First I like the size of the store. I don’t need hiking shoes to get from bananas to the milk –unlike Stop N Shop. I don’t need an aisle of ethic foods. If you do, go to stop n shop. Second Big Y is clean and we’ll stocked. The deli and prepared food are good to great. In and out in no time. Good selection and clean. Why go anywhere else?

Definitely cheaper than Stop&Shop. Great weekly deals and coin deals. If you’re unfamiliar with BigY, they give out these silver and gold coins where you can use them to pay a lower price on certain goods throughout the store (like dairy products, bread, fruits, etc).
Very affordable prices, and definitely cheaper than neighboring supermarkets. If you don’t believe me, grab their weekly flyers and compare prices!
Clean, always friendly staff, and always very helpful. Produce is always fresh and weekly sales always have something worth buying.

Went here today because the sales looked really good and Stop & Shop’s looked really bad. What a mistake. Everything is still so expensive. We bought a couple sale items then left and had to go to Stop & Shop anyway. The one good thing I can say about this place is the sushi is really good. Like, restaurant-​quality good. But other than that, there is no real reason to shop here unless you plan on going for the sales and then going to Stop & Shop to buy everything else.

Big Y has a theory, where is you have amazing deals on 3 items, then people will overlook the fact you are overcharging on EVERYTHING else. I am not one of those people. Go to stop and shop and thank me later
