I really do like this store and it really has some unique products. It is expensive though! I remember I bought 300 dollar shoes(that I really love). The other item I bought was a plain black shirt that was really cheap(well okay it was on sale for 10 – 15 bucks and it was originally like 35, so that was good). Some of the items I’d get but they’re either too pricey or kind of unflattering. The store is green(that’s one of my fave colours btw) and I love the décor of the store; it’s cute and bright. I recommend to most to get something from here. Sometimes it can be hard to find something you would like, but with a little bit of searching, you could find something. I’d give this a 3.5 but rounded up to a 4:)

I wish I could say better things about Trove… I truly want to support them, and I like some of their selection. But I’ve gone in a number of times and have even bought things from them. I just haven’t been happy. I find the staff inconsistent. Some are wonderful and some seem stuck up, lazy and rude. I also find some of their merchandise is not well made and fits poorly.

Goodness, I cant help heading back to this store again and again. Besides the great Canadian artist that they carry for clothing and handbags. Scarves, jewelry and other essentials to make your wardore sing, are all here ladies. Stocking and the coolest selection of shoes. Oh yeah they carry Fly London one of the hottest brands out there… The women in there ROCK! they are wonderful. Helpful and super funky.

I just moved back to the High Park area this weekend and took the time to wander through Bloor West as I hadn’t been there in awhile… so how excited was I to see that Trove had opened a second location! The original was down the street from my old apartment… so apparently I can only reside within walking distance of one of their stores. Who knew? This store had a lot of the same great finds although a little less to choose from, I think. They had a sale on(which was great because I do find some of their stuff a little on the pricey side) so the place was pretty busy but the customer service was insanely good despite the store being inundated with people. They only have 3 change rooms so, not surprisingly, there was a small line but the sales girls kept apologizing and checking with those of us who were waiting to make sure we were okay and weren’t getting annoyed, etc. I ended up getting a gorgeous dress for 50% off(score!) but resisted impulse buying any of the lovely jewelry(a little too pricey for me unless I’m really treating myself) or neat eco-friendly bags and shoes. But lord knows, my will power will be weaker the next time I go… and there will be a next time!

Walking through my neighbourhood, I was thrilled to see Trove had replaced the frumpy(unmentionable) store that was there before it. «Could it be that Bloor West Village is becoming cool?» I thought to myself. And Trove is a pretty cool, if not a bit pricey, store. The selection of scarves is beyond amazing; polka dotted lambs wool, olé school argyle prints. Plus they have great choice of unique jewelry, purses(some of them shaped like little dogs!) and clothing. But by far my favourite thing about the store is its selection of eco-friendly shoes. Shoes made with recycled materials and natural dyes. Plus they’re really funky looking! I’m taking my boyfriend there this weekend to drop some Christmas hints.
