I eat a lot of burgers. I like most burgers. The burgers here at Chop House Burgers are soggy. They’re not good. You can’t pick them up. And my order was incorrect. With the number of burger places around, skip this restaurant and pick another one. The fried pickles are good.

First and last time. Burger was super salty and greasy. I couldn’t even eat my burger as a burger because the bun was so soggy and falling apart from all the grease. The sweet potato fries were just as soggy and greasy, no crunch to them at all. My fiancé ordered the gumbo and it was completely burnt. If you like biting into a handful of salt and grease and if you like your food to taste burnt and over-done then this is the place for you! The service sucks just as bad as the food. After being handed our order we decided to get fried pies. We waited over 15 mins for pies and had to ask about them for someone to go back to the kitchen and get them. They had been sitting back there for a while. Don’t waste your time with this place, you’re better off getting a burger from Braum’s next door! At least you can eat their burger as a burger! Complete waste of time and money.

So I took my babe to this DDD joint and he was skeptical. Now he knows I don’t lie! Soo good!!! I must say we will be back on the bike and ringing friends!

The Texican was great! The burger was tender and juicy and… messy. I enjoyed every bite of it. Glad I didn’t go with the typical ketchup and mustard, which may have altered the taste. However, I did have to choose a condiment, so I went with mayo. I thought heavily about going with salsa and/or sour cream. It already had pico de gallo covered with pepper jack cheese. My only confusion was that I thought the burger would be mixed with pico prior to cooking based on the menu description. I would have loved to try it that way too! I will definitely be back!

Last time I went in I went for a piece of their pecan pie… That was the last time… The pie looked and tasted like it had been thrown in a batch of grease it was absolutely disgusting I threw it away… The place has a funny smell from the inside and the staff is hit or miss some days they are helpful other days not so much.

Note to future Chop House visitors — the basket of fried goodies is enough for 2 people! Is that common sense? I guess not for me! I ordered a half & half basket with fries and fried jalapenos and Mike ordered a side of fried pickles. When the basket came out — we thought they had mixed everything together but noooo… we got another small basket of fried pickles! Yikes! And yes — I’m starting my review talking about the sides because I’m not a burger pro and my bacon cheeseburger tasted great to me! Now the fries were fantastic — perfectly salted, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but my absolutely favorite was the FRIEDJALAPENOS. Nom! Fresh and not pickled jalapenos fried to a crisp and dipped in ranch — just amazing! The fried pickles were good, as well, but a bit too salty for me. Oh yeah — Mike ordered the Chop House Burger and he loved it. Definitely a spot we’ll come back to.

Ordered the«Chophouse Burger» with a side of sweet potato fries. It was totally messy, not that I am complaining, I mist have used a half a roll of paper towels as things drenched my arm. I thought the burger was a little pricey until you realize it is made of brisket barBque and thick bacon and real cheddar cheese, not that American BS goo. When even I am in this area I make it a point to come here.

I have dined at Chop House Burger, in Euless, many times and enjoyed it. We were in Arlington and my wife had located a Chop House Burgers(notice the S) that was not associated with the one we knew, but after reading the reviews, we decided to check it out. The location, not being near a highway, was not convenient, but it was definitely worth the drive. I was so hungry upon arrival, that everything on the menu looked enticing. I decided to go with their namesake burger(ground beef, brisket and bacon) but was surprised that the menu also listed gumbo. I asked about it and the VERY friendly staff asked me if I’d like to try a sample. It was a sausage gumbo and very tasty, but I decided to stick with my burger order and added onion rings. The burger was fabulous. I could definitely taste the burger, bacon and brisket. It was juicy and very large. I could not finish it! The onion rings were some of the best I’d ever tried anywhere, and like the burgers, were huge. I also ordered a fried peach pie(made from scratch in the restaurant) but never found the room for it. I opened the to-go box to peek at it and it was drizzled with something shiny & wet looking. I asked what the coating was, and was told it was caramel. That pie will be tomorrow’s breakfast and, as stuffed as I am, I am tempted to try a bite before bedtime. The other families present were all having a good time, and the friendliness of the staff must have rubbed off on all of us. Strangers were making conversation and it was a great family atmosphere. My wife, Bonnie, ordered a Buffalo Chicken sandwich which she loved(and she grew up across the US/Canada border from Buffalo). She said the sauce was excellent but wished she had asked for a little more, on the side. The bleu cheese was comprised of «big chunks,» which she loved. I’m now lying in bed, writing this review on my iPad, and am about to bust because I ate as much as I could hold. Even at that though, I am thinking of that peach pie. I’m not sure it’ll make it until tomorrow… Bottom line: great food, exceptionally friendly staff and worth the drive. As General MacArthur said, «I shall return.»

