the way for us, this will be our new go to ice cream spot!

We haven’t been here in almost two years. The girl who helped us mentioned they are under new ownership. I really like the loyalty card(after 8 you get a free small.) They have some new flavors that were really good, too. The same girl who was helping us welcomed every single person who walked in, which I thought was nice. I had red velvet with cookie dough, Oreos, and fudge; my husband had brownie batter with strawberries and fudge. Our daughter was stealing from both of us and no one was disappointed!

Good ice cream. Very expensive and light on the toppings. Good variety of toppings, they are just not very generous with them. I prefer Sweet Frogs.

Great Ice cream place. We frequently drive over 12 miles to have their ice-cream … they are different from Cold Stone as they mainly use milk for their ice cream and its not as heavy as the cold stone creamery ice creams. The owners and staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

This is some outstanding ice cream. But, if I did not have a BOGO on my Little League card, I would never pay full price.

I had seen Maggie Moo’s listed in different magazine, newspaper, and Internet articles as perhaps the best ice cream in the US. Finally, I had the opportunity to check it out. MM is similar to Cold Stone Cremery. Select your custard and the mixins. Servers mix the concoction on a cold stone surface. Yep, it is good, though not great by any means. Worth a try but not worth going out of your way to find one.
