This franchise is one owned by «The Colonel, «who apparently was an owner of the year or franchise of the year at some point a few years ago. My review is based on my experience– I hope yours was better. To start, you will jockey with the delivery drivers for a spot to park if you’re picking up your pizza. Inside was a cacophony of flour, sauce and noise. Every worker in sight was covered in something. The person at the register was curt and nowhere near polite. On the phone when he took my order he spoke so fast, and mumbled through his memorized message, I hesitated getting upset because I thought that he may have a speaking disorder. But when I arrived to pick up the pizza I saw that he was just apathetic and holding the phone under his chin, looking at the ceiling and looking like this was the last place on earth he wanted to be. I’m big on customer service, and he is he reason I will try Dominos or Paisanos next time. The pizza was ok, pepperoni and cheese with banana peppers, nothing special about it. Reasonably priced, but the customer service has left me looking for somewhere other than the«Franchise of the year» to get pizza from.

I bought a pizza from this location first time in awhile, I ordered online. I picked the pizza up, they had a good amount of people waiting on their pizzas. I didn’t have to wait, mine was ready. The store was clean and the pizza area was clean looking also. My pizza was hot and very good!!! I was impressed!!!

This Papa Johns unfortunately is the closest to my house. They consistently disapoint. The people that answer the phones don’t listen to you. When you call up to complain after not receiving what you ordered, the same person you want to complain about, claims he is the manager but he is the one answering the phone. I have a feeling that is because he knows you are going to complain and he doesn’t transfer you to a manager, even when asked to multiple times. I am done with this Papa Johns.

Crust is way too sugary sweet; toppings are meager. Not cheap, but one of the few places that delivers to Fort Hunt. Note to pizza places: Add FH to your delivery area. You could kick Papa John’s ass.

We have not ordered from PJ’s for awhile. Since the Nats won, we used the coupon code to order two thin crust pizzas. Worst. Pizza. Ever. And that includes store brand frozen pizzas. Very little evidence of toppings, cheese«food» instead of real cheese. Even with the best of coupons, we will not waste our time and money again. A cracker dipped in Ragu would have been tastier. Better ingredients? I don’t think so.

My favorite pizza chain. Don’t get the cookie pie. It’s the devil. Do get their thin crust pizza and skip all the extra dough. The carbs in a thin crust large will be equivalent to a small size pizza. Also, the thin crust comes with a seasoning that is so much better than that artificial garlic sauce. Do order online. Do sign up for their emails. They always email you coupons or deals to get free pizza.

In general I prefer other pizza spots and can’t really understand the obsession with papa johns. They are much more expensive than dominos and not tons better. Pizza Hut is the mcdonalds of pizza and good for an indulgence once in a while. Ledos is far superior and not much more expensive if any when you compare the sizes. Lots of other local joints are good as well. I do recognize that if there is a good sale going on during a football game or March madness, or currently the 30 year anniversary, that it isn’t such a bad choice. They have some interesting options and hold up as leftovers far better than dominos. This location wasn’t bad and had everything fresh and on time. They didn’t really answer the phone though so I recommend online ordering via the website or mobile site/app. They have the deals on there and it is really easy to use.

I switched from Pizza Hut & Domino’s years ago to Papa John’s because I fell in love with the quality and the taste and the extras like the garlic sauce & hot peppers included in the box. Unfortunately now some(maybe) eight years later, this particular location is tanking. I have filed many complaints regarding delivery time and then the pizza not being correct. The district manager always comes back with here’s a coupon for a free one-topping pizza — it doesn’t fix anything and really you should be making a better effort to give the customer what they did not get! The manager(Babboo(however you spell it)), was accommodating and did give me two free pizza’s to be exactly how I ordered the ones I complained about(always a supreme). This last episode though has tainted my opinion to where I’m going back to Domino’s(which has greatly improved their taste etc.), ZPizza, or Ledo’s(which I grew up next to the original one and I love it) — anywhere but this particular Papa John’s. Not only did they use my points(I thought the girl was honoring my manager’s free pizza) when I called to order my FREE pizza(which was the one Babboo gave me) and I now have ½ my points, when I got my pizza it was tasteless, skimpy on toppings, and the banana peppers I added were thrown on as an afterthough. They were cold, and not cooked. We threw most of the pizza away! Papa John Schnatter better start paying attention to the problems out in the field, or his company will be sinking before his eyes!

It is cheaper to buy ex-lax direct from the pharmacy. Had the cheese sticks. They didn’t look right. Never had this problem with PJ will never order from this location again. Had to shower 3 times in the middle of the night.

This was the worse pizza ever. Tasteless sauce, cold and the thin crust tasted like pastry dough!

One of the worst pizza joints I’ve ever ordered a pizza from. I am confident in saying that I will probably never order a Papa Johns pizza again.

It is a happy thing to have a Papa John’s close to home! Seriously — as I mentioned in another review, the closest italian pizza joint to where I live just doesn’t cut the mustard when it comes to producing a tasty pizza — soooo, Papa John’s makes up for this otherwise sad development! I’m always happy to receive a tasty piping hot pizza from this location and would give it props to anyone for timely delivery as well but it helps to live very close to their shop of course :)