Hit and Miss. Having read all the hype about this place, I’ve anxiously anticipated seeing if this is the Burger Joint that tops the list, and while some items are homeruns, others fall way short for me to crown Chophouse the best Burger Restaurant in DFW. First, for the good, The Chop House Burger is outstanding! Great flavor in the Patty, a Bun that can hold up and not fall apart halfway through, and the topping work great. Also, a great burger(which does not appear on their online menu, features Ham, Onion, Parmesan Cheese and Italian Dressing — very good. In the Good category, The Carolina Pork Burger, the Cole Slaw and BBQ Sauce blend nicely, but the regular toppings(Lettuce & Tomato) take away from the flavor — I’d recommend going without them on this Burger. Also good are the Crispy Fajita Balls; full of flavor with Zesty Cheese, Onion, Pepper and Tomato flavors with a crunchy batter. The Fries are very good, but also very salty, and the biggest disappointment was the Blackened Bleu Burger. This is served on a Hoagie Bun(I don’t know why, except that the patty is formed oblong for some reason) the Burger was small and tasted burnt because of all the blackened seasoning. It was more of a Bread-bowl Salad topped with Bleu Cheese and Blackened Ground Beef — I wouldn’t recommend it. All-in-all, not without merit, but it didn’t meet my lofty expectations. The Chop House Burger is worth the trip, but the rest are too inconsistent.

I almost lost it when I went to the old location to find them closed. Fortunately they had just moved down the street. The last time I was there they had a display showing the chef had won an award for his chicken Caesar salad, so that’s what I had to try this time and it was good. Like one in ten Caesar salads but this one stood out. We haven’t left yet and I already can’t wait to come back

My sister and I came here with a groupon and we thought it was great all around. The prices were good(though we did have a groupon) the service was great, very spacious, awesome burgers and sides and they had those natural cane sugar soft drinks. Someone else we talked to said that he was a bit frustrated with the service when he went, but my sister and I went right when they opened at 11, so maybe that’s why we didn’t encounter any issues. Regardless, they were all very kind and took the time to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Would gladly go back.

I start this by saying, my husband and I love the food. It has to be the best burger in Arlington in our opinion. But why the two stars… We have never been treated so poorly as we were by Chef and Owner Kenny Mills on what will have to be our last visit to Chop House Burgers in Arlington. We have been regular customers at the Chop House for about 4 years. We were so happy when we found it as we are a fan of a good burger. The fries and onion rings are great too. We ordered our burgers medium(they are normally served medium well unless requested). They were a bit under done in our opinion. We found a very nice server. Apologized for being a pain and sent them back. A then, confrontational manger came out to explain to us that the burgers according to the chef were cooked medium and what would we like. We explained that we did not feel that they were medium. Her response«so what it is that you want. You want the cooked longer. Because the chef says they are medium.» My husband responds«does he want to argue. Yes, please cook them a little more.» 5 minutes later. Kenny Mills comes out to our table, gives us our money back and says something like«it’s a good thing he owns the restaurant and he is not going to serve us». So we left. Thank you Kenny Mills for your public display of maturity. For all those that go to Chop House Burgers, just accept the food as it is served to you. Kenny Mills can’t handle it if you send it back. Good bye Chop House. We will miss the food.

