In this post-HST era, I manage to find myself coming back for more. I come here for the usual Combo 3 — Skewer of Grilled Pork, Deep fried springroll & lettuce salad over a bed of rice /noodles(8⁄10) The Goods — Pork skewer is usually very good(except for those odd days where it’s a bit dried out). The star of the show is the roll dip. It’s very authentic as it’s wrapped in rice paper & deep fried.

Okay, yeah, so I’ve never met a cuisine I didn’t like, but Vietnamese food is a particular delight for me. When I try to explain it to people who haven’t tried it yet, I usually say that it’s sort of like a fusion of Chinese and French cooking, but that doesn’t really do it justice. At Vinam, I recommend the combo plate with roll dip, steamed crepes, and brochette. Other stuff is good, too, but those dishes are the ones which are most uniquely Vietnamese to me.
