Papa John’s Pizza

I’ve been to this particular Papa John’s twice now and every time I come here the service has been incredible. This is the Chick-​Fil-​A of all Papa John’s; everyone has always been friendly and approachable. I’m always asked if I have everything I need and I even had someone get the door for me both times. If you’re ordering carry out in the Alexandria area I highly recommend you come to this particular Papa John’s.

Ordered delivery via the app and was pleased to find all my info from two plus years ago was still in their system and that my rewards points hadn’t expired. Free pizza anyone? YES!
Long study session on a Saturday wouldn’t be complete without a pizza pie for sustenance. Have been ordering from some of the local Mom-​N-​Pop joints since I moved into this place, but I got a hankering for good ‘olé reliable Papa John’s and their delicious garlic sauce.
Ordered my usual (extra sauce, pineapple, ham and onion — yeah, I know) and a ginger ale. Pre-​tipped and wish I hadn’t, but the delivery came on time and while the delivery didn’t make it up to my door, I met him in the lobby and he was pleasant enough. Brought me an orange crush instead of ginger ale, which I hate, and he offered to fix it, but I didn’t want to have to go back down and get it so I told him to forget it. Still… a ginger ale would have been nice.
I’ll probably order again — have a free pizza coming my way, after all.

I am really surprised by the reviews here on Unilocal.Didn’t feel like cooking so went with a pizza night. I ordered the buffalo wings and a large pepperoni pizza and it hit the spot. It is the only pizza delivery in the area that has been consistently enjoyable for me. I thought the order came quickly and looked tasty. I also ordered delivery so didn’t get to see the store. I am very picky… if I saw the messy store than I probably wouldn’t have ordered.

Not good service at all. I called in and asked what the specials were only to find out later when I went online that I could’ve gotten the $ 25 family special (2 larges) for a cheaper price than the (1) large and (1) small that I ordered for $ 30. The guy could’ve specifically mentioned that particular special before order was placed but didn’t. What a rip off… never ordering by phone from this place again.

Order from here every other week for the last two years. Always really nice drivers and have never had a mistake. Sometimes pick up from their store on the way home. Stopped by tonight a little before pizza was ready. As I waited I noticed the place seemed really clean. I appreciated that a lot. Also all of the folks working there seemed to be happy and friends. It was nice to see that too. I’ll keep ordering from here especially now.

I’ve ordered both delivery and carry out from this location several times. Every time, they are always very nice, courteous, and on time. They make sure the product is correct. I can’t stress how clean and neatly organized they keep the actual store, and they’re very professional and just nice. They always open the door for you when you leave. Great management here and I continue coming back for these reasons. Highly recommend.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I will never ever order another pizza from this location. The pizza I got from them was quite literally the most tasteless horrible pizza I’ve had in my entire life. It was also the first Papa John’s Pizza I’ve had, so I don’t know if this is any worse than other Papa John’s locations, or if they’re all just that bad.

Unfortunately this the location that delivers to my house. I have quit ordering pizza because their drivers can never figure out how to get in to our building. This is the only delivery service I have this issue with. If I wanted to get myself together and go down to the entrance I would go across the street to faccia Luna and get a good pizza.

I don’t know where there are so many bad reviews… this by far one of the best PaPaJohns I had in a long time…

It’s a typical Papa John’s.

I’m not sure why the other reviews are so bad.
My review is really a 3.5.
For anyone who hasn’t had Papa John’s, it’s not NY or Chicago style, it’s kind of inbetween, little thicker crust and smaller slicing than NY and not pan crust (unless you order it). It’s more a CA style pizza if that makes any sense.
We had quick, friendly service, the pizza was one of the better pizzas from a Papa John’s that we’ve gotten in the area, the other other one that was better was out in Fairfax, so in this immediate area, it’s good.
The thing I like about Papa John’s is the cheese they use — it’s never greasy, it’s mostly milk and it melts fantastically, even for leftovers.
We ordered the sausage and peppers pizza deal once, while I wasn’t a fan of the actual pizza, it was still made very well and my boyfriend loved it. I’ll go back to ordering my normal pizza, though, instead of the deals.

Wrong order, wouldn’t replace or refund. Don’t waste your time or money. Go elsewhere. Good in a pinch.

Standard corporate pizza joint. They did forget some toppings once. They also type CC info into their computer instead of swiping it in a reader. Sketch?
