I wish I could give another half star, but since that is not an option, I will have to go with 4 because I have not stayed in another BCN hotel yet and giving it 5, may not be right for now. The hotel entry and lobby were really cool and modern looking, very inviting. The hotel staff spoke English and was very helpful upon arrival as well. We were able to early check-in with ease as well which was an added bonus(after flying all night, it was nice to be able to freshen up and not have to wait several hours to do so). Being located in L’Eixample, the hotel could not be better located. It was awesome because although BCN is very touristy, this area seemed to be less crazy. There was so much nearby for those times that we wanted to stay closer to the hotel. Our room was nice. I did not expect it to be large being that were in Europe. Anyone who is expecting a huge hotel room, be cautioned, you won’t likely find it here. It was modernly decorated, large windows, and was clean. Cannot complain. There is a rooftop bar and deck next to the small pool. It is small, but really nice as well. If there is a FC Barcelona game, they may even have an event in the meeting room — food and bevvies provided for a small charge(Ours was $ 25 Euros– so cheap!). If you are visiting BCN and like to explore and walk a lot, as I mentioned, this location was great. It was in the middle of everything and near the metro(we walked 10 – 15 miles a day and did not opt to use it though). For those who are active and like to walk around a lot and explore, you can easily do so from the Hotel Granados 83. We are already planning our next trip to Barcelona, and the Hotel Granados 83 is definitely a hotel we are considering once again because of our great experience there. The price was more than reasonable as well!

Clean Modern hotel. We came here for the last few days of our trip in Barcelona. It was $$$, however, it was one of the few hotels available over the weekend during a high tourist season. The room amenities were awesome. You get a full set of shampoo, conditioner, body and shower gel in a nice cosmetic bag. You get a full personal care kit. The shower is large so there is space to move around, however, there is no tub. On our last few days we really needed this so that we could soak our feet from our walking. Beggars can’t be choosers since our last hotel could barely fit a single person in the shower. They have free Wifi, however, logging in is a bit of a pain than it really needs to be. They have slippers and bath robes for two. This was appreciated so that we could relax a little bit after. The hotel staff is the nicest that we have experienced so far in Spain. When you check into the hotel they give you a free ticket to the Egyptian Museum(we didn’t use it) and they give you a sheet of safety tips for tourists. They also hook you up with a map, however, that meant shit to us ’cause getting around Barcelona is confusing(not really good with directions and maps). My best friend who is like the human GPS even had some frustrations navigating the city. They speak enough English. They have a breakfast buffet for 18 Euro each. It is pricey for a buffet. Check out was a bit of a gong show. It wasn’t the fault of the people at the desk. They were trying to resolve a customer service related issue that we knew was going to take long. We had a train to catch to the airport, therefore, left our keys at the front desk with a post it note and left. We just didn’t have time to waste and wait in fear of missing our flight. P. S. Instead of a pen they give you a pencil.

The Derby hotels team behind the original Barcelona boutique hotel the Hotel Claris, opened this coup, Hotel Granados 83 in March 2006. Like falling into a pool of chocolate — warm wood panelling, rough red bricks, rusted metal and soft colour schemes soothe a traveller’s soul. A former hospital, the hotel is situated in the heart of the shopping district near Passeo de Gracia. 77 rooms are spread over 7 floors, with an event room for 40 in the basement, a roof terrace for 70 people for a reception, and a first floor restaurant for 50 with its own courtyard. COmpact and homely, this is a great hang out to stay in the heart of the city.

Granados 83 is a clean and thoroughly modern hotel just far enough from the madness of the main tourist areas to afford calm. Thus, it feels like Barcelona, not Disneyland. Fifteen minute walk down the tree lined streets and you are in the midst of Barri Gotic, or perhaps strolling to The Palau de la Música Catalana, or even magnificent la Boqueria. Granados 83 is clean, quiet and feels more like a condo in the City than a hotel. A great roof top bar compliments a day of exploration — and Barcelona is for exploration. The staff was exceptional, the optional buffet breakfast was convenient and delicious. We walked mostly, but a cab was never more than a few minutes away. It is not a raucous place, not a party place — but neither is it a big, indifferent cement box. It feels alive, it is designed to do this, yet it is subdued. Highly recommended. We’re middle aged, felt at home and connected to the City.

Hotel de cuatro estrellas situado en Barcelona. Su decoración es vanguardista y lujosa. Ambiente tranquilo. Sus inatalaciones nuevas y bien cuidadas hacen que sea un hotel de máximo confort. La habitación espaciosa, decorada con muy buen gusto, con todo los complementos necesarios. El baño muy completo. Me gustó muchísimo.
