Like your local Chop’t/Sweetgreen alternative — but slightly cheaper and with a good variety of toppings. You can get a small(decent size) custom made salad for less than $ 8, which is a winner in my book.

The salads are good and the price is good, if you are lucky enough to get a full bowl. After this place had its big renovation these salads were always amazing. However now it seems more and more often that the large bowl has bigger gaps of empty space than one would deem acceptable. Basically today I could have fit the amount I got in my large container into the small container.

BAGEL&LOX. Greeted by the friendly asian lady who made my sandwich. Great coffee –Lavazza– and inexpensive. The sandwich and large java was less than $ 8. Worth the 5min walk from my hotel(Courtyard).

I really love this place! I started working across the street over a month ago and this has become my go-to place. Great selection and everyone is super nice. Even when it’s busy they move fast. Glad to have this place around!

I was visiting from out of town staying at a hotel nearby and was looking for a place with lots of salad options that I could walk too. This place far exceeded my expectations! You can choose from kale, mixed greens, romain and spinach or you can get a combination of all of them or some of them. There is a huge selection of toppings. The salad was wonderful the prices were very reasonable and the staff was so helpful and professional and fun to interact with.

Really good variety of sandwiches and salads. It’s nothing amazing but it tastes good and it’s affordable. Just a really solid little deli. Excellent lunch spot.

This is a favorite breakfast place for my co-worker and myself for about a year and a half now. The customer service is always GREAT! The food is always fresh, affordable and delicous. When I say affordable… where else can you get a «western omlette» for $ 3.99 plus tax??? That same«western omlette» at IHOP would cost you almost twice as much. So if you are in Crystal City I recommend you do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

So I’m a lifeguard at a pool nearby and always walked pass this location. my father recently had a stroke so I changed my eating habits because he had high blood pressure and im to overweight to be a lifeguard. Never been inside before because I hate vegtables so I walked passed and thought about my health and walked in Chop .the lady who made my salad was really nice and they had tooo much selections for me in a good way. I hate vegtables but chop changed that for me today’s my second day coming in and more to come.

I got a large salad with a lot options to add at no charge. For $ 8 something, I thought it was a good value. I’ve been looking for a place like this in the area. Will be returning again!

Great value. I got the chicken hummus pita(includes fresh avocado) with small soup and chips for $ 8.34. Fresh ingredients, hot and cold sandwiches, and they toast the bread which is a big plus. Line moves relatively fast too.

The salads here are great. I eat here at least once a week – where else in Crystal City can you find raw kale and baked tofu? All of their salad dressings are homemade, the wasabi dressing is my favorite.

4.5 stars easily. Fresh Chop Chop Salads are a pretty fantastic lunch option in Crystal City– probably the best that I have come across in my 5.5 years working in the area. Service was also fantastic and quick. I was so impressed by this salad, in fact, that I am writing the review while taking a break from my tasty, fresh, large salad. I decided on the large salad. I will have to disagree with another comment that noted the meager portions of toppings on the chopped salad. You get to choose lots of options from a long list of different categories– I am sure if you asked to double-up on 1 of the 6 toppings, they would be happy to do so. Variety is the spice of life, so I’m happy I get 2 types of lettuce, 6 different toppings, 2 protein options, 2 cheese, and dressing. For my large salad, I chose spring mix and spinach. Then I choose 6 toppings– red onion, green pepper(advertised as red+green, but no red available), jalapeño peppers, chickpeas, crumbled egg, and sliced almonds. For meat(choose 2) I got chicken breast and chicken salad– the chicken tastes freshly grilled and flavorful. They have brown rice, or tofu for vegetarians. Then I chose blue cheese, though you could choose 2 here as well. Finally, I got the balsamic dressing. The large salad was $ 7.99 + tax, with an option to add chicken soup for only a $ 1 more. Frankly, I wouldn’t be able to eat soup after the big salad, and I have a good appetite. Not the cheapest salad option out there, but kudos Fresh Chop Chop.

Newly opened in place of Peter’s Deli, this place only offers salads, sandwiches, soup, coffee, sodas and chips. It’s expensive, but the quality of product is fresh and the new folks are friendly and pleasant. My only gripe so far is they are pretty megar with their toppings on the chopped salad, but overall, it’s a good little joint to stop in for a breakfast sandwich(I recommend the bagel with lox) and their California Turkey Wrap sandwich for lunch.
