Wings Over Amherst

I used to be a huge fan of the hangar, now when we order take out, you get this crap. I haven’t had one good order of wings from this place. Not to mention I have yet to have a good meal at the «new» hangar. Call me old school but I want the original hangar back!!! Atleast Arizona pizza down the street has killer wings.

Good wings but order screwed up. Wanted bone in got boneless. Ordered by count and still got boneless. The two girls were flakes.

Get the boneless wings, with sweet onion sauce. Sweet onion is the best by far; seriously, don’t even bother with any of the other flavors.
In terms of service, it’s not bad. You can order via their website, so I don’t have to undergo the strenuous ordeal of actually calling someone over the phone. If you order on an off-​time, the wings come in 20 minutes or less. If you order (like we did) on Halloween night or some other peak time, expect to be waiting forever and ever (maybe 1 – 1.5 hours?).

Very disappointed in the wings. The only reason I gave them two stars is because the service was good. Ordered garlic parm wings for delivery for lunch. They came and had no flavor and were extremely dry. I called and spoke to a manager who was very nice and she said she could either give me a credit towards my next order or send out another order. I chose another order since I wasn’t sure if I’d order again. The second order was still very dry and didn’t have much more flavor. Maybe it’s just the garlic parm that is an issue but I don’t want to waste more money trying to figure it out. The service of the person I spoke to when ordering, the delivery person, and the manager were all very nice, unfortunately the wings were not good.

This weekend we were traveling through Amherst and had an incredible urge to grab some Wings to go. Wings has been one of our go-​to restaurants in Amherst since being undergrad students at UMass. In the years we have been there they have moved their take-​out operation to this new locations which is conveniently located near the Big Y.
When we ordered over over the phone the employee was nice and quickly took our order. When we arrived we were in and out quickly but when we got home we were slightly disappointed by food. The wings themselves were great as always but the new takeout containers are flimsy and accumulated moisture in the 20 minutes it took to get home. This resulted in some soggy fries… The other slight disappointment was the fact that they now use generic blue cheese to-​go containers. This means that it doesn’t taste as good but overall it did the trick.
That being said, we continue to love this restaurant and Wings hold a special place in our hearts. We will continue to either grab take-​out here or head over to the Hanger for a sit down meal!

I haven’t had these wings in close to 10 years, but they were the best wings i’ve ever had. they have a great variety of flavors (honey bbq is excellent, as well as garlic parmesan), and the boneless wings are huge. they are open late and deliver. highly recommend.

Had a delivery order from them… right at requested time, food nice and hot. Wing flavors variety excellent.
