I am a wings+beer lover, I had my favorite place for wings(a chain) and still like them, but when I came to the Black Cat for their«Dry Spice» wings, OMG trust me here… these are the best wings Everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr… I havent found a place that will top them. Nuff said

Nice staff and pretty clean. I’ve only been a couple times for breakfast and the price was relly good.

It’s got a fun, friendly and supportive open mic in a back room on Saturdays and Sundays from 1−4pm. I can’t really comment on the rest of the bar, but the staff is a bit inattentive to the open mic participants. If you want some food or a drink, you may have to track down a server.

Okay I suggested to a group of friends that we head to the Black Cat instead of The DarkHorse(horrible service) on Bloor. We were hoping for better service at Black Cat. Sadly the patio is not open for alcohol consumption :(waiting on city permits(3 months at the time we went in). So we had to sit inside with no a/c. There was 10 – 12 of us, half ordered food and we all ordered drinks. We met for 8/8:30pm and were told at 10:30 they were closing early(not a scheduled time). We were willing to overlook the patio not being available, the no a/c and dim lighting but when we were told they were kicking us out because they wanted to shut down early Hmmmmm not so great! When we sat we had to go in the back of the place as the front was full :) There were actually fans blowing in the front room. Too bad I don’t think anyone from our group will be back nor will they suggest to their friends. I was hoping to send Black Cat new customers as they don’t ever seem too busy, now I know why.
