Seriously good food, if slightly overpriced. The pictures on their menu don’t do the food justice. Best Tom Yum I’ve ever had. Beef was awesome too. Presentation was great– everything came in matching porcelain. Ate on an empty Monday early afternoon so can’t comment on the service when it’s busy, but they nailed it when it was slow :)

Delicious Thai in the middle of Denmark. A short walk from the hotel and an unassuming entrance with delectable flavor.

Good thai food, good service, slightly overpriced — would go again. Going down five steep steps in Sankt Peter Stræde you get to the cosy Sithep Thai Restaurant located in the basement and 1st floor(at street level) of the building. We chose to sit upstairs as it seemed to be the nicer of the two floors. The restaurant is split into small rooms and actually both feels and looks like your Danish grandmother’s old apartment, which makes it feel cosy, and makes for a nice, quiet atmosphere. I was here with a friend and we accidentally ended up sitting at a reserved table, but the waiter worked around the problem and we never had to move. The food was really good and the service likewise. You can get something similar at Scurry Hub for less, but then you don’t get table service and the cosy atmosphere. For a date or something similar I can definitely recommend this place.

Food was great, veggies were fresh, plate was made spicy just as requested. Seemed pretty expensive for Thai food but was definitely good eating. Service was also really great, definitely would recommend if you are hungry for something with a kick after eating smørrebrød too many days in a row.

Summary: Extremely cozy and affordable Thai place. A great choice and very convenient to nearby hotels. Upstairs window tables are nice. Atmosphere: The restaurant is incredibly cozy with its upstairs dining atmosphere. I quite loved the homestyle décor, though it was an odd mixture of Thailand meets the country side of Denmark. It’s quiet and great for a conversation with friends. Service: Service was helpful and prompt. I found them to be quite friendly with just the right amount of checking up on me. Food: The coconut soup(Tom Kha) is fantastic here. Very fresh ingredients. The basil beef is really well done, with more veggies than I am use to(a positive). Very flavorful and well done.
While you are taking a walk through the old and beautiful Copenhagen town you will, not far from the old university area, pass by the Thai restaurant, Sithep. It is one of the best Thai restaurants when it comes to good Thai food to reasonable prices. From the outside not very much will tell you this. The owner is definitely too modest in my opinion. So don´t hesitate. Walk right in even if you have to walk through a lower part of the restaurant and up the stairs. There you will be part of an intimate and warm atmosphere, where the food can be enjoyed from a real Thai kitchen. Mild or strong is up to you. Just tell the nice waitress what you want. This is important to know, because today you too often meet Thai food the European way — no spices at all. I can´t find any dish of importance missing on the menu. The wine list would perhaps not satisfy the Expertise, but no bigger deal. I prefer the Thai beer, of course.
