Food in an airport can actually be really really good! I would not have believed this but now I have been to Mash I know it to be true. Waiting for our plane we wandered the airport searching for this place. Don’t give up. The airport is huge and it’s at the far away end. We went with American cut steaks and fries as they were the cheapest steak on the menu. That was still 25 pounds each. They came with salad and loads of bearnaise sauce. It was all awesome. Cooked to perfection and just big enough to fill you up completely. I had there draft IPA on the side and it was also excellent. Service was super quick and efficient. If your on a deadline they will meet it. This place is definitely worth trying. Although like any airport restaurants don’t expect much atmosphere.

Summary: One of the nicest steaks I’ve had. Get the mashed potatoes. American cut is good if you’re on a budget. They specialize in getting you to your flight, so try it. I love that Copenhagen has taken it’s reputation for food to the airport. See my review of Hilton Hotel Copenhagen for the full scoop if you’re a visitor. Where is it? Its between gates A and B on the left if you are walking toward Terminal A. You’ll see the sign and will then need to go upstairs. If you are coming from the Hilton, you need to pass security in Terminal 3 and then head toward B. Atmosphere: It’s a bit nicer and more restaurant than some of the other options in the terminal. They are trying to match the standards of their restaurant in downtown area. I chose a booth which was quite comfy. Service: Very prompt. They get it. This might be your last delicious steak before leaving to parts unknown. MASH works to make it happen. Food: Delicious. I had the Danish Ribeye appox 10oz. It was cooked a perfect medium rare. The smallest thing they have is a 200g appx 7oz American steak and comes with fries. They explained that they get their American beef by the slab and it has cuts of rib eye and strip. The piece in question sounded like a Tri-Tip, which is a pretty good cut. Budget people should take that. Bacon Mash potatoes were a fantastically whipped consistency with thick cut bacon on top. A definite Yes. Ceasar salad is a pass for now. It’s fine, but it doesn’t have the crispy flair you expect if you are an American. Other Notes: This place does not have steak knifes. Apparently some smart a$$ reporter, trying to prove a point, had a steak there, stole a steak knife, went to his plane and upon boarding said, I want you to know that I was able to bring a steak knife on this plane. You have terrible security. Knives were removed from MASH that afternoon. I fly a lot. Airport security is important. Holding up a plane with a gun, I can see. A Steak Knife? I am envisioning a Jet Li movie as I cut my steak with a butter knife feeling a bit of enmity for the reporter.

This was a lucky find. we arrived and were very hungry. I wanted a burger, but their menu persuaded me to get a steak instead. They have a very good selection of steaks. Uruguay, American, Danish Ecological and Waigu beef(Yes, that Japanese one where they massage the bulls!) We were greeted and seated in a nice booth overlooking air-planes arriving and leaving Terminal F. The menu offers a variety of cuts of the above mentioned beef. I went with the Danish 72 days hung rump with pepper sauce and Anita for an Uruguayan Sirloin and Bearnaise. As a side we ordered some chili fries and mayo and a salad. One Mash beer and a Red wine This all came to a total of 780DKK. Around £80. Pricey? Yes, very much so — but this is what we are used to in airports. Tasty? Definitely! I was so tempted to try the Waigu, but as that came to a 650DKK per 200gr cut that was a no. The beef cannot be ordered any more than medium cooked. No problem as I like it rare to medium anyway. A nice touch is the fact they check how long you have before you fly out and you can order the bill in advance.
