Great room with a super comfortable bed and bedding. We loved the breakfast and the staff were incredibly nice.

Very hospitable. They had window replacement going on and they sent me to two rooms both that were in the process of replacing windows. They owned up real quick and apologized profusely and slipped a $ 25 Amazon gift card under the door with a another card of apology. Hospitality and service industry is hard, I appreciate their gesture by giving them 4 stars.

Independently owned franchise. Free coffee/tea, fresh cookies, bottles of water, apples/oranges, free wifi. Clean rooms and decent lobby although the printer is a little slow. Friendly and responsive staff. Breakfast is plentiful and variety of options for this grade of hotel. Can eat healthy if you want. For a few nights of business, this place is great. Close to the airport, downtown, and businesses. Will always stay here when I’m in Appleton.

My husband and I have stayed in many different Hampton Inn’s as we both travel alot and he has frequent hotel points. We traveled up here for the Packers game this weekend. We rented two rooms as there are others traveling with us. One thing I must say is that it is extremely disappointing that this is the first Hampton Inn that we have stayed at that doesn’t have a mini fridge or microwave in the rooms. It is also rather loud with the adjoining door. We also requested a low floor away from the elevators and what happens!? 4th(top) floor and you guessed it… right next to the elevators and ice machine! People were loud getting ice at all hours of the night. The room we got with 2 queen beds for our friends is rather small… I wouldn’t want to have to share a room that size with 3 people. I must say on our next trip in town we will opt to go further north to Green Bay and stay. It will be closer to the game and hopefully quieter with at least a mini fridge and microwave.

I stayed at the Hampton in Appleton for a week for work. The room was OK, but especially for longer stays, it would be nice to have a few more amenities — a small fridge, etc. They offer one single-serve coffee maker, which was fine. I was able to use it for tea without issue. But for someone who likes their own brand or flavor of coffee, the maker would not work for you as it takes special cartridges to do anything other than make hot water. If you get stuck in a room with an adjoining door, be aware that the door is not at all sound-proof and you can hear conversations(normal volume, I might add) with no issue. Nose blowing, toilet flushing, water running, and other *ahem* noises come through perfectly well. For someone that has to get up early to work the next day(i.e. if you want to get a bit of sleep at a decent hour), that was probably the MOST annoying part of my stay. Drowning out the people next door was a problem on all but one night, and that was because nobody was there the first night I was checked in. The fitness center was more than adequate, and better than other hotels I’ve stayed in. They have two treadmills, an elliptical, a recumbant bike and a variety of weights. The pool is small and unimpressive, but nice that it’s available. The breakfast leaves much to be desired. The fruits were browning and not real appetizing, and most of the rest of breakfast was a mix of standard fare — toast, eggs, cereals, and a small selection of yogurts. Nothing exciting. The only reason I stayed at this hotel is because it was stipulated through work. Otherwise I’d have stayed at the Comfort Suites, which is where I stayed the last time I traveled to Appleton for work. This hotel is nothing to write home about, but it’s OK. Ask for a room that isn’t adjoined, and you’ll probably enjoy your stay more than I have.

Decided to stay here after I was unable to get two rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Oshkosh. Tried the Hilton Garden Inn in Appleton but they wanted a 3 day cancellation notice when using points(WTF right? This Hampton Inn lets you go until 6pm on day of check in to cancel). Turns out this was an awesome choice. Friendly staff on check in and it literally took about 30 seconds for her to hand me my keys. We actually had two rooms for this stay and during my online booking(on HHonors) I requested adjoinig rooms. This request was honored and all set up for our arrival. Once in the room I was very pleasantly surprised. The hotel has apparently been remodeled and they are tastefully done. The rooms were very clean and smelled fresh. No left over hairs in the sink or on the floor(a pet peeve of mine… when maids leave that kind of crap it just shows they don’t care). The lighting in the room is very good and there were additional outlets on the bureau that the tv sat on. Very handy since we had 6 people each with a cell phone and a couple iPads(good grief!). The breakfast is the typical Hampton Inn stuff but the lady that took care of the breakfast area was very attentive and showed pride in her work. I would definitely book a room here again without a doubt. And that recommendation is coming from a guy that is Diamond member at Hilton and probably a «hotel snob»… LOL.

My husband and I got a super deal on our room here. The rooms have all been newly updated and painted. We were welcomed upon arrival, the staff was all very friendly and nice. Everything was super clean and the amenities were nice. Free continental breakfast, free wi-fi, and a decent pool /hot tub area. It made our stay a nice one. Thanks Hampton Inn!

I’ve stayed at three different hamptons throughout my travels this year and this one isn’t any better than the others. The internet access is not great, but if you are going to stay at a Hampton you might as well take advantage of the free(although beit not healthy) breakfast. Yet in this location the breakfast(especially the fruit) is so unappetizing that I’d rather stay at another hotel and pay for breakfast.

Little extras made this chain inn stand out. Two ottomans in front of the sofa included in the king bed room were a nice addition, the mini rubber duck sitting on the bath mat brought a touch of whimsy, and individual brewed coffee was divine for both the caffinated and decaf drinker. Free continental breakfast was adequate with ample seating in a pleasant atmosphere. Once the road construction is through, this can also be pegged as easily accessible

Wow, we could’ve done a lot worse booking a room three days before graduation weekend at Lawrence University! We had no idea Appleton would be a beehive of traveler activity, and wondered why rooms were so hard to come by. Perhaps because Hampton Inn’s pricepoint is slightly higher than your standard crap chain, people were opting for other hotel shores. Silly them! We loved our little double double room with ample desk space, a nice hip red chair and TV that we never turned on. The whole place was clean as a whistle. The kids enjoyed the somewhat small pool, and the hot tub. I like that the pool area goes 18+ after 10pm. Whether or not anyone actually uses it, it’s nice to know Hampton is not about kids running around all night. I didn’t take part in the free continental breakfast but the kids had enough to tide them over until lunch! Nice. No visit to the Machine Shed needed! Lawrence University is a straight shot down College Ave., Time Warner Field is very close, and so is the Mall. Let the bargain seekers have the Super 8, as you enjoy the clean comfortable Hampton Inn, Appleton.

the hampton inn is like the little engine that could. as a hilton affiliate, the hampton is attempting to change its image from a «hey its slightly better than your local motel 6» to a very full service oriented operation. they are trying and they are trying hard. for example, if you forget your toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, or other various crap that you tend to leave behind in other hotels or at home in your neatly packed overnight bag that you forgot on your way out the door, just stop by the hampton inn front desk and they have some toiletries for you. thats nice of them. they also provide a continental breakfast with their own version of the egg mcmuffin. its not good, but they try. i stick to the cereal. you can’t go wrong with cereal. this hampton has a «gym» which consists of the smallest room known to man crammed with a treadmill, stairmaster, and excercise bike. there’s just enough room for you to move in between the machines. you can even turn the tv on from the treadmill. just lean over. even though its small, it is nice that they at least have something. i hate going to hotels that incourage me to get fatter. bastards. anyway, they also have a nice indoor pool. i couldn’t see how they could have an outdoor pool as you would freeze your ass off in a matter of seconds in the wisconsin winter weather. the rooms are decent. i guess they put in these beds along the same vein as the sheratons. you know, the down comforter ones with the fluffy pillows that number in the millions and attempt to smother you in the night. i tend to kick off most of the pillows save two. one for my head… one for the arm that holds the remote control. i’m lazy. i like the little single serve coffee/tea maker in the room and the fact that they have free wireless throughout the place. thats always especially when you realize there is absolutely nothing to do at night. the hampton inn at appleton is not a bad place to hole up and stay warm.
