Jack in the Box

Oooooo. Bad bad Jack-​in-​the-​Box. I feel lucky that my breakfast muffin thing with the stone-​cold cheese didn’t land me in the bathroom the rest of the day. It seemed like an OK idea at the time but I’ll avoid this place next time I need a breakfast greasebomb on my drive home.

I stopped at this jack in the box and placed an order at 620 pm. At 640 pm I still didn’t have my food. I asked if the order was almost ready and the person at the counter had to go ask someone else. That guy came up to the counter and tells me the order didn’t transfer from the register to the kitchen. I asked for a refund at that point and was told ok hold on. Then the clerk at the counter started bagging up what was supposed to be my order that didn’t transfer to the kitchen. I looked at what she gave me and it wasn’t even the right food. Plus it looked like it had been sitting under the warmer for quite a while. I again asked for a refund and she had to go get someone else to do the refund. The 2 people who ordered after me were also asking for refunds because they didn’t have any food either.
I finally got my refund and left.
Never go to this jack in the box if actually want food to eat. You may never get it. Horrible service even for fast food.

Went here for the ONLY available late night meal after returning from a long night in the city. The girl at the drive-​through informed us their «system is down,» so they couldn’t take our order. We ate 7 – 11 food, which was not nearly as satisfying at ALL. When you’re the only late-​night fast food and your commercials boast your late-​night meals, it would be best to be open at night. Since when did it require a computer to make a hamburger? Is it possible to take orders on paper? As a former food service employee, this struck me as really odd. So gross eating 7 – 11 3:30 AM microwaved frozen food. :(

Being a former employee, you can say I am a bit biased, but will admit that the food quality has improved since I last worked for them over 20 years ago.
I think of all the hamburger joints, Jack-​In-​The Box has the better quality of all. I also know they have more experimental and high end burgers compared to Wendy’s or McDonald’s.
Tonight, I opted for some chicken strips and egg rolls, and tried their new Nacho Taco. The egg rolls and chicken strips are nothing spectacular. Their Tacos can be a bit flat (I prefer the Taco Bell style) but I find it more flavorful than Taco Bell. Their Nacho Taco adds jalapeño peppers and it’s actually quite good.
Service is nothing special and nothing worth noting but then again, it’s expected.

I go to this Jack every once in a while and I honestly can’t complain. I haven’t had a bad experience here. Keeping my fingers crossed. Lol this spot is a great place to come, especially on the late nights. :) Breakfast Jacks or tacos… Winning!

OK so Ive actually been here three times but this place gets one review.
The first time was fine, went through the drive trough, young woman took my order, got to the window (she was cute, :)), food was already ready (only order 4 tacos). 5 stars I guess
This is where things go bad…
Second time go through the drive through, guy behind me in his mini van got enraged over the fact I wanted to change my original order. He got out of his car and stood with one leg in, one leg out his car yelling hurry up. After I opened my door, he then proceeded to waddle back into his seat. Had no idea fast food mad people crazy.
Third time I decided to dine in, yes I know fast food is terrible for you blah blah blah. I had a craving for an oreo cookie shake and wanted to read a magazine before class. I order, received my drink sit down and start to read. Out of no where I hear LOUD laughter from behind the counter but out of view. I think to myself coworkers must be goofing around. Then the tone changes, a girl screams and says: WHAT THE F#$K?! THATS SO GROSS, GO WASH DAMN YOUR HANDS. I think ok thats weird, but then another person (I assume with the dirty hands) say NAHHH its cool I already washed them after break…
THE HELL WITH THAT, I STOPPED DRINKING MY MILKSHAKE, LEFT IT AT THE TABLE AND LEFT
The actual store front and dining area is crazy clean thou.
