We are the way to Maui for vacation and stop by for a quick by for lunch. We order a hamburger and lobster roll. The burger was dry and the meat had a funny smell. The longer roll was equally pathetic tasteless and taste like a defrosted lobster What a shame !!! this place is good for drinks ONLY !!

I had some time to observe the cooks at this location for several hours. I would highly recommend not ordering any food at this location. One cook was seen repeatly stopping his finger in a put to taste a dish. Not once did he wash his hands or put gloves on. The same cook would then“vap” in the same area. I know it’s not a cigarette but, com’on there had to be a better location to partake in that activity. Additionally, both cooks were eating their own food while cooking for the patrons. Again no washing of hands or consistent use of gloves were noticed. Overall: if you want to buy a drink, good place. If you want food, order somewhere else.

Considering the context — a quick service restaurant in a concourse — 3⁄5 stars is a pretty good rating. My fiancé and I split a spinach dip appetizer and a burger. Reasons for deductions: 1. Waitress barely spoke English and wasn’t very friendly 2. Had to ask more than once to get a refill on my water 3. The chips that came with the dip were stale 4. The burger that was ordered as medium was charred to a crisp

I usually avoid sit-down restaurants in airports, but this one looked good. Nice décor, open kitchen so you can see the flames, interesting menu. But alas, I should have gone for the pre-made sandwich at a shop nearby. Fast service, very fast. But bad food. I ordered the fish and chips for $ 18. The hunk of fish was huge and looked tasty, but turned out to be too big too handle. It was so big and heavy, it just fell apart into chunks that were difficult and messy to eat. Hidden underneath were the soggiest fries I’ve had in a long time. Clearly cooked in oil that was too low in temperature to make good fries. And the cole slaw had no flavor. Cabbage and mayo. Yuck. Bland. Why bother? These problems are fixable by the chef is he sees this review in the future. But I can’t recommend this place today.

Terrible. Had the blandest version of A BLT ever. Who knew you could make bacon flavorless¿ The diet coke was cold though… so that was good.

Pros: the Grille District offers nice drinks and friendly service in a convenient location. Cons: you may have to cancel your food order to make your flight.

Manager has absolute disregard for customer service. Bartender made fun of my wife for asking to substitute… Then did it again with the lady next to us at the bar. Go ahead and order there for average food and horrible service. Tried to get the manager’s name but she refused… Here’s a picture of her in the phone and her laptop.

Along with many other travelers I found myself posted up here for a few drinks before my flight left for Atlanta. Service was good considering the heavy flow of people in and out. Their beer menu and associated cocktails was satisfying for the terminal. I attempted to try the she crab soup however it was below par for what I have tried in the past. Other items coming out tables next to mine looked tempting but I can only review for what I tried. If in this location next I would be willing to try other options. Great spot for a beer though!

This place wasn’t worth the money spent, that is for sure. I get that it’s in the airport but come on…$ 80 for lunch. First of all, my waitress sucked. I asked if they had a gluten free menu and she looked at me like I was smoking something. So I asked if she knew of any items that could be made gluten free & she told me I could only eat salads. When I explained that it wouldn’t make sense for them to have flour on grilled fish she said she would go ask. So then, amazingly enough, we find out the grilled fish doesn’t have flour on it. Then she tells me that all of the sides have gluten… jasmine rice & mashed potatoes!!! Really? Anyways, the food sucked as bad as my waitress with her crappy attitude and blatant ignorance.

As a rule, I am a big skeptic when it comes to airport sit down lounges/bars. These places usually tend to be filthy, over priced and do not count towards great culinary experiences in any way. However, Grille District is making me do a retake. I came here for a late lunch(damn Delta for their delayed flights) and was seated within about 5 minutes of being at the host stand. The service was hurried and quick, but not bad — you basically flag down any server you see without worrying who your real server is(which is what it felt like to me). So I had thee fish and chips(with a salad substituted for the chips). My cod filet was perfectly golden brown, crispy on the outside while being flaky and moist on the inside. The fish was über fresh and I just LOVED the texture. I also had the Caeser salad — SO yum! The right amount of dressing, parmesan cheese and croutons — I have zero complains. For airport food, my fish was super legit! They have plenty of screens around the place for you to satisfy ANY kind of game watching cravings. I do agree that the place is SUPER cramped. I dined by mysely on my table of 2, and there was barely enough space for folks to move about. Other than that, no regrets! Now is the place pricey? Well I paid abour $ 22.00 for my fish and chips without taxes, and I will say it is on the steep side, but then this is an aiport — so stop hating people!

