It is slightly hidden away but you can find it by looking for the red cow in front of the Tivoli Hotel. Once you make it up to the 12th floor, they kindly take your coat and give you a number to claim it later. WOW. If you need to take a meat-lover on a date, bring ‘em here. Not only can you see beautiful steaks flying by you to other patrons and more meat hanging to dry in a glass case, the view over the city is incredible. Bring your camera, especially if you are there around sunset! The interior is also beautiful and the bar looked inviting as well. The first thing we got was some bread and butter and though it tasted good, it was a little too cold for my taste. Luckily the MASH burger(175 dkk) arrived soon after so I didn’t have to wait long. It comes with chili fries and an onion ring; unfortunately I thought it would be fries with some chili con carne on top so I was a little sad. They were average but the kick from the chili powder was appreciated. While the onion ring was perfectly crispy, there was too much batter. Now the burger is almost perfectly constructed. The bun had a hint of sweetness and was slightly dry, but that was for the best since the patty was so juicy! Although the patty is under-salted on its own it works well with the spicy relish, bacon, and cheese. I am fairly high up on the scale for spice tolerance so the relish might not be for you who can’t handle jalapeños on your nachos. The bacon was too small but it was just crispy enough to overlook the size. What I couldn’t overlook was the iceberg lettuce under the patty; maybe it was too hot but it looked wilted to the point of being almost old. Maybe try a more resilient green? Or put the lettuce on top? Thankfully the meat was cooked rare as I requested and was delicious. One of our servers said that they cannot cook medium rare, it would have to be either rare or medium. That is weird. Especially when they are touting their«American steakhouse experience,» you had better be able to cook the meat to the customer’s request. Service was very good and we were constantly checked up on but not to an annoying extent. To enjoy with the burger I got a ginger ale(35 dkk) which turned out to be Fever Tree. Nice! However, be wary that water, both sparkling and still, costs 45 dkk per person. Might as well get a soda or beer at that point. I was so curious about their wine list but unfortunately I was a little hungover on this visit so I didn’t dare try. Next time!

I have been lucky enough to eat here twice, and both times were so amazing! The views are great and the bar is very nice. The place is smaller and has a more intimate feel than Bredgade, but the food is still amazing. Their sommelier Temmi is spot on, and knows his wine! I gave him a few challenges with my taste preferences, but he was fantastic at matching white, red and dessert wine with the different courses. If you want a special meal in the city, take your friends or significant other here… it definitely has the WOW factor!

In my mind one of the best steakhouse we have in CPH. The new penthouse is great and more intimate than the other Mash locations. Service though is something they can improve and have to at a place like this. However the food is brilliant! Please do your self a favor and go to the bar before dinner.