I ordered just the original burger. OMG. Sometimes, bigger is not always better. The burger(which is a mixture of brisket and ground beef) was enormous. I got the onions for a side and they were equally as large. The flavor was great! The issue was that it was so juicy I had to hold it the whole time because when I laid it down, the bun got soggy. It was hard to get my mouth around the ginormous onion rings with only one hand! Thank goodness there was an entire roll of paper towels. This messiness will not keep me from returning! They also have tons of pie(sliced and fried). I had pecan, and it was just«ok» but I think I might be a pie snob, so let’s just say it was really good. In case you are wondering, I only ate half of the burger and half of the onion rings. I bought the pie to take home and eat later.

Burgers are delicious! I went to the location in Pantego, not sure if this is the same one. The place is huge and was pretty empty when we arrived at about 4:30 pm for a late lunch. The burgers are about 10 bucks but well worth it. Depending on your appetite, you could share one burger between two people. The basket of fries is def shareable. FYI — Noticed the BYOB sign on the window for those who like to drink. My only recommendation would be to clean up the place a bit as it seemed a bit grimmy but the food was great.

Chef Mills what happened? I was a loyal fan of your original store and its food — deservingly the Best Burger in Town! Since your move west to Pantego it’s like a different restaurant. The smell of your store is revolting– I should smell burgers and fries instead I smell rotten eggs and sewer gas. Your signature Ten Pepper Burger has gotten progressively worse each time I’ve had it at the new location. Today the burger had twice the lettuce and pickles it should have, was undercooked, and lacked basic flavor. Based on the 10 people that were there today at 12:30 and the abysmal crowds I have seen on my previous two visits to the new location I’m not the only one who has lost their taste for Chop. I feel you established your brand and then threw out everything that brand was. I see a failing restaurant and an owner who no longer cares for the details and the desire to please his loyal customers.

Dry burgers wet buns cold floppy fries and really bad smell to the place that they said was because of the building being old. However, the onion rings weren’t bad but they didn’t cook long enough the insides were doughy.

$ 2.95 for small bits of avocado… My bottom bun was soggy from the patty/pickle juice… Soggy fries, both regular and sweet potatoe. Two burgers(added avocado) and two fries were $ 38! Good to try once– but for the cost and minimal effort– I’d rather grill the burger at home with all the fixins! Two stars.

I’m kind of sad about the degeneration of Chophouse Burgers. Recently they consolidated into the old steakhouse location on Park Row, next to David’s BBQ. We took the family out for Saturday night supper and the first thing we noticed was the smell. It was a mixture of sewer gases and rotten eggs. We noticed a box fan set up near the entrance(maybe in an attempt to dispel the odor). The next thing that was apparent was the virtually empty dining room. It’s after 6pm on a Saturday night and there’s almost no one in the dining room(probably as a result of the lingering odor). I asked the girl at the counter about the smell and she sheepishly replied as if she was unaware. No matter, we ordered our meal. 2 burgers, 2 kids meals, 2 sides and 3 drinks later; our bill came to $ 44 with tax and tip! Not a problem, except the food was just marginal in taste and way too salty. The disparity between quality and price combined with the offensive odor was more than we could bear. Aside from the service, which was quick and friendly, the remainder of the experience was disappointing. I’m afraid we won’t be back. I hope they turn things around. Until then, I would recommend going to Fork In The Road, Kincaid’s, or Twisted Root, all of which are far better and within a 5 mile drive from Chophouse.

I heard they were moving, and stumbled on the new location while running errands on a cold, rainy Monday. The dining room is huge compare to the old space. There is a bar on one end(no alcohol served, though), and an elevated stage on another end. What I really wanted to point out was Chop House has open mic on Friday and Saturday nights. Contact Hailey or Emily if you are musically inclined(family-friendly stuff, so no tossing blood or biting the heads off bats) and have your own equipment. And they have pie. Awesome pie.
