Nine West Shoe Stores

First, I wasn’t certain when they closed, so I called them. They didn’t answer.
Then, I unknowingly arrived only 10 minutes before closing. Sorry, I didn’t know. I was in the store for quite awhile before I got help.
There was one other customer, and two staff, and one was very busy with the one customer, meaning I should have had the attention of the other girl. Alas, it was not to be. The other girl didn’t even acknowledge my presence. I picked out 5 different shoes and stood in the nearly empty store like an idiot. The girl who wasn’t helping anyone made herself appear busy by arranging the shelves, or… whatever.
She WALKED BY ME as I stood there with 5 half-​pairs of shoes in hand, just waiting to be helped. I do not understand what would motivate this sort of behaviour. I understand you want to go home, but guess what? You can’t leave until the customers leave!
Eventually, the busy girl helped me and the other customer at the same time. The other girl didn’t say a word to me except to say goodnight as she locked the door behind me.
Maybe she was under some sort of training? I don’t know, but I have never felt so unappreciated as a customer.
One extra star for carrying what I needed in my size, but seriously. Fire the girl.

Bloor Street and Eaton Centre locations are awesome. I have nothing but positive things to say about Nine West in general. I can honestly say that this is often the best customer service I receive from any store, each and every time I visit. The staff are ALWAYS extremely helpful and genuinely friendly, and not at all pushy. I only buy shoes when they are on sale, which is what many people do. Even when the crazy sales are happening, the girls are cool, nice and super helpful. They go out of their way to find you the shoes you’re after when it’s a size issue (finding it at other locations where they are set aside, or they offer to order and ship them to you.) As for quality of shoe: a Nine West shoe is always solid, lovely and great looking. Plus, the way they have pretty much mastered a heeled shoe (often 3 ½″) being very comfortable, I can only applaud them. Love the style and quality of their flats too.
Regarding returns/​exchanges and price adjustments: they do a lot of different sale promos! There are times when you can definitely receive a no hassle price adjustment as they tick through the different promotions/​events. I’ve received adjustments on recent purchases that I didn’t think would qualify and was pleased when I asked. When it is final price/​final sale, they will tell you up front.

This Nine West is bright and airy with a great selection of shoes. The walls are well stocked and well merchandised to look attractive. There is a great sense of space so I don’t think it would seem crowded even if it was busier than the day I visited.
The girl who dealt with me when I was trying on a few pairs was pleasant and patient with me even though I had her going back and forth to the stockroom for me. She wasn’t even slightly pushy which suits me perfectly. I had a pair of shoes that I had bought in the Eaton Centre with me and was considering exchanging them for ones half a size bigger which they had in stock. The slightly bigger ones were perfect so I decided to go with them.
I realised in the store that I had been overcharged in the Eaton Centre-​the shoes had been on sale but they charged me full price. The assistant on the register checked with her supervisor and they were very apologetic. The supervisor said she’d email the Eaton Centre to let them know their error which I thought was nice. They then refunded me the full price and I bought my correct size. The supervisor even handed me a bottle of water-​I think as a compensation for my trouble! I liked her management style-​she was busy on the floor, she dealt with my issue, she helped the assistant to navigate the computer system and she managed to keep smiling.
If I want Nine West shoes again (and I’m sure I will), I’ll return to this location. That might be pretty soon actually-​I saw a nice pair of black patent peep toes there when I was in. I’m pretty sure I need them…

I had broken a heel and was in emergency mode to find a pair of pumps quickstyle. I ran down Bloor hoping to find a shoe store that was still opened. Nine West was about to close in five minutes, but the staff was more than helpful in finding me a pair of suitable and comfortable heels. Though I ended up paying quite the shiny penny for my shoes, I was still pretty happy with the good find.