Meh for breakfast. The«fresh fruit» and yogurt was not that fresh. I ended up eating only the yogurt since the fruit tasted funny and was mushy. I paid $ 9 for that. Most people had either the omelette or breakfast wrap. $ 12+ The Bloody Mary was pretty strong so you get some bang for your buck there. It’s also pretty cramped and you end up bumping into people or you will be bumped into by others, including the waitstaff.

Packed house at 8:15am but I was helped almost immediately after sitting down. The bartender was nice and attentive. The bloody Maria is a kicker and I highly recommend it. The other staff members don’t really have the«happy face» on but it didn’t stop the bartender from getting the job done. Five stars based on the bartender and her drink. Cheers.

Bad. Don’t eat here. The shrimp tacos were so much money and they sucked. And my last taco, only had one shrimp. Fries were over cooked. $ 65 for a side of fries, 6 small shrimp tacos(2 orders) and a beer.

While waiting… and waiting… and waiting for my flight back to San Diego(via Houston of course!), I decided to have dinner at the Grille District located at the DCA airport in Arlington, VA. This place was pretty busy yesterday… especially with all the delays, missed flights, re-routings…of flights going through/to/from Texas, I’m glad I got here a little early to beat the weary traveler crowds. I started off with a Bloody Mary(of course!) and then opted for the Fish and Chips. Not the healthiest choice, but it was good :-) The Mahi Mahi fish tacos looked good too. Next time.

First time I am writing a review on my phone, because there’s not much to say, only bad things. I was told the vegetarian ramen would be flavorful, like all ramens. I got it, and it was the worst ramen ever, completely devoid of flavor and vegetables, just noodles and water. The person told me it was American style ramen, not Japanese, what she lied about was that it had flavor. This ramen tasted like water and noodles, worse than instant noodles! I didn’t even take a full bite before realizing I didn’t want anymore and wasted $ 20 as I got my check and left a big pile of uneaten, flavorless noodles on the table…

It’s an airport restaurant, and it the only one in the Alaska Airlines terminal at DCA. Unless you want McDonald’s or a sandwich from Starbucks, this is the only place to get real food at. I had a 2.5-hour wait until I was to board, so went here to drink some Virginia and Maryland beers. I ordered buffalo chicken tenders for 13 bucks, which was way overpriced, but everything edible at an airport is, I guess. Surprisingly the service here is really good despite how packed and busy the place is. Just don’t think you’re gonna get bomb food.

I’m in this terminal and gate area a lot when traveling for work. They’ve done a lot of work in the last year. Before this place used to be some seafood restaurant and it sucked but there was NOTHINGELSE for gates 10 — 22 that wasn’t fast food. Well they revamped everything and now this place is much better. I’ve only been here for breakfast but it’s good, simple, and fairly quick. I have experienced in the last few visits that the staff are slow to seat people and wait on people. I always sit at the bar and since I’m here so early that’s usually not an issue for me, but I’ve seen people walk away or get up and leave because they sit and wait so long for someone to come take their order. I’ve also seen and experienced food being cold and needing to send it back. They pretty much seem to just pull food out of freezers and assemble it like a sandwich artist would at Subway. The coffee comes out of a machine like you’d see at Denny’s that makes the hot chocolate — and it’s pretty weak — I doubt they use actual coffee grounds. No worries though, there’s a new Starbucks directly across from you so just get coffee there. Despite slow service and cold food at times it’s always my go to. I do like it here and though assembled it is good when it comes out right. It’s fast, friendly, and a nice place to sit down. If you’d rather not, there’s a McDonald’s right around the corner from the Grille District for another hot meal option.

Two stars because I reserve 1 star for things like an insect in the food. This place is a step above that, but not much. Watched staff wiz by me for awhile before anyone stopped to take an order. In an airport with travelers trying to make flights, you gotta do a better job of respecting your customers’ time. Didn’t help that everyone from the greeter to the person who gave me a menu to the one who took my order to the other one who brought it all seemed to have a nasty case of grumpy. Would you like a side or sourpuss with your omelette, sir? Also didn’t help that the food came out colder than the plate was. Staff didn’t even say sorry when I asked nicely if they could heat it up.

Ed C.‘s review is definitely a plant. They were not busy, had plenty of staff and service was still slow. My meal came out lukewarm at best. I would have been ok with it if it tasted good. Unfortunately I was in a rush so no time to complain and get something else. I gave them two stars because they at least had one of my favorite beers.

Opened at six and didn’t have strawberries for my smoothie, jalapeños for another patron’s drink, and misdelivered the replacement smoothie with mango which I didn’t request and without a fresh straw. Had to reuse the diet coke straw on my smoothie. Two stars because the smoothie didn’t suck. (P.s. I suspect the Ed C. review is a plant. I tend to skew hard in favor of positive reviews. It takes a lot to disappoint me… so 5 stars makes me suspicious.)
