Make no mistake ladies and gentleman, this store is to be avoided. Staff: It’s a hit or miss. Some staff are nice, while others are disdainful. But a common theme here is that they know nothing about shoes. I find the only(big) store in Toronto that has sales people that really know shoes is at Harry Rosen. Boutique stores like Leather Foot(yorkville) or Rego(downtown) knows their stuff very well. Example: the staff do not know the welt on the shoes, whereas I could tell, despite having never sold shoes before. I remember a woman telling me that a pair of shoes are excellent quality simply because they are made in Italy… who is she kidding? That particular pair was cemented, meaning the sole and the leather upper were glued on. It does not help that the shoes are overpriced for what they are worth. Your best bet would be going to Leatherfoot(expensive), Rego(a little better), or Brooks Brothers.

I give 5 stars because this place has it all going on. Great décor, quality product, well displayed and a very experienced sales staff, that don’t latch onto you but still manage to help you out. I think part of the reason they nail the service is because they are too busy with multiple customers, they give you enough space while serving others without you feeling ignored. I prefer the Cole Haan in the basement of Sogo in Causeway Bay Hong Kong for a lot of reason including better price, no tax and better selection. However, every time I go to Cole Haan here in Toronto, I manage to buy a pair of shoes. I really feel compelled to give Ramon a plug, if you shop here ask for Ramon, no one will take better care of you. I should also mention if you have a problem, they make it right. They stand behind the quality of their product. I’ve experienced this first hand. They couldn’t do enough to satisfy me.

Beautiful shoes and handbags here. The styles are mostly pretty classic and simple, although there are some more fashion-forward items like brogues with neon laces and soles and sky high stilettos. But I usually come here for really functional everyday/work shoes that I can, you know, actually walk in for more than a block. The quality is really great. They also have lots of soft leather handbags, in addition to small leather goods, sunglasses, belts, and trench coats. Staff are discreet and helpful. There’s no cash register, you just wait on one of the comfy sofas and they will process your payment and wrap your purchase nicely in the bag and bring it out to you. If you shop here a lot, it is worth it to get on their email list. A few times a year they have sales and ‘additional 25% off sale items’ emails.

I love this store. Been here and coming back… I guess as you enter there is a bit of a snobbish air, but I actually reserved and ordered shoes from this store and spoke with a very knowledgeable and patient SA. I originally chose one colourway and ended up trying two different ones. My SA was absolutely wonderful and commented honestly and made me feel comfortable. I am absolutely going back to buy more shoes from here and definitely finding my SA again. If you want someone who’s very genuine and sweet, her name is Nori!

Went here with a friend who wanted to pick up a pair of shoes that weren’t available at another store she tried. The sales staff were super friendly and didn’t rush her(even though she can be really indecisive!). You’d think you could expect that at these prices, but it doesn’t always happen. And maybe this is nerdy, but instead of having a cash they just bring you the credit/debit machine to you. So convenient for someone who is lazy, like me!

Cole Haan has a beautiful store and nice looking shoes. The only downside is that they fall apart. I have purchased 3 pairs of shoes from Cole Haan that have ripped. Not good enough quality for the price. Oh, and they’re also much cheaper in the US.

I really love Cole Haan handbags. Since purchasing my first this past spring, I am now practically a salesperson for Cole Haan, I am such a fan! I now own three Cole Haan large handbags/totes and wear them regularly. They are my favorites. Cole Haan is way better looking and better priced than Coach. The staff are always really helpful and friendly whenever I go in there.

We have been fans of Cole Haan’s men shoes for over 5 years now. Combining Nike Air Technology into Dress shoes and boots was an ingenious idea. The newly renovated store looks fantastic now. Staffs are very nice, polite and helpful. They make me feel like I can always go in and have a look, without being pressured to buy something. I just wish that with strong Canadian dollars, prices should be more competitive to US stores.
